Get the chance to stay in Uganda and come in contact with local people and their life! Esther is a very warm-hearted widow, who has raised her 4 children with a lot of power! Some years ago she worked as a teacher and before as a housekeeper for European people, thats where she knows from to cook nice European food. But if you come to visit Uganda you should first try her incredible local food, like Matooke or Posho! Now Esthers children are living somewhere else and she started to host people from all over the world. She wants to show them the beautiful Uganda! She has a own house in poor area of Jinja Bugembe, from where you can see Lake Victoria and which is very close to the source of the Nile! While staying with Esther, people experience the original Ugandan Life! Power is available, but Esther cooks with coal and the bathroom is without fluent water, so real Africa! Dont worry, you get used to it very easily. Everything is very clean and Ester will do everything for you to have a comfortable stay! Up to now Esther hosted a lot of volunteers who worked in Jinja for different organisations, just feel free to contact her and ask everything you want to know :-) For 1,5 Dollar I will prepare lunch and for 1.5 Dollar lunch and dinner. I would love to cook for you.
