Positioned in the eighth quartiere of Rome, just an eight-minute walk from Tuscolano train station, this home provides a well-connected base with direct links to the airport and central station. Roman Pomes
Within walking distance of Villa Borghese and the Trevi Fountain, this apartment is ideal for sightseeing. You'll have central Rome at your fingertips here, whether you're looking for restaurants, landmarks, or high-end shops. Despite its small size, the layout is functional for friends and families. The kitchen is compact but has everything you'll need to whip up light fare – although we think it's a great excuse to try the local eateries – and the bedrooms are bright if a little snug. We think it makes a convenient, fuss-free base for those keen to spend most of their time exploring the city. *Though there's enough bed space for seven people here, we think it might feel a little cramped. We'd recommend a maximum guest count of four if you'd like ample room to socialise.*The kitchen is compact but well-equipped to rustle up lighter bites. However, there are only four chairs around the dining table.*If you're travelling with little one...More Details

Much like its sister apartment in the same building, Green Jay has an air of nobility that surrounds it. Antique furniture, dark wooden windows, and tiled floors all combine to encapsulate the feeling of elegance, a feeling which is common in Flaminio. This isn’t the place to stay if you want to be in the very middle of the action, but you get a sense of calm and a detachment from the tourist crowds, which is more than worth the extra journey time. *The kitchen was generally well-equipped but it was missing a few smaller appliances like a toaster or an espresso machine*Three people can sleep on sofa beds in the communal areas of the flat*The building has a porter but only during working hours Air ConditioningBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCentral HeatingChild FriendlyCoffee MakerCooking EssentialsCot / CribDishwasherDryerElectricity AdaptorsFire ExtinguisherFirst Aid KitFreezerFridgeHair DryerHangersHigh ChairIronKitchenKitchen UtensilsLap...More Details

    Terracotta Haven
Set among two acres of olive groves and ancient trees, this country home allows for relaxation and tranquillity whilst still being well-connected to Rome, Tivoli and more. Spend the day in Italy’s capital, stopping at galleries, sitting at a cafe for a coffee, and admiring the architecture as you take one cobbled street after another. When you return home after a pizza-making class, you can put your newfound skills to the test in the shared outdoor oven – enjoy your creations al fresco at the table. Share cheesy slices around the table as you recap the day with a glass of wine. For home days, we recommend long walks through the garden, breathing in the fresh country air before returning to the rustic kitchen to make a cup of coffee. Read curled up on the sofa or sketch at the dining table – Italy can be inspirational – and spend afternoons sitting at the shared outdoor table with a refreshing drink. *For those with reduced mobility, thi...More Details

    Keeping Time
With unparalleled views of Piazza Venezia and Capitoline Hill, this penthouse has four terraces and decadent decor. We think it's great for romantic getaways, and if you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a free cot. At full capacity, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the studio – this has its own en-suite like the other bedrooms, giving everyone the same level of privacy. The large terrace has plenty of space to enjoy the surrounding views and dine alfresco. You might hear some outside noise due to the central location, but this home makes exploring a breeze. You'll find several of Rome's famous landmarks easily reachable on foot, including the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. *Not all bathrooms are photographed, but we expect consistency in style and quality throughout this home.*Parking in Rome can be tricky, so we recommend sticking to easily accessible public transport where possible.*Your host can provide a ...More Details

  • Wide Awake
Showcasing traditional Roman character, in contrast with contemporary design and furnishings – this home is packed with both personality and practicality. Set in a historic building of the '800s, the apartment's restored windows and doors alongside an exposed brick wall set the scene for a charming stay in Rome. Besides the original features, we'd describe the interiors as urban-chic, with most of the furniture and finishings made from eco-friendly, locally sourced materials. Think precious natural stone, quality wooden flooring and authentic tiles. We particularly love the luxurious curtains and rugs that add warmth and create a cosy ambience, while vintage chandeliers, lamps and other accessories offer bags of charm. With stunning park views from every room, start the day with nature as the daily songbird will be your wake up call. Nestled just a four-minute stroll away from the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, this peaceful spot pro...More Details

Tempus has pretty much everything going for it. Not only is it in the very centre of Monti (on a backstreet though, so it’s pretty quiet), but the design shows off a lovely mix of original brick archways and modern, almost industrial touches. The enormous kitchen island is a dream, and we haven’t come across many more inviting bathrooms than the little grotto here. It’s very bright, thanks to the plate glass windows, but these also bring about the only flaw we could find – you’re definitely in a bit of a fishbowl. *There are floor-to-ceiling windows that look out directly onto the street at ground level*The entire flat's very open and there's no privacy between bedrooms*Two guests will be sleeping in the sofa bed in the living room Air ConditioningBathtubBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCarbon Monoxide DetectorCentral HeatingChild FriendlyCoffee MakerCooking EssentialsDishwasherElectricity AdaptorsExtra Pillows and BlanketsFire ExtinguisherF...More Details

