Bario Highlands is inhabited by the Kelabit tribe who are well known for their friendliness and hospitality. The highland, a plateau surrounded by mountain ranges, is approximately about 3120 ft above sea level. The temperature is between 14 - 30 degree C, but could drop below 10 at night depending on the season. We have about 9 rooms offering about 20 beds. Three of the bedrooms have fantastic view of the paddy field and mountains. Two large bedrooms downstairs that could accommodate between 4 - 6 people. The most unique feature is in the kitchen with a 50 years history, called the "tetel", an earth fireplace.
