The Flaminio quartiere sits in a bend of the River Tiber and lays claim to this classic Roman apartment. The interiors are 1930s inspired with vintage furnishings, rich dark wood accents and original terrazzo floors. After an industrious day exploring the Eternal City, we loved disappearing into what can only be described as a king-sized sofa, designed by Philippe Starck. Sip a cappuccino by the window overlooking the Monte Mario Observatory or take a seat at the dining table and enjoy a traditional cornetto. While you’re a fifteen-minute car ride to the centre of Rome, there’s plenty to do in your locale. In the summer, catch an outdoor movie at the Cinema Titian Roma, ten-minutes walk to the north, with the striking MAXXI contemporary art and architecture museum right next door. The manicured lawns of Villa Borghese are located twenty minutes south – perfect for picnics and afternoon strolls. Closer to home, you’ll find traditional wi...More Details

Any discussion of Savannah has to start with the roof terrace, a little rectangle of serenity nestled in the rooftops of Trastevere. There is furniture up there and even a canopy, so you can relax while hiding from the midday sun. The interior is simple but charming, with a working fireplace in the living room - perfect for those cosy winter nights. The bathroom is a little basic - especially if it’s being shared by four - and it’s worth noting that there is no lift in the building, but otherwise Savannah is a lovely base in Rome's most bohemian neighbourhood. *Get ready for some climbing - there's no lift and the apartment's on the second floor*The stairs to the terrace is quite narrow with a low ceiling*If the apartment receives all four guests, they'll have to share one bathroom Air ConditioningBalconyBlack-Out BlindsBuzzer / Wireless IntercomCarbon Monoxide DetectorCentral HeatingChild FriendlyCoffee MakerCooking EssentialsCot / C...More Details

Eternal Haven
Among streets peppered with restaurants and book shops on one corner, and ancient ruins on the next, Rome’s Castro Pretorio district is a melting pot of history and culture. You can find basilicas, palazzos, and even the Teatro dell'Opera all less than 600 metres from your front door on the famed Via Cavour. Just like its locale, your apartment is full of original character and style.Set on the first floor of a traditional block, the views from the French windows and private balcony offer a fantastic display of the local lifestyle. You can spot the honey and pink tones of nearby Italian architecture, as mopeds whizz by on the streets and people chat at kerbside cafés (all while you sip prosecco on the outdoor seating). If you can tear yourself away from these eye-catching city scenes, take a stroll through the home to explore. The original tiled floors are reminiscent of a Roman bath house, with ornate mosaic patterns throughout the loun...More Details

Natural light fills pretty much every corner of this apartment – a real feat, considering it's tucked down a Trastevere alleyway. Inspired by Joch's Dutch roots, expect to find white-washed wood floors, crisp cream walls and cleanly-designed furniture inside. You'll feel an immediate sense of calm and serenity as you step through the front door, but there's plenty of character, too – think leafy plants, colourful cushions, shelves lined with art books and Joch's photos hanging in the bedroom. After a long day, we loved resting our feet on the blue chaise lounge with a glass of wine (Joch leaves a bottle for you to enjoy on arrival), listening to podcasts on the built-in wireless speakers and catching up on our favourite shows on Netflix and Apple TV. It's a true home from home, right in the heart of the city. And most of all, we loved the location. Trastevere is one of the most charming neighbourhoods in Rome, where excellent restaurants...More Details

Pale Chalk
As well as being ideally located in one of the prettiest and most central squares in Rome, this apartment is also within walking distance from pretty much every major tourist attraction. For example, you'll find yourself less than five minutes' walk from the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, nine minutes from the Trevi Fountain, and twenty-five minutes to the Colosseum. You've also got plenty of eateries nearby to refuel after a long day of exploring – favourites include seafood linguine at La Tavernetta 48 and creative bruschetta and seasonal dishes at Michelin-recommended CiPASSO – both of which are within a two-minute walk. We'd suggest you pick this home based on location alone, but luckily the classically Roman interior has its own charms. It might not be one for the cutting-edge minimalist, but with high ceilings, antique furniture and tiled floors throughout, there's plenty of character on show here. Finally, there's a lovely big kitch...More Details
