While the immediate area isn’t typical of Copenhagen (it’s very modern), you’re only a fifteen-minute walk from The Little Mermaid. The waterfront is also just around the corner. High-ceilinged and minimalist with warm undertones, it’s great for families. Although it could do with some wall art here and there, we love that this place makes you feel at home instantly. *It’s a ground floor home with huge windows (there are curtains though) – this might be an issue for some*The walls are a bit bare*The immediate area isn't very lively when it comes to restaurants, bars and coffee shops*When we visited, the curtain in the master bedroom was broken – the host is aware of this*The terrace isn’t cosy or private – it’s also not the most well-maintained*The wifi is a bit slow*The walls could do with a lick of paint to cover up scuff marks*The bed in the master bedroom is on the narrow side BarbequeBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCentral HeatingDishw...More Details

    Old Town Pad

Near Copenhagen's historic town hall, this apartment occupies an enviable spot in the heart of the capital. From here, you'll find plenty of popular tourist attractions and cultural hotspots nearby – Tivoli Gardens and Rådhuspladsen Metro station are less than a five-minute walk away. Return home through a quiet courtyard and kick back in the sleek living area. The design is chic and minimalist, with a fully equipped kitchen that adds the potential for home cooking. It's worth noting that the bedroom is a little small, but we think the pad is an attractive place to hang out after days spent sightseeing. *You'll be able to check yourself in here. *At full occupancy, two people will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living area. *While there is a lift here, you'll need to climb a short staircase to enter the apartment building. *Given the home's central spot, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay. *If you're travelling ...More Details

    Order of the Elephant

Ideally located and only two minutes from Amalienborg Palace, this stylish and immaculate home with plenty of space. With four bedrooms, two living spaces and an open-plan kitchen/dining area, large groups will be very comfortable here. The glass-walled bedrooms might leave you feeling a little exposed, but they are a cool design feature that adds a unique feel. As well as being close to the Queen's winter residence, you're also only a five-minute walk from the iconic canalside district of Nyhavn. It's the perfect place to while away a long summer's evening. Either with a cold one on the quayside like the locals or at one of the many restaurants overlooking the old tall ships. * Heavy packers be aware – there’s not a lot of space to unpack your suitcases in the bedrooms* Even though the glass walls are a cool design feature, it might not be to everyone’s taste to have a transparent wall between private and communal spaces* Convenient s...More Details

    Silver Bear

This city-centre apartment is seriously chic – we absolutely loved its minimalist Scandi vibes. The communal area is open and bright, offering plenty of space for all six guests to hang out together. There are thoughtful touches like vintage illustrated posters hanging on the wall above comfortable furniture from New Scandinavian Design maestros, Bolia. The glass-walled bedrooms are definitely a novel touch and create a strong impact. They certainly won't be to everyone's taste, but all have velvet curtains to pull across for some privacy when needed. With views onto Copenhagen's main shopping street, Strøget, you couldn't be better placed to hit the luxury boutiques and independent shops when the mood takes you. Plus, you're not far from the colourful waterside bars and restaurants of Nyhavn or the high culture of the Royal Danish Theatre – a little over a five-minute walk away. * Located right on Strøget, it can get a bit noisy with ...More Details

    A Stately Touch

The living is easy at this sleek apartment located right in the beating heart of Copenhagen's historic centre. On the cobblestone streets below, you'll discover the Rosenborg Royal Castle and 17th Century Round Tower, both just around the corner. And the pedestrianised shopping district of Strøget is just a six-minute stroll away, with its famous historic department stores, Illum and Magasin du Nord. When legs are weary and arms are ladened with bags, you'll find top-rated restaurants and cosy cafés all close by. Then hop on the Nørreport metro, just five minutes from your door, to uncover other corners of the city. Back home, you'll be impressed by the sense of space and cool, contemporary finishes. Designed with a sleek Scandinavian look in mind, there's a minimalist colour palette throughout and a generous helping of natural light thanks to the lofty windows. Part of an exclusive serviced apartment building, you can expect the privac...More Details

    Hygge Hideaway

Quietly removed from downtown Copenhagen in the newly-built Ørestad neighbourhood, this home would suit those looking to escape the crowds. There are vast green parks nearby for morning jogs, and when you're ready to hit the must-see sights, it's all just a couple of metro stops away. Back home, expect contemporary Scandi-inspired interiors and a balcony to call your own. If six guests share, the last two will have to make do with the sofa bed in the living room. Not ideal for some, but it could work great for a small family sharing. *This home sleeps six guests, with the last two guests sleeping on a double sofa bed in the lounge space. We think this sofa bed is better suited to children sharing or for shorter stays.*This home is located within an apartment building with a shared entrance. Expect to bump into other guests during your stay.*Bathroom essentials are provided to help settle you in.*You’ll need to respect quiet hours betwe...More Details

