The private pool lets you cool off in summer, while the sauna is great for the colder months (or if you fancy unwinding after a day of exploring). It’s not just the uninterrupted sea view that drew us to this villa on Puglia’s Ionian coast – the lagoon-shaped pool and private spa with its Turkish bath certainly helped. Views of the azure Ionian Sea are certainly one of the highlights though, from shaded outdoor terraces, lawn chairs and from the big window by the dining table. Glass sliding doors open up the kitchen to the terrace, so shuttling salads outside for an evening’s barbecue is easy. Inside, the group can spread out between a main lounge and a second seating area by the kitchen, and those working remotely can hide away in the dedicated office room.
