Even though it was recently renovated, Jewel Tones nevertheless manages to hold on to its character. Upon walking in you’re greeted by an open living space with high ceilings and large windows letting in lots of natural light. The impressive array of both vintage and modern furnishings makes for a vibrant atmosphere, with plenty of room to sit and relax, or to entertain. The two full bathrooms are also a bit of a luxury. One of Burano’s iconic rainbow houses, this 17th-century building sits on the Canale della Giudecca. From the shop and restaurant-lined street, you step straight into the kitchen which looks like a traditional nona’s cucina with its cast iron oven. The dine-in living room on the ground floor feels more like a dining room with a sofa, but the additional attic reading nook makes up for the shared space downstairs.