    Twentieth Century

Twentieth Century oozes old-time grandeur with a modern twist. It feels extremely personal as it’s brimming with trinkets – we especially love all the items that the host collected when she lived in Japan. Awe-inspiring and monumental in every way, it is also a loved family home. Located in the upmarket part of Frederiksberg, it’s the kind of home that invites you to spend time with your loved ones – whether that means slowing down in the garden, cooking a feast in the kitchen, or relaxing in front of the fireplace, we will leave up to you. *There’s only one shower to share between all guests*This is a lived-in home – expect to share the space with some personal belongings (photos, toiletries, clothes)*There’s a pull-out bed in bedroom two and three – it can be made into a double bed if need be*Bedroom four also doubles as the office – and it comes with a Murphy bed*There are two beds in both bedroom two and three – great for children,...More Details

    Cityscape Sanctuary

If you’re searching for classic Scandinavian design in a fantastic location, this apartment delivers. Located on the third floor of a historic building without a lift, there is plenty of space for a group of nine to relax after a day of exploring. It’s worth noting there is only one bathroom here, but it's ideal for remote workers with dedicated desk space and families will appreciate the children’s amenities available for an additional fee. From here, it’s just a short stroll to the bars and restaurants of Nyhavn, while shops and historic sights are also within walking distance. *This home can accommodate seven extra guests with prior approval from the host. *Please note this apartment is located on the third floor with no lift access. *Given the home's central spot, it is possible you may hear some street noise throughout your stay. Harbourview Haven

This modern Bryggen Syd apartment is perfect for a waterfront Copenhagen stay. Known for its swimming canals, this neighbourhood is a new development next to Islands Brygge, so you can expect plenty of opportunities for swimming, kayaking and drinking by the water. There’s a gym in the building, as well as a rooftop terrace – just the spot for sharing Danish craft beers. Inside this home, you’ll find a minimal and practical space with an inviting dining area and a private balcony. Your host can configure the bedrooms how you’d like, just let them know if you’d prefer a king-sized or twin-single arrangement. *Your host operates several apartments here, so the exact view, layout and furnishings might differ slightly from the photos. The Conrad

Split across two levels with a wooden ladder connecting the two, this two-bedroom home is ideal for younger travellers looking to be right in the centre of Copenhagen. Even though it lacks in entertainment options, you’ll not have to worry about finding things to do because The Conrad is situated in a repurposed office building on top of Strøget, Copenhagen’s busiest shopping street. * Plant lovers beware - the home is filled with fake plants* There are only two proper bedrooms, so guest 5 and 6 would be on a sofa bed in the living room* The flat is definitely on the smaller and more functional side* It’s an open loft style flat with no doors and an open mezzanine that houses one of the bedrooms, so expect little privacy* The wooden ladder leading up to the mezzanine bedroom is very steep and has no rails, so it’s not suitable for toddlers or older guests* Be aware that this floor is located on the 3rd floor with no elevator, so you wi...More Details

    Harbourside Story

Even though Harbourside Story is a little characterless in terms of style, it’s in a brand new building with plenty of modern amenities. This part of Sydhavnen isn’t the liveliest part of Copenhagen, but if you love a fresh sea breeze, you’ll feel right at home here. You can swim, fish and kayak on your doorstep – but you might have to take the S-train to go out for dinner. * There’s currently no home manual – you’ll have to ask for help on how to use the appliances* When we visited, we noticed some scuff marks on the walls* Tall people be aware – the shower is only 195cm tall* There’s only one bathroom for five guests* The host won’t be there to meet you, you’ll have to pick up the keys from their office – it’s about 30 minutes away by public transport* This isn’t the liveliest neighbourhood in Copenhagen – but you’re close to Copenhagen’s harbour BalconyBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCentral HeatingCooking EssentialsDishwasherFree Parkin...More Details

    Magical Impressionism

Magical Impressionism reinterprets old Copenhagen in a modern version. Slightly uneven floors and crooked ceilings, it’s the kind of place that makes us feel welcome and piques our curiosity at the same time. While the home doesn’t offer much in terms of entertainment, Copenhagen’s lively Indre By is right on your doorstep – within minutes you could be shopping on Strøget, watching a play at the Royal Theatre or perusing Nyhavn. *Guest 3 would be on a sofa bed in the small room adjacent to the master bedroom – this also doubles as the laundry room*Guests 4 and 5 would be on a sofa bed in the smaller living room*This is an old home, typical of this part of Copenhagen – expect some uneven floors*The windows are not soundproof – there's likely to be some noise in the evening due to the central location*This home is on the second floor with no lift – be prepared for some stairs*The bathroom is a little tired-looking – it could do with an u...More Details

