The City View
Located on the cusp of the Eixample neighbourhood, this apartment puts you in an excellent position to explore the city in style. It's right on the Ronda de la Universitat, a major thoroughfare in the city, but this sanctuary is pretty peaceful – thanks to it being on the inner side of the building, you get to enjoy the central location without the noise. We liked the splashes of mauve in the living room, as well as the use of natural materials. The kitchen is kitted out with basic seasonings and cooking ingredients, and there's a juicer and Nespresso machine to make mornings a delight. And the true standout feature of this home is the bedroom, with its impressive modern twist on a classic four-poster bed and painted brick wall. Step outside, and it's just a four-minute walk to the Plaça de Catalunya, and you can arrive at the labyrinthine Gothic Quarter in less than fifteen minutes. * Although there's plenty of light, this home doesn'...More Details

Located right around the corner from Plaça Catalunya, Eunoia is in the heart of the most fast-paced neighbourhood in town. The design in this home is a bit hit or miss – some will love the retro-futuristic features and the bold wallpapers, but if you're a fan of a more neutral look, then you might need to look elsewhere. But if you're a family or a group of friends looking for a relaxed and comfortable stay, then this might be a great option, especially since you can walk to all the central sights pretty quickly. * The dining table is too small for every everyone to dine together at the same time* the ceiling upstairs is quite low – tall guests beware* You need to go through the second bedroom to get to the third one – not a lot of privacy there* The second bedroom doesn't have any windows or ventilation* We weren't able to snap a good photo of the balcony due to the weather* Eight guests can sleep in this home, but the last two will b...More Details

Located in the residential neighbourhood of Sarrià, Marronne is not a place for those who want to party – but if you like your peace and fine dining, then you'll feel right at home. This home is simple, functional and bright – a relaxed living arrangement. The communal pool is perfect for lazy days when you can't be bothered to go sightseeing, and when weather permits, the private patio is a great spot for an afternoon meal. Please note that there are steps inside this home (and no ramp), so it might not be the best option for heavy suitcases or those with limited mobility. * The bathroom is on the smaller side * We're admittedly a picky bunch, but we did feel like the mattress in the master bedroom was due for replacement * This home doesn't have a manual, but the host is working on putting one together* There are several steps leading to the elevator as well – those with limited mobility or heavy suitcases beware* The air conditionin...More Details
The Old Porch
Known for its village-like atmosphere and charming streets, Gràcia is perfect for travellers looking to explore an authentic part of Barcelona. Dreamboat actually used to be a hostel, which explains why every bedroom has its own en-suite and cosy nooks. The building is beautiful, with features from the nineteenth-century, and a gorgeous terrace engulfed in greenery. The kitchen isn’t made for cooking (it’s lacking basic appliances like an oven and equipment), but why not use this as a chance to explore some of the local restaurants in the area? *Bedroom one and two overlook the street – it can get a little noisy*The kitchen isn’t big and it’s only really suitable for preparing light snacks and warming food – there's no oven and there's also very little countertop space*There’s currently no home manual*The toilet in the bathroom closest to the kitchen doesn’t flush properly – the host is currently working on fixing this issue*There’s an...More Details

Located in Barcelona’s lively Les Corts neighbourhood, this modern apartment is an ideal base for those looking to experience the city away from the tourist crowds, all while enjoying a wholly comfortable stay. From its wood floors to its contemporary decor and ample natural light, this home makes a welcoming first impression. We love the glass doors in the living area that lead out onto a private balcony – the ideal spot to begin mornings over coffee – while the private terrace accessed via the kitchen beckons sociable alfresco feasts when you’re not out sampling the local food scene. With a comfortable bedroom giving way to leafy views, not to mention a sleek bathroom with a tub that invites long soaks after a busy day of exploring, you’re all set for a relaxing time. Outside of your home, you’re within easy reach of Camp Nou stadium – home to FC Barcelona – while the L'illa Diagonal shopping centre is a ten-minute walk from your door...More Details
