Il Tempio is a lovely, light-flooded apartment in Rome's Jewish Quarter, a super central location that's within easy walking distance to vibrant Trastevere and almost all the key sights in the historical centre. The home is located in an old building which gives it its lofty proportions, but the interiors are distinctly modern and stylish - we love the light fittings and the mid-century modern furniture. * The lift starts on the first floor, so there is a flight of stairs to climb to access it* This home has air conditioning in the master bedroom and sitting room only* There is only one proper bedroom so guests 3 \u0026 4 will be on a sofa bed in the living room Air ConditioningBalconyBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCentral HeatingDishwasherElectricity AdaptorsFreezerFridgeHair DryerIronIroning BoardLift AccessLuxury BeddingLuxury ToiletriesMultiple Sets of KeysNetflixRain ShowerTVWashing MachineWelcome HamperWi-fi...More Details

    Botanical Dreams

Rome is a great city for spotting frescoes, but these mainly date back hundreds — if not thousands — of years. This apartment in the San Saba neighbourhood of the city shows that the tradition is far from long-dead. In the living room and many of the bedrooms, a modern variation on the wall paintings can be seen, adding colour and a sense of grandiosity to the interior.Elsewhere, the design is wonderfully contemporary, particularly the curvy white dining chairs, sleek burgundy kitchen and equally pristine bathrooms. Another standout feature has to be the large private terrace, which has plenty of seating on which to enjoy the peace and quiet of this residential neighbourhood. When you're in the mood for sightseeing, possibly the most famous fresco in the world — Michaelangelo's ceiling in the Sistine Chapel — takes just under twenty minutes to reach by taxi, but there are other notable attractions a bit closer, too. The Baths of Caracall...More Details

    Il Legname

Since 1869, the Campo de' Fiori has been a hub of market trading for fresh fruit, vegetables, and flowers. And by evening, this charming square becomes a hub of alfresco dining spots and wine bars. With that in mind, this studio apartment is pretty convenient, at less than a minute away. But if you want to keep busy rather than relaxing with a glass of chianti, you’ll find palaces, museums, and statues all around – such as the Museo di Scultura Antica Giovanni Barracco, two minutes away. However, we feel that this home is somewhat of a landmark itself. As you step inside, you can help but be taken aback by the striking timber ceiling. These thick, rustic beams ooze old-world Italy, transporting you back in time. But with modern twists from minimalist furniture and quirky artworks, there’s an elegant clash of eras which makes this studio feel unique. We love the luxe touches like the marble kitchen sink and bathroom, although your host c...More Details

    Pan's Place

Deep within the narrow, medieval streets of Rome, this period building hides a surprisingly modern apartment for up to five guests. It's not a huge space but it's been cleverly configured to make the most of what it has – and to make it feel comfortable and high-end at the same time. Decorated in on-trend whites, creams and greys, it's bright and fresh. The kitchenette is stowed away in a cupboard-like space in the living room and while it's perfect for the basics, it's not going to appeal to keen home cooks – but this is Rome, and some of the best restaurants, cafes and bars in the world are right on your doorstep. Our favourite feature of this home is the view onto the charming Piazza dei Satiri outside. And while we're talking location, the famous Campo de’ Fiori market is just around the corner. *The building doesn't have a lift, so you'll have to climb the stairs*The second bedroom has a pull-down bed and may be used as a small be...More Details

    The Starling's Nest

Tranquillity awaits at this whimsical Italian apartment, which you’ll find tucked away down a quiet backstreet in Monti, one of Rome’s most eclectic neighbourhoods. Featuring high ceilings and immaculate wooden floors, this is the perfect place to unwind after a day of work or play in Italy's Eternal City. We particularly love the open-plan living area here and could see ourselves spending hours around the dining table, enjoying a bowl of fresh pasta alfredo and sharing a bottle of dry Frascati wine with our fellow guests. And when night falls, what better place to drift off than the secluded master bedroom, which comes with its very own ensuite bathroom, ideal if you’re after a bit of extra privacy. The interior’s not the only thing worth writing home about here though. With the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum and the Basilica of Saint Mary Major all within easy walking distance, this place is perfectly situated for exploring the city. ...More Details