Back home, there's a laptop desk for remote working and you'll have shared access to a children's playground for those travelling with little ones. But do keep in mind that this home is above a bar which can get quite noisy – those after an earlier night may want to pack earplugs. *Given the spot above a popular bar, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay. *Your host operates several apartments here, so the exact view, layout and furnishings might differ slightly from the photos. Old Town Retreat

In the heart of Copenhagen, this central pad is a great base for those exploring the city. The popular Strøget shopping district is on your doorstep, with restaurants, bars and boutiques within easy reach. And for sightseeing ventures across town, the Rådhuspladsen Metro stop is a five-minute walk away. Back home, the design is contemporary rather than charming, while the quiet courtyard is a nice bonus. The sofa bed adds flexibility for larger groups and the dining table doubles up as a handy workspace, but do keep in mind that some street noise should be expected here. *You'll be able to check yourself in here. *At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area. *This is a single-level home on the ground floor. *If you're travelling for work, you won't find a dedicated desk here. South Side

Experience Denmark's capital like a true Copenhagener at this ultra-slick townhouse perched beside the city's South Harbour. Quietly removed from the inner-city hustle in a new waterfront development, you'll need to hop on the harbour ferry or buses when heading downtown. Or keep things local – there's a lovely café, playground and shops to pick up essentials within walking distance. At full occupancy, the last guest will have to make do with a sofa bed in the TV snug. But we're happy to let that slide for a home with such strong design aesthetics and private terraces to boot. *This home sleeps five guests, with the last guest sleeping on a sofa bed in the TV snug. Strøget Delight

You're right in the thick of things at this smart downtown apartment, perched along Copenhagen's shopping mecca of Strøget. The metro is just 100 metres from your door, though we doubt you'll need it with buzzy Nyhavn Harbour and countless happening restaurants and cosy cafes within walking distance. It's worth noting if four of you share, the last two guests will have to make do with the sofa bed in the living space. You'll also need to prepare for some street noise from time to time. But we'll take that for a home with such an unbeatable location. *At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area, which may be better suited to children sharing or a short-term stays. *There is no allocated parking at this apartment, so we recommend sticking to the easily accessible public transport where possible. *This home is located within an apartment building with a shared entrance. At First Blush

Cosy yet small, At First Blush is a typical Copenhagen home. We love its feminine vibes and elegant touches – the abundance of posters, artworks and trinkets are particular favourites. Vesterbro is a hipster mecca and great for the younger, artsy crowd. There are plenty of coffee shops, independent eateries and design boutiques nearby, especially since Kødbyen is just down the road. It is worth noting that parts of Istedgade are still a little rough around the edges, which becomes more and more visible the closer you get to Copenhagen Central Station. *Caroline would love it if you could help out by watering her plants*The bedroom is on the small side*It’s on the third floor with no elevator – not everyone will appreciate the free work-out*In true Copenhagen fashion, the bathroom is very small*The shower is more of a wet room than a cabin – the entire bathroom floor will get wet when you shower*It’s a lived-in home, expect to share the...More Details

    Nordic Comfort

Sleek and stylish, this apartment has everything you might need for a comfortable stay in Copenhagen. There's plenty of room for your group to spread out and relax – as long as two guests don't mind sleeping on a sofa bed in the living area. You'll also have access to a small balcony, which doesn't offer the most inspiring views, although we still think it's a pleasant space to unwind. Trendy Nørrebro is a short walk away, with plenty of shopping, parks and dining options nearby. Slightly raised above Copenhagen’s busiest shopping street, Strøget, Pantomime is right in the action. Copenhagen Charm

Nestled in the heart of Copenhagen, this apartment is ideal for a couple’s retreat. A mere five-minute walk will take you to Tivoli, and you'll also find the inner city lakes on your doorstep when you fancy a fresh-air stroll. While it can sleep up to four people, two guests will draw the short straw and be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area. With the bedroom separated from the main living space with a glass partition, it lacks some privacy, so we think it’s a home best suited to families. There’s no oven here, but with the apartment’s enviable location you’ll find eateries on your doorstep, so dining out is a breeze. *Your host operates several apartments here – the exact view, layout and furnishings may differ from the photos.*Given the home's central spot, expect to hear street noise during your stay. *At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area.*A glass partition separates the bedroom ...More Details

