    Focal Point

Focal Point boasts quite a view. With floor to ceiling windows and balconies on either side of the home, there’s plenty to take in. Another highlight of this home is the great sound system and CD collection – there's sure to be something up your street. Located in a quiet residential area, just a short ten-minute walk to Tivoli Gardens, it’s perfect for those looking for a peaceful place to crash after a day exploring the city. * The bedroom feels a little bare – it could do with some added furniture or wall decorations* We noticed some stains and scratches on the kitchen countertop that's in need of a bit of TLC* Bookworms might be disappointed by the lack of reading lights in the bedroom* This home can accommodate three people, but be warned that guest 3 will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the communal area BalconyBarbequeBlack-Out BlindsBuzzer / Wireless IntercomDishwasherDryerDVD LibraryEspresso MachineFreezerFridgeGardenHair DryerH...More Details

    A Noble Touch

We're not going to lie – this top floor apartment is a bit of a climb. But once you reach the top, we promise the views of Round Tower and Trinitatis Church are totally worth the effort. With sloped ceilings, exposed wooden beams and original doors, the character of the building isn't lost, and the clean, minimal Nordic design only enhances the charm. We loved relaxing under the eaves, kicking back on the sofa for a Netflix night and rustling up nibbles in the sleek kitchen. Even better is the hotel-quality service, allowing you to have the best of both worlds. The virtual 24/7 concierge can answer any questions, while your hosts are more than happy to arrange reservations at some of Copenhagen's best eateries as well as bike rentals if you want to cycle. And the location? Terrific. It's in the centre of Copenhagen, right down the street from Rosenborg Castle and Kongens Have gardens. Strøget is only a few minutes away – perfect for sho...More Details

    At First Blush

Cosy yet small, At First Blush is a typical Copenhagen home. We love its feminine vibes and elegant touches – the abundance of posters, artworks and trinkets are particular favourites. Vesterbro is a hipster mecca and great for the younger, artsy crowd. There are plenty of coffee shops, independent eateries and design boutiques nearby, especially since Kødbyen is just down the road. It is worth noting that parts of Istedgade are still a little rough around the edges, which becomes more and more visible the closer you get to Copenhagen Central Station. *Caroline would love it if you could help out by watering her plants*The bedroom is on the small side*It’s on the third floor with no elevator – not everyone will appreciate the free work-out*In true Copenhagen fashion, the bathroom is very small*The shower is more of a wet room than a cabin – the entire bathroom floor will get wet when you shower*It’s a lived-in home, expect to share the...More Details

    Look At You

Brimming with natural light, Danish design furniture, as well as a lovely garden that invites you to spend time with your loved ones, Look At You is one of those homes you’ll never want to leave. It is a family home to perfection, and it has a modern, fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook up a feast. While there’s only one bathroom, we love that it has both a bathtub and a shower, a rarity in Copenhagen. Located in peaceful Frederiksberg, charming Værnedamsvej is close by, and so are the lakes, a popular spot to go for a walk. *It’s a lived-in home – expect to share the space with some of the host’s belongings*As two of the bedrooms are set up for children, we recommend this home for a family*The master bedroom isn’t super big – you can only access the bed from one side*The single bed in bedroom two is actually a bunk bed – it’s only the top bunk that’s in use though BarbequeBathtubBicyclesBlack-Out BlindsBoard Games...More Details

    Antique Fantastique

Set against the backdrop of a typical Copenhagen apartment, Antique Fantastique comes to live through its swanky feel. A mix of minimalist style and family heirlooms, you get the best of both worlds, modern and old. It’s very characterful – and we love how Anne-Charlotte has customised it to her style, with the gorgeous blue kitchen cabinetry, and a bed that also doubles as a desk. Located right by Sortedams Lake, you’re in great hands when it comes to things to do – The National Gallery of Denmark is close by, as well as the Botanical Gardens. *It’s on the second floor with no elevator – not everyone will love the free work-out*A dog usually lives here – it won’t be around during your stay, but allergies might be an issue*It’s a lived-in home, so there won’t be a lot of space to unpack your suitcase in the bedroom BalconyBarbequeBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCarbon Monoxide DetectorCentral HeatingCoffee MakerCooking EssentialsDishwasherD...More Details

