Although In Motion seems like a simple home at first glance, it hides a lot of interesting details. It feels as if the rooms were designed with the guest in mind, so aside from the minimalist essentials, you're left with a lot of space to move around, which helps maximise the natural light as well. But there's another side to this home – the perfectly harmonised colours and the well-curated art prove that it's been designed with care and subtlety. Located next to a tram stop on the ancient Via Flaminia, you'll have easy access to the centre. * There is no coffee machine in this home* There is no elevator to this third-floor home – those with limited mobility or heavy suitcases beware* Four guests can sleep in this home, but the last two will need to settle for the sofa bed in the living room* The bedroom has no natural light unfortunately Air ConditioningBoard GamesBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCarbon Monoxide DetectorCentral HeatingChild...More Details

Step out of your building’s front door to be immediately greeted by the Colosseum at the end of the road. It’s an unrivalled location and despite neighbouring a global landmark, the quieter street retains a local charm. Inside, the apartment is wonderfully maintained with thoughtful design. The original character of the property shines – timber beams have been lovingly restored and counterpoint some of the more modern touches. We particularly liked the textured wallpaper above the bed and the matching set of Smeg kitchen appliances. After sipping an espresso and watching the daybreak over the Colosseum from your window, hit the pavements and get a closer look at Rome’s headline acts. The Roman Forum, Arch of Titus and the Via Sacra are all within a ten-minute walk. Plus, museums, piazzas and the iconic Pantheon are a seventeen-minute bus trip or ten-minute taxi ride away. *Child-friendly amenities such as a cot and high chair are avai...More Details

With a combination of old-fashioned furniture and modern flourishes, Silk Road manages to retain an understanding of Rome’s history without getting bogged down in recreating the past. It’s not a simple balancing act, and for the most part, Silk Road pulls it off. And, as should go without saying, having the Pantheon about 100m away is not to be sniffed at (as long as you can handle the tourists that accompany it). *Given how close the Pantheon is, there's a lot of movement outside at all hours, as well as the noise you'd expect*The windows in the second bedroom are high up and hard to open*A lot of the flat gets quite dark if you rely on natural light*The bathroom is a lot more simple than the rest of the flat, and the shower's only 190cm high*As there are a lot of antiques, Alex would prefer not to have children staying Air ConditioningBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCentral HeatingElectricity AdaptorsFanHair DryerHome Cinema SetupIronKitc...More Details

Despite its position in an old, atmospheric square near Campo de’ Fiori, Falconry has been renovated recently, and most of the furniture has been made to measure, making the whole place feel very well crafted. Everything fits together, from the parquet floor to the various lamps, and even the terrace is taken care of, and not an afterthought. High up among the rooftops, it feels like a little refuge from the hectic city below. *The lift only goes up to the sixth floor, so you'll have to climb the stairs for the last stretch*Two people can sleep on a sofa bed in the living room*The bedroom is on the small side Air ConditioningBalconyBlack-Out BlindsBlenderCarbon Monoxide DetectorCentral HeatingCleaning ProductsCoffee MakerCooking EssentialsDishwasherDrying RackExtra Pillows and BlanketsFire ExtinguisherFirst Aid KitFreezerFridgeHair DryerHangersIronIroning BoardKettleKitchenKitchen UtensilsLaptop Friendly WorkspaceLibrary of BooksLift ...More Details
Unpretentious and reassuring, Shoreline is comfortable, and the kind of place where things work without any fuss. It’s on the lower ground floor, so views are out of the question, but while it’s not overly bright, it’s not really any different to any number of the old flats in narrow streets closer to the centre of the city. However, as it’s in Monteverde, the streets are wide and lined with trees, the traffic much calmer, and the tourists far away. *The flat's on the lower ground floor, so it doesn't get much natural light, and there's no lift to get down to it*The second bedroom is more of a study with a single sofa bed in it – we marked it as a bedroom to show it wasn't in the living room, but it's worth being aware of*There's another sofa bed in the living room that two people can sleep on*Eugenia would only like to rent this flat out for periods of two weeks or longer Air ConditioningBaby BathBlack-Out BlindsBuzzer / Wireless Int...More Details
A high-quality offering in every sense, this home is in one of the most enchanting parts of Rome, along the River Tiber. Many of the must-see Roman sights are in walking distance, such as the Pantheon, just a fifteen-minute stroll away. The Colosseum and Trevi Fountain are under a thirty-minute saunter, while Piazza Navona, one of the most beautiful squares in Rome, is a mere ten-minute wander. For a night out, the bohemian area of Trastevere with its hip trattorias and craft beer pubs, is a quarter of an hour away on foot. It’s certainly not all about the location though, this apartment has some fantastic features. The possibility of a DIY spa day, with the whirlpool bath and the sauna is particularly exciting – perfect after a day of walking around the city’s sights, so pour a glass of prosecco and relax in luxury. We adore the love and care that has been lavished on this apartment by your host, Antonio, from the French barbed oak flo...More Details

Yantra is so close to the Vatican that we recommend you carry your passport with you whenever you go out – you never know when you'll be tempted back to Musei Vaticani for some exquisite art or to the Sistine Chapel for another look around Michelangelo's frescoed masterpiece. A stroll through the immediate neighbourhood of Prati will bring you back to the present day in stylish fashion with its hidden wine bars, upscale boutiques and trendy art nouveau decorated streets. Upon your return, you'll find a cosy interior with antique objects and a sense of yesteryear charm. While the rustic adornments add interest, we love the quirky wallpaper prints in each bedroom as much as we do the Roman simplicity of this cosy home. There are all the usual mod cons needed for a comfortable stay too, so if you're looking for an authentic experience in an enviable location, then this stripped-back pad is a great option. *At capacity, two people will be ...More Details

An apartment in the palace of one of Rome’s greatest aristocratic families – even if we set aside the location – it’s a special place. Four floors stacked on top of each other form the backbone of the flat. The bedrooms are all beautiful, done up to modern standards, but without losing their sense of history or many of their original features. There’s a balcony and a terrace, along with panoramic views from the shower that crowns the flat. It’s a stroke of genius, one of many that elevate this apartment above the rest. Once you've had your morning shower looking out over Rome's rooftops, it's time to hit the streets. The apartment is neatly sandwiched between the stunning baroque beauty of Piazza Navona and the bustling Campo de' Fiori market – with both within a couple of minutes' walk – and close to a host of other Roman sights. Cross over Ponte Garibaldi, and you'll find yourself in trendy Trastevere in a little over ten minutes, whi...More Details