    Monti Bella

We understand location is everything when visiting a city like Rome, and this spot in Monti is within easy walking distance of The Colosseum and the Roman Forum. While Rome is best explored on foot, you’ll also find Cavour metro station a few steps away. The apartment is minimal and a little dated in style, but perfectly practical for a city break, and while the click-clack style sofa bed accommodates a third and fourth guest, it might not suit those staying for longer than a couple of nights. Since the kitchen is better for light bites, we think you'll enjoy making the most of the culinary hotspots nearby. *At full occupancy, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living room. It's on the smaller side, so we think it's best for children.*This home is located within an apartment building. Expect to bump into other guests during your stay. *You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better suited ...More Details

    Lady Gouldian

With its exposed beam ceilings, wood floors and large windows, this colourful home just outside the Vatican seamlessly blends rustic charm with modern comforts. The living room is a laid-back affair with large plump sofas to lounge on while reading a book from the open shelves or admiring the eye-catching art that pops in rainbow hues against the white walls. We love the bright dining area where a glass table sits beneath the chandelier, and the open kitchen that makes socialising a breeze. The bedroom here is simple yet elegant, with an en suite boasting a rainfall shower with views of the courtyard and a bathtub with chromotherapy lights to ramp up your soak's serenity. With St. Peter’s Square just a five-minute walk away, you’ve got culture and history right on your doorstep. That said, with your host able to arrange at-home massages, private chefs, restaurant reservations and tickets to the city’s top events, your home gives you a s...More Details

    The Gates Of Rome

This is a special home, found just outside of Rome within the picturesque Marcigliana Nature Reserve. This renovated home was a fortified village in medieval times. Its location on a hill meant then that it was safe from invaders – now it means there are incredible views of the nature reserve on one side and the rich Roman countryside on the other. Best of all, it’s only a ten-minute walk from the train station, so you can pop in and out of Rome whenever you like. The property is set within a private park, so oak, olive and pine trees surround the home – strolling through the grounds is a peaceful way to start the day. You might then like to swim in the pool, again taking in the views, and soaking up the tranquil atmosphere – it’s hard to believe you’re so close to Rome. Stroll into town for lunch at the local pizzeria, and take your time – things move a little more slowly here. When you want to speed things up, head into Rome. The trai...More Details

    Ambrosia View

Often, location is the most important consideration when choosing a home, and Ambrosia View has that down. At the end of the street (a gorgeous, cobbled alleyway), you have the Tiber, while Piazza Navona isn’t far in the other direction. The flat itself is small, but there’s no shortage of restaurants and wine bars in the area, so there’s plenty to do if you feel like getting outside. *While there is a double sofa bed, we wouldn't recommend it as it's in the same room as the main bed*This is a studio so space is at a premium*You'll have to take the stairs to the second floor as there's no lift*There's no oven or dishwasher*The only windows are on one side of the room, so it can get dark at the back Air ConditioningBreakfast IncludedBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCarbon Monoxide DetectorCentral HeatingChild FriendlyCot / CribDryerElectricity AdaptorsFanFire ExtinguisherFirst Aid KitFree Parking On PremisesHair DryerHangersHigh ChairIronKitc...More Details

Much like its sister apartment in the same building, Green Jay has an air of nobility that surrounds it. Antique furniture, dark wooden windows, and tiled floors all combine to encapsulate the feeling of elegance, a feeling which is common in Flaminio. This isn’t the place to stay if you want to be in the very middle of the action, but you get a sense of calm and a detachment from the tourist crowds, which is more than worth the extra journey time. *The kitchen was generally well-equipped but it was missing a few smaller appliances like a toaster or an espresso machine*Three people can sleep on sofa beds in the communal areas of the flat*The building has a porter but only during working hours Air ConditioningBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCentral HeatingChild FriendlyCoffee MakerCooking EssentialsCot / CribDishwasherDryerElectricity AdaptorsFire ExtinguisherFirst Aid KitFreezerFridgeHair DryerHangersHigh ChairIronKitchenKitchen UtensilsLap...More Details