A bohemian atmosphere meets Japanese zen in this striking home. We particularly love all the original features including the wooden beams, exposed brick walls (and even the creaky floors), which mix beautifully with the hosts’ collection of books and vintage furniture. Since the apartment was renovated in 2013, it has been featured in several lifestyle magazines for its charming design aesthetic. Spread across three floors, unique quirks include the rather rustic ladders that take you up to the second and third floors. Curl up in a cosy corner with a book in hand and live the scene of what seems like it could be a fictional dream. Alongside world literature, the host also supplies guests with access to gym equipment, should you wish to keep up with your fitness routine while visiting Copenhagen. Around the apartment, the immediate area feels very local – the Christianshavn canals are just two minutes away, and so are plenty of restauran...More Details

    The Design Show

This stunning apartment is a real one-of-a-kind in the Danish capital. Not only is it in a wonderful location (the Little Mermaid and Amalienborg Palace are only ten minutes away), but it merges historic features with contemporary Danish design in the most elegant way possible. It's a rarity to find homes this large in Copenhagen – especially complete with modern bathrooms – so we were thrilled when this one came across our desk. The bedrooms are among the most stylish we're seen, with forest green feature walls, eye-catching artwork and headboards held by leather straps. While the Crittal-style glass partition walls of the second and third bedrooms are certainly a conversation starter. On long summer days, a couple of French doors open out onto Juliette balconies so you can let the fresh air and that city buzz inside. As a bonus, this three-bedroom home is located along the Crown Prince's preferred cycling route, so you might catch a g...More Details

    Science Fiction

Filled with personal artwork and trinkets, Science Fiction is extremely characterful. It’s the kind of home where you feel like you get to know the host, even though he’s not around. It also has high ceilings, beautiful stucco detailing, and a hammock for lazy days. The immediate area is full of things to do. Østerbro is incredibly family-friendly, especially if you’re looking for lovely green parks, artisanal bakeries, and charming restaurants. *It’s a lived-in home – expect to share the space with a lot of the host’s belongings (toys, photos, clothes)*The bathroom is a little tired–looking – there’s no shower curtain and the shower is also handheld*The walls could do with a lick of paint to cover up scuff marks*It’s on the fourth floor with no lift – be prepared for some up and down*The rooftop is shared between all residents of the building*The bed in bedroom two is very narrow*If travelling with children, the host can provide two a...More Details

    The Art Director

The Art Director is swanky in every way. A 1920s villa, it’s one of those homes that seems to have come straight out of an interior design magazine. Brimming with bright, natural light, it packs marble floors in the bathrooms, a regal staircase, and a mix of modern and classic design furniture. A family home with a capital F, it invites you to spend time with your loved ones – whether that’s in the garden, the home gym, the table tennis room, or the eye-catching dining room. Charlottenlund isn’t quite central Copenhagen (it’s more suburban), but it’s well-connected to the city centre by way of the S-train. *Charlottenlund is not central – you have to take a train to get to the city centre, which takes about twenty-five minutes*It’s a lived-in home – expect to share the home with the hosts’ belongings (toys, toiletries, clothes)*Two out of the three bedrooms are set up for children*If you’re staying for a longer period, the hosts would ...More Details

    Pictionary

Pictionary is just a five-minute walk away from Copenhagen’s Central station, which means that you’re very well-connected. Vesterbro is also lovely, especially if you’re looking to sample some new restaurants or coffee shops – or want to be in walking distance to Tivoli and Rådhuspladsen. It’s not the most characterful home on our books, but we like that it feels welcoming and bright. The kitchen is definitely the highlight – it’s large, modern, and well-equipped for cooking. *There’s currently no home manual.*The decor is slightly lacking in character – the walls could do with some more artwork.*When we visited, the wifi was a bit slow.*The host has several, near-identical homes in the same building – the layout and minor design details might vary.*It's worth noting that the pillows here aren't particularly plush, so not everyone might find them comfortable. The Magic Flute

The Magic Flute is rich in history. Located just off lively Nyhavn, the building dates all the way back to 1658 (there’s a plaque at the entrance detailing all the owners throughout the years). With crooked, creaky floors, it’s oozing old charm – and paired with Matilde’s artwork, instruments, and personality, it becomes one of a kind. She’s an opera singer and works just down the road in the Royal Opera House, which only makes this home even more special. *It’s a lived-in home – expect to share the space with the host’s belongings*There’s only one bathroom for five guests*While it sleeps five people, one of them would have to be on a sofa bed in the living room*The wifi is a bit slow*Bedroom two and three are set up for children – with top bunks and lots of toys Central HeatingChild FriendlyCoffee MakerCooking EssentialsDishwasherFreezerFridgeGardenHair DryerHangersIronIroning BoardKitchenKitchen UtensilsLaptop Friendly WorkspaceLibr...More Details

