Seryna is great! She is very friendly, and multilingual. She is excellent at English, and speaks Japanese and a few other languages. She was very friendly, and helpful with places we could go and see. We really enjoyed chatting with her, and would love to stay at her place again! She has 2 rooms by the way, with one bed in each.

Seryna is the perfect Homestay host for Tokyo. She speaks fluent English and knows her way around Tokyo so can advise first time Japan travelers - and is very helpful. The rooms available are comfortable and accommodating, clean. There is a Mita Line train station about 15 min away and a 20-minute walk to a small local shopping area full of eateries, grocery stores, mixed boutique shops, a specialty snack shop and 100-yen store. The location I would describe as a non-touristy residential neighborhood outside Tokyo. Not much is open at night here. So, it is quiet and requires you to go into Tokyo by metro 20-30 minutes to see the main Tokyo attractions. The rooms are on the top floor and require you to climb/descend two sets of very narrow steep stairs to go outside or use the main shared bathroom. There is a toilet on the floor the rooms are located on. I would go out around 10AM and come back by subway to the house 10:30-11PM. The trains can be crowded on return but is a generally safe area to walk late at night. For these reasons I would recommend this homestay to my female friends traveling solo. If you have questions, you can contact her, and she is good at replying. Using Homestay for the first time, everything was seamless and a good experience overall.

Nice house in a calm street. Seryna is a friendly and easy to talk with host who gave me several recommendations (and more from what I liked the best: gardens) for my travel as well as a useful map. She travelled in many countries and will always be happy to talk about yours. The fact that she befriended several of her previous guests and are still in contact with them should tell enough. She also tried to provide me towels, a toothbrush, shampoo etc that I didn't use because I already had them but it was a nice gesture. If needed, there are several convenience stores around as well as a subway station at around 100m from the house. She also provide Wi-fi with a decent speed, a warmed toilet seat (very nice) as well as a kotatsu. The bathroom can be a little cold (I was here in november) but that's typical of japanese bathrooms and she can provide a heater if needed.

The stay by Seryna was wonderful. She is very friendly and helpful. We were dancing together and laughed a lot. The room and her house are very tidy and very clean. I felt comfortable and welcome all the time. I'm looking forward to seeing Seryna again next time. It was a great stay! Thank you very much!

Serina was a very helpful and generous hostess. I had a problem with delivery of an item and she offered to help. Her home is easily accessible by subway, she gave good, detailed directions, and the neighbourhood is quiet. Room basic and comfortable.

I only had a short stay with Seryna in Tokyo, I was just planning to stop over in Tokyo for a bit before getting on my flight from Narita, but the typhoon Hagibis arrived while I was staying and made the experience much more memorable :) I hope if you stay with her you don't get hit by a typhoon, but I can assure you that if it does happen you will be well taken care of. Seryna cooked meals for me, made sure I was safe during the typhoon and was a great person to chat to. Her house is in a convenient location for reaching either Ikebukuro or Tokyo by train and underground, she has bikes available if you want to cycle around the city and the building didn't fall apart during the typhoon; would recommend.

Dear Selina, I am so very thankful for the time I got to spend with you! I stayed with Selina for 2 weeks, as I was waiting for a free room in a student dorm. The location was very convenient and cozy as the house is located in a residential area with lots of cute little houses. Also there's plenty of grocery stores around. To the nearest station its only a 10 minutes walk. Serinas house is very clean and tidy. During the homestay I felt that Serina has treated me like family and has taken care of me a lot. She is a very open minded and kind hearted person and fun to be around. I can definitely recommend a stay with her! It has been my best experience in Japan so far. Cheers to Selina, I hope to see her again soon! :D
