Ideal for a group of friends or perhaps a multi-generational break, this farmhouse is said to be the oldest building in the village and, although it's been smartly modernised, it's still beautifully traditional. Just as it would have been when it was built, the main house is divided into separate apartments – one upstairs and one on the ground floor. With two small kitchens, two bedrooms and two bathrooms each, it's perfect if you'd like to all mingle in the outdoor space but retreat to some privacy at night. And with an additional one-bedroom guest house too, it becomes even more flexible.Deep in the Cortona countryside, it's a great base for exploring Tuscany, with Arezzo, Montepulciano, Siena and Assisi all within easy reach for a day trip by car. Get out and about on walking or cycling routes and even visit the coast if you feel like it. While you're out, don't forget to pick up some delicious local food and drink – perhaps stopping...More Details

If you're looking for a central Florentine home that oozes Italian charm, this is it. And as a bonus, it boasts uninterrupted views of the famous Pitti Palace, sitting directly across from the magnificent structure. This characterful abode has been masterfully restored, seamlessly marrying original features with design-led touches. Shuttered windows, hardwood floors and whitewashed ceiling beams create an elegant aesthetic, complemented with tasteful antiques and plush soft furnishings.Whichever double bedroom you choose, you'll be given the premium treatment. Comfort has been given the top priority here, followed closely by the restful colour scheme of off-white, soft greys and jewel-toned accents. We think the deep teal wallpaper adds a boutique feel to the space. From this location, you won't struggle to tick Florence's must-see sights off your itinerary. Piazza della Signoria, considered the city's heart, is just a short hop across t...More Details

Apex has so many things going for it that focussing on the specifics seems unfair. Needless to say that everything in the flat is of the highest quality, whether that’s the carrara marble in the bathroom, or the four-poster bed. In fact it’s the bedrooms (or three of them anyway) that make the biggest impression. They’re what you might imagine from a seventeenth-century noble mansion, and while obviously all these things are personal preferences, they make for a seriously good night’s sleep. *There's no lift in the building so you'll have to take the stairs*The fourth bedroom has a sofa bed for one person, rather than a permanent bed*The access to the courtyard is through the bathroom, which is slightly unusual*The fake plants feel a bit unnecessary Air ConditioningBalconyBathtubBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCentral HeatingCoffee MakerCot / CribDishwasherElectricity AdaptorsFreezerFridgeHair DryerHangersHigh ChairIronIroning BoardKitchenK...More Details
