Located in the central neighbourhood of Malasaña, this apartment puts guests in easy reach of Madrid’s hot spots. The Royal Palace and Plaza Mayor are a short stroll away, and the Plaza de España metro station is reached in around five minutes by foot. In terms of the home itself, there’s an open-plan living area (though space is compromised when the sofa bed’s in use) and two small but comfortable bedrooms. Just so you know, there are stairs to climb to reach the front door, so you might want to pack light. *Parking in Madrid can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to the easily accessible public transport where possible. *At capacity, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living space. When you see as many flats as we do, you learn very quickly to tell which homes have been done up for convenience, and which are a labour of love. Toquilla clearly falls into the latter category. It’s been designed as a whole, with thought and attention put into the schemes, as well as the materials. We particularly liked the concrete pillars and the glass walls, neither of which are especially common in Madrid. The only real complaint we have is the fake plants – They’re understandable for the convenience, but really, most places would be better off without anything. *We like the look of the glass wall between one of the bedrooms and the living room, but it doesn't leave much to the imagination*That bedroom also has two single beds pushed together, rather than a real double bed*We found some limescale on the taps*Neither of the bathrooms have any windows*Two people can sleep on a double sofa bed in the living room Air ConditioningBla...More Details

Located near Goya, Evita will bring you into an authentic, beautiful neighbourhood, only minutes away from Retiro Park. The nearby buildings, which you can see from the comfort of your huge bay windows, boast typical townhouse decoration, and there are lots of fantastic cafes nearby. Although this house is simply decorated, every item feels like it's in the right place, creating a coherent modern look.