    Master of Light

There’s no place like home… Until you’ve stayed in Master of Light that is. Casual luxury at its finest, it’s Copenhagen at its best. The location is extraordinary – you’re right besides Nyhavn, the city’s most famous postcard motif. And we can’t get over the design. Alexander clearly has a passion for Danish design, with works by Bang \u0026 Olufsen and Hans J. Wegner adorning every corner. There’s also a fantastic rooftop terrace with a nine-person hot tub, sun beds and a lounge arrangement, plus fantastic views of Copenhagen's historic buildings. *The roof terrace is only accessible via stairs *Alexander also offers an extra hot tub package with bathrobes and additional towels at a price of 1500 DKK per day Air ConditioningAmazon PrimeBalcony / Rooftop TerraceBathtubBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCentral HeatingCot / CribDishwasherDryerFireplaceFreezerFridgeHair DryerHome Cinema SetupHot TubIronIroning BoardKettleLaptop Friendly Workspa...More Details

    Modern Art

Positively brimming with colour and personality, this funky pad is Danish hygge at its best. It also oozes character, thanks to Sophie, our host, being a psychology student/painter – and showcasing many of her own vibrant artworks throughout the flat. She also offers an extensive fashion and art book collection for guests to choose from, plus there's a lovely private balcony for a spot of afternoon reading. Enjoy meals in the quirky dining area, with chic lighting, Eames-influenced chairs and brickwork wallpaper, that creates an industrial-styled space. Splashes of colour are painted on the home's blank canvas of wooden floors and whitewashed walls to make for a modern and artsy apartment that really packs a punch. In true Copenhagen fashion, the bathroom isn’t luxurious (it’s actually rather small), but we’re willing to look past that as the rest of the home is so charming. Outside, Frederiksberg is on the fancier side, so it’s especia...More Details

    Bouquet of Flowers

A flat roomy enough for ten people right in the city centre is pretty much unheard of, so imagine our surprise when we found this gem. With five stylish bedrooms and an amply-sized living area meant for socialising, there's enough space here for a big group to spread out and get comfortable. The kitchen isn't massive – we'd only recommend it for cooking breakfast and other light meals – but we liked the vanity area outside the bathrooms, where you can prep hair and makeup without hogging the loo. There are other touches, too – USB plugs by all the beds, an Apple TV in the living space for at-home movie nights and no single-use plastic. This building has the highest eco-certification (A15) and it's run on renewable energy, so it's as good for the environment as it is stylish. Best of all is the location – Strøget is just around the corner, with restaurants, shops, cafes and bars all right on your doorstep. You're only two minutes away fr...More Details

    Cloud Underground

If you end up staying in Cloud Underground, you’ll be getting some very fancy neighbours. Amalienborg Palace (the Danish queen’s home) is just down the road – and it’s actually also located along the Crown Prince’s preferred biking route, so don’t be scared if he whizzes past you. With its Scandinavian-meets-industrial vibe, it’s the kind of place you look forward to coming home to at the end of a long day of sightseeing. Oh, and did we forget to mention that it’s within walking distance to everyone’s favourite statue, The Little Mermaid? *This home sleeps five people, but one of them would ideally be a child (there’s a single bed in the master bedroom)*The kitchen is on the smaller side – ideal for preparing light meals/snacks, not ideal for cooking feasts*The French doors look beautiful and bring in a lot of light, but they don’t provide a lot of privacy in the bedrooms*There’s carpet in the kitchen, which isn’t practical – and it mi...More Details