    Song for a Daydream

Located in Rome’s elegant Parioli neighbourhood – a maze of tree-lined avenues, elegant palaces and lush parks – this modern apartment is just the ticket for those seeking a calm and quiet base with plenty of style.Step into the large open-plan living room where contemporary decor and shades of black and white create an instantly zen-like welcome. We love the huge sectional sofa that beckons hours of lounging with a good book and a glass of wine and the dining table that’s ready to host intimate Italian soirées. Our favourite feature, however, is the private leafy garden with its terracotta tiles, sun lounger and table – the ideal spot to catch some rays over an alfresco breakfast or to enjoy a sundowner before discovering your neighbourhood’s local trattorias. With a peaceful, comfortable bedroom to boot as well as a sleek bathroom boasting a luxurious rainfall shower, you’re all set for a carefree time. When you decide to venture out ...More Details

    Intersection

Discover hidden Rome with this stylish apartment in vibrant Trastevere. It’s just over a five-minute stroll to a wide variety of eateries, while history lovers can visit Piazza di Santa Maria with its 12th-century basilica. If you want to check out some of Rome’s main attractions, the Trevi Fountain and Colosseum are around a half an hour walk or fifteen-minute ride away. Back at this stylish home, there’s traditional character aplenty with its stunning brickwork ceilings, tiled floors and a magnificent chandelier, which combine wonderfully with modern architectural features such as the bespoke metal screen. Enjoy some local Italian produce of bread, cheeses and prosciutto at the dining table or relax in the jacuzzi with its chromotherapy – it’s perfect for soothing any aches after all that sightseeing. *The master bedroom is open to the living room, with only a metal screen separating it*The stairs to the master bedroom are quite stee...More Details

    Urban Duet

If you're a group heading to Rome, or perhaps two families travelling together, this home offers a colourful, arty alternative to run-of-the-mill apartments. With their own entrance accessed through an outer gate and a small outside space where you can sip coffee in the morning, they've been recently renovated with artistic flair. The one-bedroom apartment sleeps up to four, thanks to a sofa bed in the lounge, and this one is mainly decked out in red and black. High ceilings and a brick-effect wall make for a bright, fun place to put your feet up at the end of the day, and we particularly love the neon sign and touches of Americana. Meanwhile, the other apartment is an ode to monochrome, with modern, designer furniture and a minimalist feel. Both have open-plan living spaces with dining tables and fully-equipped kitchens, and both have sleek, stylish bathrooms.Just a short stroll from the nearest Metro station, it's just a couple of sto...More Details

    Centurion Honey

You can tell fairly early on that a lot of thought has gone into the decorating of Centurion Honey. It’s comfortable, with most of the amenities and appliances you could need, and the sofa bed doesn’t feel like a compromise, which is something of a rarity in Rome. The interiors are simple, but the calming tones give a sense of serenity that contrasts with the bustle of the Monti streets below – a welcome respite. *Two people can sleep on the sofa bed in the living room – some guests find it quite firm, but it's in good condition*The dining chairs are classic Kartell models, but some guests find them a bit on the hard side*As there's a hot water tank, it's possible that several long showers in a row will use up all the hot water*There's no window in the kitchen*City taxes are not included in the price of the stay and will be collected in person upon check-in Air ConditioningBalconyBathtubBlack-Out BlindsBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCentr...More Details

    The Roman Gateway

In Rome's world-famous Campo de Fiori, this lovely apartment is ideal for a family getaway. The single beds are small and one is a mattress on a mezzanine level, so it might not be suitable for little ones. However, we think it's a good choice if you're travelling with older children. The kitchen is a little dated but well-equipped for family dinners, and the central location is fantastic and convenient. You'll be in the heart of everything with easy access to public transport, supermarkets, and an exceptional range of restaurants and cafes. *Not all bedrooms here have air conditioning. In the third bedroom, one of the single beds is just a mattress on a small mezzanine level accessed via a ladder. This may not be suitable for very young guests or older guests. We think the size of these beds makes them best suited to children. *This home is in an apartment building, so there is a chance you may hear some outside noise. *One of the be...More Details

