Everything about this home is geared towards lovers of minimalism. Your hosts employed an architect to ensure that nothing is present that needn't be, removing the distraction that excess creates to leave a clean and uncluttered space that's perfect for disconnecting and switching off. Any omissions in terms of amenities aren't oversights from the hosts. Instead, they’re considered decisions taken in partnership to maintain an aesthetic while creating a comfortable space that works for you – the guest. The hardwood floors, comfy sofa and blonde wood give the apartment a Scandinavian feel. Climbing the ladder up to the mezzanine floor adds a touch of adventure to bedtime that makes you feel like you could be in a cabin in the woods and not central Milan. Given the burgeoning bohemian scene in this part of Milan, that feeling couldn't be more appropriate. Just north of the city centre, Isola marches to the beat of its own drum. Lake Como days are all about living life – Italian style. That means you get to stay in your very own historic building located just seven minutes walk away from one of the most stunning lakes in the world.Relax and unwind in your comfortable apartment. In the morning, potter around at your leisure before heading out for the day.Visit the famous Como Cathedral constructed in the 14th Century then head over to the Como Archaeological Museum in Palazzo Giovio. At the water's edge, take the funicular up to the charming town of Brunate where you'll revel in jaw-dropping views of the lake. Later in the afternoon, go on an unforgettable woodland walk to the Baroque Villa Balbianello, where you'll sit on the terrace with gelato and admire the views of Vergonese and Bellagio off in the distance – we loved making memories that will last a lifetime. * For your convenience, there is an elevator in the building* The mezzanine bedroom is open to th...More Details
Recently renovated and perfectly situated close to the city centre, this smart home is a great option for a small group of friends or a family. A perfect base for exploring Milan, here you'll be within easy walking distance of all the big attractions, with bars, shops and restaurants right on your doorstep.Inside, we love the sleek, minimalist look – pepped up here and there by a colourful statement sofa, a bright rug and the stylish monochrome tiles in the shower. It's simple and understated, but it just works. It's a particularly bright flat, with big windows and modern neutral tones. There’s also a narrow balcony, and while there isn’t space to sit outside, it’s nice to be able to get a breath of fresh air every now and then. The Basilica of San Lorenzo and its famous columns are a few minutes away on foot, while it’s about a ten-minute walk to the Duomo. *If there are six people staying, two will have to be on a sofa bed and everyon...More Details

While the location (a quiet street between the Duomo and Navigli) is an obvious draw of Phantom, there are other benefits to staying here. It’s a really good size for two people (using the sofa bed is possible, but not necessarily recommended), and the large windows bring in lots of natural light. It’s also worth mentioning the level of service offered by Laura and her team. They’re super professional, and while it’s clearly not a lived-in home, everything runs very smoothly. *There's no separation between the living room and the bedroom*While it's nice to have the balcony, it isn't really large enough to socialise on*Two people can sleep on a sofa bed in the living room, but they'd have no privacy Air ConditioningBalconyBreakfast IncludedBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCarbon Monoxide DetectorCentral HeatingCoffee MakerCooking EssentialsCot / CribDishwasherDryerDVD PlayerFridgeHair DryerHangersIronIroning BoardKitchenKitchen UtensilsLaptop...More Details

Tower of Power
Located on the top floor of a historic building, this home is tucked behind Chinatown (the oldest in the country) and just a thirteen-minute walk from Parco Sempione, where you can spend some time wandering through the city’s greenery until you arrive at Castello Sforzesco. You’ll be staying in a lively and local area, a quick twelve-minute walk from the nightlife hubs of City Life and Arco della Pace, but for a lowkey night out you’ll be by the neighbourhood’s buzzing restaurants and bars. Inside, you’ll find this small space has been carefully designed – bright skylights overhead, a custom-built kitchenette and an angular breakfast nook are arranged to make the most of the little footprint. Striking red furniture and calming blue walls transform this modest modern home into a bold, personality-packed base. So relax on the sofa, enjoy breakfast at the counter and fall asleep soundly in the bedroom, feeling right at home. *The lift onl...More Details

Empatia goes to show how much you can do, even with a small space. The flat’s very bright, and when you’re inside, it’s clear how much work Marta’s put into the place – she designed it all herself. While there are bright colours all over the place, they’re set against fairly neutral backgrounds, so never feel overwhelming. We particularly like the creativity shown with the balcony – repurposing the space like that takes a fair amount of imagination and it pays off. *While the flat isn't a studio, the living room and the bedroom are the same space*There's no lift so you have to climb a lot of stairs to reach the flat*The TV is very small – hardly a home cinema experience*Getting to the balcony requires a little agility to climb out the window*There's no washing machine or tumble dryer Air ConditioningBalconyBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCarbon Monoxide DetectorCentral HeatingCoffee MakerCooking EssentialsDishwasherDVD LibraryDVD PlayerEspr...More Details