    The Design Show

This stunning apartment is a real one-of-a-kind in the Danish capital. Not only is it in a wonderful location (the Little Mermaid and Amalienborg Palace are only ten minutes away), but it merges historic features with contemporary Danish design in the most elegant way possible. It's a rarity to find homes this large in Copenhagen – especially complete with modern bathrooms – so we were thrilled when this one came across our desk. The bedrooms are among the most stylish we're seen, with forest green feature walls, eye-catching artwork and headboards held by leather straps. While the Crittal-style glass partition walls of the second and third bedrooms are certainly a conversation starter. On long summer days, a couple of French doors open out onto Juliette balconies so you can let the fresh air and that city buzz inside. As a bonus, this three-bedroom home is located along the Crown Prince's preferred cycling route, so you might catch a g...More Details

    Bouquet of Flowers

A flat roomy enough for ten people right in the city centre is pretty much unheard of, so imagine our surprise when we found this gem. With five stylish bedrooms and an amply-sized living area meant for socialising, there's enough space here for a big group to spread out and get comfortable. The kitchen isn't massive – we'd only recommend it for cooking breakfast and other light meals – but we liked the vanity area outside the bathrooms, where you can prep hair and makeup without hogging the loo. There are other touches, too – USB plugs by all the beds, an Apple TV in the living space for at-home movie nights and no single-use plastic. This building has the highest eco-certification (A15) and it's run on renewable energy, so it's as good for the environment as it is stylish. Best of all is the location – Strøget is just around the corner, with restaurants, shops, cafes and bars all right on your doorstep. You're only two minutes away fr...More Details

    Science Fiction

Filled with personal artwork and trinkets, Science Fiction is extremely characterful. It’s the kind of home where you feel like you get to know the host, even though he’s not around. It also has high ceilings, beautiful stucco detailing, and a hammock for lazy days. The immediate area is full of things to do. Østerbro is incredibly family-friendly, especially if you’re looking for lovely green parks, artisanal bakeries, and charming restaurants. *It’s a lived-in home – expect to share the space with a lot of the host’s belongings (toys, photos, clothes)*The bathroom is a little tired–looking – there’s no shower curtain and the shower is also handheld*The walls could do with a lick of paint to cover up scuff marks*It’s on the fourth floor with no lift – be prepared for some up and down*The rooftop is shared between all residents of the building*The bed in bedroom two is very narrow*If travelling with children, the host can provide two a...More Details

Even though The Lana is largely minimalist, it’s got plenty of charm with intimate sloped ceilings, bursts of funky colour, and artsy decorations. The bright orange two-seater adds joie de vivre, and we also love the impressive collection of royal blue Arne Jacobsen Ant chairs. This one-bedroom home is right in the centre of Copenhagen, so if you’re looking to be bang in the middle of everything, The Lana could be the one for you. * There’s currently no air-conditioning or fan in this home – as it’s the top floor, it might get hot in summer* It is located in the centre of Copenhagen, so expect a little bit of noise at night if you sleep with your windows open* The kitchen is missing amenities like a toaster, kettle, and coffee machine* There’s not a lot of space for hanging your clothes Bike ShedBlack-Out BlindsBlenderBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCooking EssentialsDeskDishwasherElectricity AdaptorsFanFreezerFridgeHair DryerIronIroning Bo...More Details

    A Viking Treasure

As Copenhagen boltholes go, this is as central as it gets. Strøget, the mile-long pedestrianised shopping street, is right on your doorstep. All the must-see sights are within strolling distance. And should you need to be somewhere fast, Gammel Strand Metro is just a four-minute walk away. While there's plenty of space to spill out in that light-filled living room with table tennis set-up, it's worth noting the last two bedrooms are pocket-sized, with limited floor space. Also, there's only one bathroom – so be prepared for some waiting around in the mornings. But for a home this central, we can let that slide. *The last two bedrooms are quite snug, with limited storage space. The beds are pushed against both walls, making them only accessible from the bottom, and one of the bedrooms doesn't have a window, so daylight is limited. We think they're best for children or teens. *A free cot and high chair are available on request. *There's ...More Details

    The Emerald Scallop

Carefully curated, The Emerald Scallop really reflects the host’s personality. Brimming with characterful details like the wall of art, gold plated walls and plants, it’s full of personality and charm. The bedroom is secluded and quiet with views onto the communal backyard, which is accessible to guests. We can’t get enough of the bathroom – just look at that scallop sink, gold ceiling and emerald seashell floor. Frederiksberg isn't the centre of Copenhagen, but it's a posh neighbourhood with plenty of upscale restaurants and quiet streets. * This second-floor home doesn’t have a lift, so you’ll be climbing the thirty-two steps with your bags* The host isn’t much of a film fanatic – there’s no TV in this home* There’s only one bedroom so guests 3 and 4 would be on a sofa bed in the communal area* One of the bedrooms, belonging to the host’s daughter, isn’t available for guests to use Buzzer / Wireless IntercomCentral HeatingDishwasher...More Details