    Roman Glory
This charming apartment is a superb base for those seeking a peaceful stay in Rome. It’s slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of the touristy hotspots but is close to the Vatican, tucked away on a quiet street. It’s easy to explore the rest of Rome using public transport – Cipro metro station is a short walk away. You’ll have a balcony to sip your morning coffee on and a practical kitchen for dining at home. At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the open-plan living and dining space, so if you’re hoping for more privacy we’d stick to a maximum guest count of four. *Parking in Rome can be tricky so we recommend sticking to the easily accessible public transport system – Cipro metro station is a short walk away. *At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living space. The Colosuite
This stylish apartment sits right in the heart of Rome, less than a five-minute walk from the Colosseum. The host loves local art and this passion can be seen throughout the home. The furniture has been made by Italian craft companies and unique art pieces adorn the walls, including a number of different frescoes — the one in the place of a window in the living room is a reproduction of a similar piece found in the Villa of Livia. We love the bold wallpaper prints in the bedroom too, creating an artsy yet cosy spot to unwind in the evening. This is just one of the nods to Rome’s ancient history, alongside the framed plaster casts hanging on the walls. The windows look out onto an internal courtyard, which lends a peaceful air of seclusion to the living space. There's even a small closed balcony with hanging plants if you want a breath of fresh air with your morning coffee. Aside from the aforementioned amphitheatre, this address is also...More Details

This stunning estate is located in Campagnano just northwest of Rome, a region known for its idyllic rolling countryside where historically Romans would sojourn when escaping the heat of the city. Today, you’ll find this villa offers you the same chance to experience the best of both rural Italy and the magic of the Eternal City. Here, you’ll enjoy the perfect mix of indoor and outdoor living, delicately balanced between the home’s modern yet warm décor and extensive manicured garden. Autumn Fields
Set in a stellar location less than 100m from the Tiber, Autumn Fields is a modern and comfortable apartment that makes a good addition to our collection. It’s interior is simply designed, and while it might not blow you away, there are some stylish touches like the tempered glass staircase. Mirror Sand
Fendi are one of the great design families in the world, so you can imagine how excited we were to test Mirror Sand. It’s inside the new Alda Fendi Foundation, designed by the superstar architect Jean Nouvel, and right next to the Roman Forums. It works similarly to a hotel, the apartment is geared towards the independence that you get with a proper living room and kitchen. We also liked the ridiculously deep bathtub – it’s a wonderful place to relax after a day in the bustle of Rome. You’ll never want to get out. *If you want a style that's classically Roman, the industrial touches might be a bit much*As this is a serviced apartment, if you're after the feeling of a lived-in home, you won't find it here*Your host owns multiple apartments within this building, so the exact view, furnishings and layout might differ from the photos, but the size and standard will be the same*Only the most basic ingredients are provided Air ConditioningB...More Details

A standout highlight of this charming studio, formerly the penthouse of the 1920's villa, has to be the large and sunny terrace (with a view to boot). It's a rare find in the busy metropolis that is Rome. There are sun loungers for taking in a few early morning rays, and a dining table that’s perfect for coming together with some nibbles and aperitifs as the sun drops over the rooftops of Monteverde Vecchio’s leafy residential streets. Stepping inside, you’ll find a bright and airy space thanks to the high ceilings reaching up into the eaves. And whilst this is studio living, it’s wonderfully well-kept, with everything you need in the compact, cleverly designed separate kitchen. Not that you’ll be doing much cooking with so many authentic Italian coffee shops and restaurants on your doorstep. And when the ancient ruins and vibrant street life of downtown Rome finally lure you, do like the locals and hop on the tram located just a five m...More Details

