Location-wise, this home is a ten out of ten. Beautiful Plaza Mayor is just around the corner, which means that many of Madrid’s most famous attractions are all within walking distance. We also loved the design – pastel-hued chicness and a feminine take on Scandinavian style in one, it’s the epitome of stylish, casual luxury. The kitchen is on the smaller side, but we’re not going to hold that against an otherwise terrific home. Plus, there are so many restaurants nearby that you might not even want to eat at home... *We couldn’t find a home manual when we visited*It’s not entirely step-free despite there being a lift in the building – you have to climb a couple of steps to get to the lift*There’s also a step to get into the shower*It sleeps four guests, but two of them would be on a sofa bed in the living room*Both the bathroom and kitchen appeared a little dated – they could do with an update*The water tank is quite small – there mig...More Details
Nestled in the vibrant Lavapiés neighbourhood, where you’ll find medieval streets lined with lively Indian restaurants, authentic Spanish tavernas and cultural centres, lies this minimalist apartment. Granted, it isn’t the most soulful, but if you need a practical base, it fits the brief. Since it’s a studio, all four guests will share the space – two of which will be sleeping on the sofa bed. And while the terrace is somewhat overlooked by the neighbouring buildings, it’s still a lovely spot for a post-sightseeing glass of wine. *At full capacity, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed. Since this is a studio apartment, all four guests will share the same space. *This home was purpose-built for rentals, so it's not the most soulful or charming space. The kitchen feels a little dated. *This home is in a residential building. Expect to bump into your neighbours during your stay. *You won't find a desk here, but the dining table doubles u...More Details
