Finding somewhere that can comfortably sleep eight (and ten, at a stretch) in the Jewish Quarter isn’t as straightforward as you might think. Finding somewhere that can comfortably sleep eight and has a view as good as Teatro’s is even harder. It looks down onto the Largo di Torre Argentina, which holds the ruins of four temples and Pompey’s Theatre. It’s a fantastic spot, and Teatro makes the most of it, with a simple design intended to not interfere. *Even though this in a restricted-traffic zone, it's very busy outside and you can expect some noise*The fake plants in the living room feel a bit unnecessary*While as many as ten people can stay here, there are only two bathrooms (as well as a separate toilet)*As is quite common in Italian homes, the washing machine is on a balcony outside*Two people can sleep on a sofa bed in the living room Air ConditioningBalconyBlack-Out BlindsBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCarbon Monoxide DetectorCentr...More Details

Tastefully decorated with a good balance of rustic features and modern furniture, this apartment offers a quietly impressive base in the heart of the eternal city. The living room mixes exposed brickwork and wooden ceiling beams with contemporary wooden flooring and a huge smart TV, while there's even a four-poster bed in one of the bedrooms for guests to argue over. If you don't win that squabble, don't worry — the other two both have ensuite bathrooms and wall-mounted TVs. The location offers the best of both worlds, too. It's not on the main tourist routes, so still retains an element of authentic Roman character. However, some of the city's must-see sights are within easily walkable distance, too. Castel Sant'Angelo is just a seven-minute walk away and the Pantheon only takes ten. *It's sometimes possible to hear noise from the streets*At full occupancy, the seventh and eighth guests will be on a sofa bed*The building has no parkin...More Details
With solid wood ceilings and a view of a charming inner courtyard, Clematis feels very Roman. Minimalist in style (with plenty of original features), it’s great for travellers looking for a comfortable base with a historic atmosphere. Even though it’s within walking distance to important monuments (Largo di Torre Argentina, Pantheon, Piazza Navona), the immediate streets are fairly calm with an overriding local feel. *Depending on the time, the check-in might take place in two stages – the first remote, and an in-person welcome the next morning*Nothing in the way of basic ingredients is provided*Guests 3 and 4 would be on a sofa bed in the living room*Aside from the TV, there aren’t that many entertainment options*This home is on the first floor with no lift – you’ll have to climb twenty-one steps to reach the front door*Guests sleeping on the sofa bed should be aware that there are no blinds in the living room to keep out the sunlight...More Details

Right between Piazza Navona and Campo de’ Fiori, Refosco is in a bustling location, but inside it’s peaceful. Rich colours and plants, along with lots of decoration, create the interior design equivalent of a hug. The layout means that it’s perhaps best suited to families, or at least people who are comfortable being in close proximity, but if that doesn’t pose a problem, then it’s got a lot going for it. *The layout of the flat is rather strange – you can see from the floor plan, but you have to go through the bedrooms to get to the bathroom*There's only one bathroom, and it doesn't have any windows*For longer stays, your hosts might ask you to help out by watering the plants*Even though there's a lift most of the way to the flat, there's still a short flight of stairs you'll have to take Air ConditioningBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCarbon Monoxide DetectorCentral HeatingChild FriendlyCoffee MakerCooking EssentialsCot / CribEspresso Ma...More Details

The vast window in Salici’s living room beautifully frames the Tiber, and the willows that line its banks. There’s also a balcony, allowing you to get even closer to the river. It shouldn’t be underestimated just how special a view like this is. The flat itself has a few years on it, clearly, but it’s been kept well in that time so it’s just like any other place that hasn’t specifically been designed to be rented out. There’s also a bit of noise from the road below, but that comes from being only a five-minute walk from the heart of the action. *The bedroom doesn't have a proper door*There's a good amount of traffic passing below so some noise reaches the flat*Two guests will be on sofa beds in the living room Air ConditioningBalconyBuzzer / Wireless IntercomDishwasherHair DryerIronIroning BoardKitchenLift AccessMicrowaveMultiple Sets of KeysTVWashing MachineWi-fi...More Details