The apartment is elegant and attractive, and comes equipped with everything you might need for a sophisticated city break. If you can tear yourself away from the terrace, you’ll find yourself a twenty-minute walk from Rome’s most famous sights, including Vatican City and the Spanish Steps. Lazio might not get the plaudits of Tuscany or Umbria, but it's still a beautiful region of Italy – just look at the hilltop views from this home's excellent outdoor space, which offers both a dining terrace and swimming pool to keep visitors happy during the warmer months. The home itself used to be a stable and while there's none of the period charm you often find with restored buildings, we think that it's a solid – if slightly unremarkable – place to rest your head for a week or two. *There are three bedrooms in the main house and an additional bedroom and ensuite bathroom in a separate annexe*Both buildings are spread across a single storey*Your host can provide a cot and high chair for free upon request*The swimming pool is only available for use between the last Saturday in April and the first Saturday in October*There's ample space to park on the home's driveway*Though there isn't a dedicated desk here, the dining table doubles...More Details

This retro-chic apartment of offers a slightly different experience from many of our other homes in Rome. Rather than the bustle of the tourist centre, you’ll be in the leafy, twentieth-century streets of Monteverde Vecchio where traditional pasta restaurants and pubs serving artisan beer sit alongside weekly markets and antique shops. It’s a fitting locale for this historic apartment, as the host’s family have lived here since 1927, and some of the elegant furnishings, portraits, and other artworks decking the apartment’s walls go back further still. We love the antique camera that creates a memorable welcome, as well as the blue kitchen that provides the main sociable hub here. Gather together for breakfasts of fresh coffee and locally bought pastries at the table, or better yet, step put onto the private terrace for a sunny start to the day. This is also the ideal spot to treat yourself to a glass of Italian red before sampling the ...More Details

    Golden Lion
Sitting on the right-hand side of the Tiber, the neighbourhood of Trastevere is an inimitable mix of history and character, much like this apartment. The building in which it sits dates back to the 14th century, although you wouldn't be able to guess that age from the fresh design of the interior. In the main living space, a colour palette of neutrals makes the room feel bright and inviting, while there are brighter tones in the bedrooms that lend a sense of personality. When it comes to dinners, guests are treated to two kitchen spaces — a wooden-panelled room that doubles up as a dining area and an adjoining room with an induction cooker. If rather than cooking, however, you fancy familiarising yourself with Roman cuisine, there's a huge choice of restaurants in the surrounding area. The city's famous attractions are not too far away, either — the Pantheon takes just over a quarter of an hour on foot to reach, while the Colosseum takes ...More Details

    Il Cherubino
It’s quite difficult to turn any corner in central Rome without running into a wonderfully historical landmark, ornate statue, or striking architecture. And the location of this fabulous apartment is no exception. Just six minutes from the Spanish Steps, five from Villa Borghese, and only two from the Piazza del Popolo, you’ll have no trouble seeing the sights. But the traditional Italian sights continue inside. Your bright living space features large French windows which illuminate rich, hardwood floors, chunky timber ceilings, and some captivating artworks. You’ll love relaxing on the plush sofa with a glass of primitivo in hand as the cherubs look upon you from the walls. Antique-style furniture and an ornate mirror complete this old-world Italian look, which continues through to the bedroom. We love the full wood-panelled wall, where the door to the ensuite is almost camouflaged within this rich wooden feature. After you’ve explored...More Details

    Via Babuino Romance
A sumptuous stay awaits at this penthouse apartment moments from the Spanish Steps. Shops, restaurants, and many of Rome's most famous landmarks are on your doorstep, but the home itself is even better than the location. You'll make a beeline for the panoramic roof terrace, where you can enjoy an Aperol Spritz as the sun sets. We love the mix of contemporary comforts and traditional features inside, though it's worth noting that there's a fee to accommodate the fifth guest. But with a Peloton bike for morning workouts, a study for remote working, and a chic living area ideal for socialising, this is the definition of a Roman holiday. *If you're travelling with little ones, your host may be able to arrange a cot and high chair on request.*The Peloton bike is only available to those who already have one – let your host know in advance if you'd like to use it.*The second bedroom is a little snug. The bed is pushed against the wall, making...More Details

History emanates from the walls of this cosy little home in Navona. The structure itself has been well preserved and looked after, with its crossbeam ceiling and wooden doors retaining their rustic charm. Recently renovated, you'll find all the usual mod-cons needed for a comfortable stay too, with a light-filled double bedroom and swanky en-suite bathroom that features a luxurious rainfall shower. While the compact kitchen is better suited for preparing light bites and breakfast, the coffee making station in the living space more than makes up for it. Through to the bedroom, you'll notice the lime green colour scheme, abstract wall art and an antique study area for those keeping one eye on work during their stay. Outside, there's a real authentic feel to the surrounding area that we really love. Hidden down a beautifully atmospheric backstreet, this home's local neighbourhood will make you feel as if you've stepped back into sixteenth ...More Details
