This newly renovated home is just a two-minute stroll from Campo dei Fiori, with its daily market and array of cafes, bars and restaurants. St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City is under twenty minutes on foot. It's a few minutes more to the Trevi Fountain, and the Colosseum and Imperial Forum are about a thirty-minute walk or fifteen-minute ride. How's that for a Roman getaway?Take some fresh produce back to this apartment and rustle up a carbonara and salad to enjoy at your dining table. After dinner, have a seat on the comfy chaise sofa and enjoy a glass of wine. This home is decorated in neutral mushroom hues, and the vases of flowers dotted around give the place a lovely homely feel – and we love the French doors, which allow light to flood in. This abode is perfect for a couple or friends looking to be within easy reach of many of the Eternal City’s attractions. *Two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living room – it ma...More Details
An Emperor's View
Tempus has pretty much everything going for it. Not only is it in the very centre of Monti (on a backstreet though, so it’s pretty quiet), but the design shows off a lovely mix of original brick archways and modern, almost industrial touches. The enormous kitchen island is a dream, and we haven’t come across many more inviting bathrooms than the little grotto here. It’s very bright, thanks to the plate glass windows, but these also bring about the only flaw we could find – you’re definitely in a bit of a fishbowl. *There are floor-to-ceiling windows that look out directly onto the street at ground level*The entire flat's very open and there's no privacy between bedrooms*Two guests will be sleeping in the sofa bed in the living room Air ConditioningBathtubBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCarbon Monoxide DetectorCentral HeatingChild FriendlyCoffee MakerCooking EssentialsDishwasherElectricity AdaptorsExtra Pillows and BlanketsFire ExtinguisherF...More Details

Outdoor space is a rarity in this historic city, but this charming home has no fewer than three terraces to choose from. Right next to the Tiber, just a fifteen-minute walk from most of the city's big attractions, you'll have incredible, 360º views – and the sunset over the Vatican is something really special. The interior is colourful and comfortable, and while it's stylish, it's easy to feel at home. It’s split over two levels at the top of a traditional building but there's a lift to take you up to your front door. All the terraces are excellent (and one is just off the kitchen so perfect for meals outdoors) but the show is well and truly stolen by the rooftop terrace. Climb the steps for one of the best views in this part of the city – it's even head and shoulders above a nearby rooftop bar. Out and about you'll find plenty of great places to eat and drink on your doorstep, and all of central Rome is easily walkable. *Although the...More Details

Among streets peppered with restaurants and book shops on one corner, and ancient ruins on the next, Rome’s Castro Pretorio district is a melting pot of history and culture. You can find basilicas, palazzos, and even the Teatro dell'Opera all less than 600 metres from your front door on the famed Via Cavour. Just like its locale, your apartment is full of original character and style.Set on the first floor of a traditional block, the views from the French windows and private balcony offer a fantastic display of the local lifestyle. You can spot the honey and pink tones of nearby Italian architecture, as mopeds whizz by on the streets and people chat at kerbside cafés (all while you sip prosecco on the outdoor seating). If you can tear yourself away from these eye-catching city scenes, take a stroll through the home to explore. The original tiled floors are reminiscent of a Roman bath house, with ornate mosaic patterns throughout the loun...More Details
On the Mount
Despite a small footprint, Saguaro makes great use of the space it has. The mezzanine creates a feeling of openness while the colours brighten the place. We also really liked Iacopo, who we found really patient and helpful (even for a Plum host). The area is an interesting one, and depending on your point of view, could be considered a downside, as it’s a bit out of many of the main tourist hotspots. It is, however, an opportunity to experience Rome as a Roman would, free from the crowds and vendors. *Even though the apartment's on the ground floor, you have to go up and down some steps to reach the front door*The shower doesn't have a door, just a curtain*Guests 3 and 4 will be on a sofa bed in the living room Air ConditioningBicyclesBoard GamesBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCarbon Monoxide DetectorCentral HeatingCoffee MakerCooking EssentialsCot / CribDishwasherEspresso MachineExtra Pillows and BlanketsFire ExtinguisherFirst Aid KitFree ...More Details

Situated in Monteverde, this apartment boasts a charming rooftop terrace with plenty of space for you to relax and enjoy alfresco meals. From here, it's a short walk or bus ride to the quirky Trastevere district, with a great selection of pubs, eateries and shops, plus a well-connected Metro station. The home itself is perfectly practical for two or three guests – though the third person will be sleeping on a sofa bed. It's also worth noting that this home is located on the third floor without a lift, so we recommend it for those who can easily manage stairs. *At full occupancy, one person will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living area. *This home is on the third floor without a lift, so it might not be suitable for people who struggle with stairs. *This home is best suited for those who don't mind hopping on public transport to reach the city centre. *This host doesn't accept bookings from groups of young people.