    Wild Strawberries

You’ll find the charming town of Nemi surrounded by the rolling Alban Hills, an hour’s drive from Rome. And your traditional yet modern abode is smack bang in the centre, a minute’s walk from family-run restaurants and a fifteen-minute drive from the tranquil Nemi Lake. Begin your mornings with an invigorating waterside walk before picking up a punnet of the area’s famous wild strawberries to accompany breakfast back at your pad. When you’re ready to take relaxation to the next level, unwind in your private sauna and enjoy an at-home massage arranged by your fantastic host. At the end of another idyllic day, watch as dusk falls across the landscape from your cosy kitchen until it’s time to retreat to the quiet, comfy bedrooms for a blissful night’s sleep. *There's no parking at this home, but on-street parking is available*This is a compact apartment with no living area and a very basic kitchen*A light breakfast is included with your s...More Details

    The Roman Vision

Steeped in over a hundred years of history but looking modern enough to have stepped out of a design catalogue, this home combines old and new to create a comfortable space for families. The back garden has seating for everything from alfresco meals to reading in the egg chairs. Though it's a little further from the sights – walk to the Colosseum in fifty minutes or take public transport in less time – the distance makes it more peaceful. Still, you can get to all of Rome's best bits. But be aware that if you're walking, the hill back up to the house might not be kind to tired legs. *At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living area.*It's worth noting that the mattresses here are on the firmer side, so not everyone will find them comfortable.*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.*There are stairs to climb here.*...More Details

    Flavian's Terrace

This cute little apartment sits on the Via del Corso in the very centre of Rome. Its neighbours are luxury shops and buzzing pavement cafés, and you’re just a five-minute walk from the Spanish Steps here. Or, follow the Via del Corse five minutes in the other direction to reach the lively square of Pizza del Popolo, lined with cafés and home to a weekly book market. The apartment is a medley of old and new, with a flatscreen TV sitting above a classic fireplace and gallery-white walls. Gilded mirrors and herringbone floors add a touch of class and the kitchen is a sleek vision of modernity for cooking at home. Our favourite spot has to be the terrace, sheltered by Rome’s historic buildings and set up with bistro tables for cocktails outside. *The kitchen and terrace are shared with another unit. *At capacity, two guests will be on sofa bed in the living room*Security cameras are in operation outside this apartment*The building is staffe...More Details

    St Peter's Terrace

Housed in a prestigious building, set just footsteps from the Vatican City, this central apartment offers a relaxing stay in the heart of Rome's ancient history. Surrounded by excellent restaurants, friendly café-bars, bookshops and bakeries, this desirable location means you can do most of your sightseeing on foot. Whether you're walking over to the Vatican museums, St Peter's Basilica, or the Colosseum, it's all well within reach. Back home, we particularly like the funky wallpaper print in the bedroom, while the contemporary furnishings make for seamless modern living. But the real standout here is, of course, your private terrace, complete with sun loungers, a swing and dome views of St. Peter's. All that's left to do is unpack your bags and spill out onto the terrace for an early-evening aperitivo, before hitting the lively streets below. *At capacity, two people will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living room *This apartment is...More Details