    Sage Advice

A whirlwind of green hues, this snug home brings an instant smile to our faces. It's warm and comfortable, with a large dining table perfect for sharing family meals and a cosy sitting area where you can kick back and relax with a glass of wine and Netflix. A small collection of books and board games only add to the homey feel, as do the large windows which flood the lounge with natural light. One of the bedrooms is rather tiny and the bathroom isn't the biggest we've seen, but the brilliant location more than makes up for it. We love this area's historic charm and quiet streets, yet buzzing restaurants, cafes and shops are all a short stroll away. You're also within walking distance to many of Copenhagen's most beloved sights – Amalienborg Palace, Nyhavn, The Little Mermaid, Frederik's Church, you name it, chances are you can get to it easily. Best of all? The Danish queen lives just down the road, so if it's good enough for royalty, i...More Details

    Good Luck Charm

We love Good Luck Charm. A lovely home, it’s equipped with everything you need for a comfortable, hassle-free stay – we especially liked the sociable and practical kitchen. The beds are high-quality, which equals even sweeter dreams. This part of Frederiksberg is on the quieter side and you’re really close to Forum station too, so you can be in central Copenhagen in no time. The lakes are also close by, the perfect spot to go for a walk, a jog, or grab a cup of coffee in one of the charming cafes. *When we visited, the wifi was a bit slow.*Be prepared for some up and down – it’s on the first floor with no lift.*The kitchen lacks basic essentials, such as coffee capsules for the Nespresso machine, so you might want to bring your own. The Old Coal Crane

The word “wow” came up a few times when we visited this place… A former coal crane located in Nordhavnen (the old industrial harbour area), it’s an incredibly special place that offers an out-of-this-world experience. Set up for pampered living in exceptional surroundings, it consists of three levels of unique luxury. One with your living quarters – the bed is heavenly. Another with a huge meeting room and bathroom – the bathtubs have some of the best views we’ve ever come across. And two terraces – one for enjoying magnificent sunsets, the other tailor-made for sunrises. *The immediate area isn’t the livelist – it’s about a 30 minute metro ride to the centre of the city*The hotel-style kitchenette isn’t meant for cooking up a storm – there’s no oven or hob*Be prepared for a lot of up and down – it’s split across three floors with lots of stairs*The host doesn’t accept children unless they are over thirteen years old*The meeting room a...More Details

    Under The Sky

This colourful home in the Danish capital is a great place to share with your loved ones. The quirky top-floor apartment includes a collection of books and board games instead of a TV – encouraging you to enjoy a cosy evening reminiscent of the good ol’ days. Situated in a residential neighbourhood, the apartment offers some peace and quiet, while a ten-minute metro ride takes you right into the bustling city centre. Here you’ll find a large variety of places worth visiting such as Rosenborg Castle, Tivoli Gardens or the picturesque Nyhavn, as well as plenty of bars and eateries. *Parking in Copenhagen can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to the easily accessible public transport where possible. That said, we think the best way to see the city is on foot.\u2028*Avoid wearing heels inside the home, as they’ll easily leave marks in the soft pine wooden floorboards. A Baronial Touch

With a modern but cosy design, A Baronial Touch is a relaxing home in the busy heart of Copenhagen. The location is incredibly central – the Round Tower is right around the corner, and Strøget (Copenhagen’s main shopping street) is a few minutes’ walk away. We loved the bright, tiled bathroom and the smoked glass lamps in the communal areas. Though the seating capacity isn’t very generous – and the single bathroom could be a problem for bigger groups – this is certainly a comfortable place to come back to after a long day. *The apartment isn't very spacious, so it can feel cramped if you're using the sofa bed in the living room *There's only one bathroom, which could be a problem at full capacity*It's on the ground floor so some noise from the neighbours passing through is inevitable*As it's on the ground floor the natural light isn't optimal* This listing represents several apartments – we can't say which you'll get, but they are al...More Details

    The Gantzel Studio

Let’s start by saying something obvious from the outset – this Copenhagen penthouse is one of the most impressive apartments we’ve ever seen! Louise's eye for design, detail and hosting is extraordinary – she can even arrange for a private chef if that’s something you’re in the mood for. The home's interior is pure Scandinavian chic, with plenty of natural materials, sculptural light fittings and elegant furniture throughout. Through to the bedrooms and the neutral decor and blackout curtains making switching off at the end of the day an effortless experience. And if you thought that was the end of it, wait until you see the huge rooftop terrace – at over 2,500 sqft, it has to be one of the largest in the city. Its sheer size combined with views of the water, old Copenhagen, and the many modern buildings in Islands Brygge ensure that we can’t think of anywhere we’d rather be. And while it's true you won't be staying right in the heart o...More Details
