Authentic Italian village house
There isn’t much that’s more Italian than a Vespa, and Farobasso has two of them. These are the most eye-catching vintage objects in the apartment, but there are many more - the host has tied the theme together nicely. The entire place has been recently redone, and you can tell from the excellent condition it’s in - the bathrooms in particular feel spotless. However, Farobasso is a way out of the historic centre. It might be well-placed to visit the Vatican, but to get to the Trevi fountain, or the Colosseum, you might be tempted to commandeer one of the scooters. *Despite being well-placed for the Vatican, Aurelio isn't a very central part of the city*The wi-fi isn't very fast*The small balcony feels as if it could be put to better use*Guests 10, 11 and 12 will be on sofa beds - two in the living room and one in the master bedroom Air ConditioningBalconyBathtubBlack-Out BlindsBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCentral HeatingChild FriendlyCof...More Details
Located in a narrow street between Piazza di Spagna and Piazza Navona, Kalos is a great home if you want to explore Rome on foot. The insides of this home are immaculate and in spite of mixing several different styles, they create an atmosphere of comfort and luxury. You'll get a beautiful view of the city's skyline from the windows, and if you like an alfresco coffee in the morning, Kalos boasts not one, but two balconies. Take note –three of the five guests will be sleeping in the master bedroom without privacy between the two beds. * There's no lift access to this second-floor home, and there are steps inside as well* We spotted some chipped paint right next to the shower in the second bathroom* At full occupancy, there isn't enough space for everyone to sit on the balconies at the same time*The home isn’t stocked with basic kitchen ingredients or cleaning supplies to get you started * You will need to bring your own toiletries for ...More Details

Sing Me A Song
Before we even stepped foot in this apartment we fell in love with it. Located just beside Termini station, you're connected to the entire Eternal city, while also being only a nineteen-minute walk away from the Colosseum. You really couldn't be better placed. Inside, the home has a warm, genuine feel to it with vibrant patterned wallpapers, pops of colour and dark wooden furnishings. Sleep soundly in the charming bedrooms where plenty of natural light pours through the Juliet balconies and into the rustic yet homely interior. Take to the stylish breakfast bar for a quick coffee, before exploring the iconic sights of Rome. With great links to the wider area and Italy as a whole, if you're ever looking to roam beyond the city (unlikely, we know), a trip back into the past to the ancient site of Pompeii is an excellent excursion and is just over two hours on the train. *It's quite close to the railway station, so you might be able to hea...More Details
With enchanting views over the typically Roman neighbourhood of Trastevere, this home has a fabulous location. In the heart of Rome, strolling along its meandering medieval streets, you'll find Piazza of Santa Maria (three minutes on foot) – take a seat at one of the cafes here for a coffee or lunch. Then head over to Gianicolo Hill for incredible views of the Vatican's St Peter's Basilica, a fourteen-minute walk away. It's the same distance across the Ponte Sisto to Piazza Navona and a few minutes more to the Pantheon, while it's just over twenty-five minutes to the stunning Trevi Fountain (eighteen minutes by car).Back at this home, whip up an Aperol spritz and then have a rest on the chaise sofa after exploring the Eternal City. Light floods into the apartment via multiple windows, allowing the many plants to thrive. If you're musical, you can tinkle the ivories on the small piano or cook up some cacio e pepe in the modern kitchen if...More Details

Verde Cadente
As well as being ideally located in one of the prettiest and most central squares in Rome, this apartment is also within walking distance from pretty much every major tourist attraction. For example, you'll find yourself less than five minutes' walk from the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, nine minutes from the Trevi Fountain, and twenty-five minutes to the Colosseum. You've also got plenty of eateries nearby to refuel after a long day of exploring – favourites include seafood linguine at La Tavernetta 48 and creative bruschetta and seasonal dishes at Michelin-recommended CiPASSO – both of which are within a two-minute walk. We'd suggest you pick this home based on location alone, but luckily the classically Roman interior has its own charms. It might not be one for the cutting-edge minimalist, but with high ceilings, antique furniture and tiled floors throughout, there's plenty of character on show here. Finally, there's a lovely big kitch...More Details

With solid wood ceilings and a view of a charming inner courtyard, Clematis feels very Roman. Minimalist in style (with plenty of original features), it’s great for travellers looking for a comfortable base with a historic atmosphere. Even though it’s within walking distance to important monuments (Largo di Torre Argentina, Pantheon, Piazza Navona), the immediate streets are fairly calm with an overriding local feel. *Depending on the time, the check-in might take place in two stages – the first remote, and an in-person welcome the next morning*Nothing in the way of basic ingredients is provided*Guests 3 and 4 would be on a sofa bed in the living room*Aside from the TV, there aren’t that many entertainment options*This home is on the first floor with no lift – you’ll have to climb twenty-one steps to reach the front door*Guests sleeping on the sofa bed should be aware that there are no blinds in the living room to keep out the sunlight...More Details
Simple yet practical with an emphasis on comfort and privacy, rather than any delusions of grandeur, this home offers a humble stay that provides a relaxing atmosphere to return to after action-packed trips out in Rome. Where the apartment really comes alive is in the personality of the space. Strange as it might seem, the home has something of a sense of humour and playfulness that manifests itself in the design and decorations. Mid-century furniture creates a rather European set-up as it's clear from the moment you step inside that you're on holiday in Italy. House plants, terracotta bedroom walls and quirky artwork set the scene for an authentic stay with bags of character. Since Rome's world-renowned sights are all within close reach, you'll have an idyllic base from which to explore the city with ease. Take a ten-minute stroll to Villa Borghese or hop on the easily accessible bus and tram lines to visit tourist attractions further ...More Details