    Viola Strings

Tucked away on a charming cobbled street just an eight-minute walk from Campo de' Fiori, this bright, modern apartment is just the ticket for those looking to be within easy strolling distance of some of Rome’s most historic sights. Though the building’s caramel-coloured exterior hints at a lofty history, the inside of this home is sparklingly modern with contemporary furnishings and a pared-back touch giving it plenty of style. Kick back on the sofa while enjoying a glass of Italian wine, or make yourself an espresso to enjoy by the windows that give way to views of balconies tumbling with greenery along your peaceful street. The bedroom is a chic and minimalist affair too offering a dreamy canvas for a blissful night’s sleep. A city like Rome is full of views, but even so, this one is special, and the terrace itself is beautiful, with the furniture, the awning and the flowers all around (in summer, at least). This, along with the various antiques inside, makes you feel as if you’re in a Rome that existed 200 years ago, one that’s since been lost. *The lift is pretty small – you can just about fit a person and a suitcase in it*When we visited, we found a bit of limescale in the shower and the bathroom in this home is quite small - you will need to pack your own toiletries *You have to pass through the living room to get between the bedroom and bathroom*Two people will be on a sofa bed in the living room Air ConditioningBalconyBlack-Out BlindsBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCentral HeatingCleaning ProductsCoffee MakerCooking EssentialsCot / CribDishwas...More Details

Located in a narrow street between Piazza di Spagna and Piazza Navona, Kalos is a great home if you want to explore Rome on foot. The insides of this home are immaculate and in spite of mixing several different styles, they create an atmosphere of comfort and luxury. You'll get a beautiful view of the city's skyline from the windows, and if you like an alfresco coffee in the morning, Kalos boasts not one, but two balconies. Take note –three of the five guests will be sleeping in the master bedroom without privacy between the two beds. * There's no lift access to this second-floor home, and there are steps inside as well* We spotted some chipped paint right next to the shower in the second bathroom* At full occupancy, there isn't enough space for everyone to sit on the balconies at the same time*The home isn’t stocked with basic kitchen ingredients or cleaning supplies to get you started * You will need to bring your own toiletries for ...More Details

    The Pop Dancers

The spirit of the sixties is alive and well in this brightly saturated home. Built in the 1970s and carefully restored to its original vintage glory by your current hosts, this colourful blast from the past is bursting with pop art prints, lush ferns and mid-century furniture. However, when it comes to amenities, this home just outside Rome is far from dated. Sink into the gorgeous Turkish bath and hydromassage tub for the ultimate relaxing soak or dive into the infinity pool to escape the heat of the sun. The courtyard is as artistic as the interiors, with trailing vines winding around stone columns and native florals perfuming the air – the perfect spot for an al fresco meal or a post-lunch nap. Stay out here and pour yourself an aperitif as the sun goes down on the breathtaking view over the Italian villages and hillsides below. *The pool is available for use from April to October only*We recommend bringing a car to explore the surr...More Details

    Borromini's Rainbow

A truly one of a kind home in Rome’s historic Navona neighbourhood, this colourful apartment is full of fun details that we fell in love with. Housed in a 19th-century building just a four-minute walk from Piazza Navona, you’ll feel like you’ve just stepped into a rainbow from the moment you enter. A bright green hallway leads you into a yellow-hued kitchen and dining space, where a table and chairs invite you to enjoy the breakfast provided and sip your morning coffee in style. Head into the bedroom to be struck by lavender-coloured brick walls and funky wall art that gives the space plenty of contemporary flair. This modern vibe is juxtaposed beautifully with the home’s original features, like the beamed ceilings and the pair of cubby windows giving way to views of the medieval Via del Governo Vecchio below. When you’re not relaxing on the sofa and antique chairs, admiring the decorative curiosities (our favourite is the old Singer se...More Details

    The Lady of Rome

This penthouse lies in the heart of Rome, with some expansive rooftop views from its cosy terrace. Ideal for small families, friends or couples looking to get to know the city, the decor is traditional and charming, though the low ceilings in some areas may not be suitable for taller guests. Parking here is paid, but if you're not driving, you won't have much problem getting around. There's plenty within walking distance, from restaurants and shops to the River Tiber and the ancient Pantheon. Public transport is also nearby, making it easy to see the sights both near and far. *Some areas of this home have low ceilings. In particular, the second bedroom has slanted ceilings and is best suited to children.*Your host can provide a cot on request.*This home is located in an apartment building in a central spot, so there is a chance you might hear some outside noise during your stay.*While there are stairs in the building (unavoidable at fi...More Details
