Hazelnut Lodge -
Hazelnut Lodge is a purpose built 1 bedroom chalet, set in 3 hectares, on the edge of a small village in the forests and mountains of Central Portugal.
We are totally off-grid, so the electricity and water is included in the price, a major bonus with the current economic situation!
The accommodation has been designed for use for both able and disabled people, home buyers, explorers and holiday makers.
There is a kitchen/dinner, with a corner sofa. The kitchen is fully equipped to a high standard, and has a fridge/freezer, cooker, and microwave.
There is a separate lounge with sofa, plus wisteria covered decked veranda.
There is a wet-room, so shower and all facilities have been designed for people with mobility issues if required.
Outside is a gravel carpark, flowers and trees. The area around the chalet is paved, there is a wisteria covered veranda giving privacy for outside dining.
There is garden furniture, to sit and enjoy the peaceful rural views.
Hazelnut Lodge is walking distance to the Rio Mondego, where you can swim, or 11 km to a lake with restaurants, and marine facilities.
There are no other properties to be seen from the chalet.
The surrounding area is covered with pine and eucalyptus trees, which smell beautiful as you walk though them. Very little light pollution, so great for star gazing, and peace.
The property can be rented for the month for 480 euros, plus a damage/clean deposit of 600e.
Short and medium term lets can be arranged. Bottled gas is available at your own expense. There is a washing machine in the main house, where a 10kg load will cost 7.00e, there are 3 laundrettes in the nearest town.
The farm is located close to the !P3, the main arterial road to Coimbra, and Porto. The International train station of Santa Comba Dao is 10 minutes away in the car.
Close by is the beautiful resort of Senhora da Ribeira, which is a lake with restaurants and water activities available. The local village has the Rio Mendego on two sides, where you can find secluded driftwood beaches.
As the property is Off Grid, care needs to be taken with the consumption of power and water, further operating details are available on request.
Wi-FI is available, along with a Meo dongle.
