located in the heart of Sicily, on the Iblei Mountains, a few miles away from the Unesco Heritage Village, Palazzolo Acreide, our villa is a traditional Mediterranean house, nested on a top of a gorge with terraces covered by olive trees, fruits trees and wild Sicilian flowers and pants. Although few minutes drive from the main village, as soon you will step in, you will be far away with your mind from the daily routine and feeling at home in Sicily with us! Additional info: On the first floor of the house there are 3 rooms only for guests; 2 rooms with sharing bathroom "Malva and Pomelia" and 1 only with private bathroom "Calendula". On the ground floor a large living room to share with us and eventually other guests, although during summer our "lounge" is the garden. The most beautiful things of the house are the 2 hectares land all around you, that is almost like to have a private park and you can do trekking every day and find a quiet spot just for you. There are centennial olive trees, carob trees, several fruits trees, typical Mediterranean plants and wild herbs and flowers. Valentina also offers cooking class on learning how to recognize and cook the Sicilian wild herbs from the garden. The entire Villa has been rebuilt on the foundations of a 1856 residence, used by monks of the diocese of Noto, and still now it's visible a water cistern of over 10,000 lt. From a secondary access to the villa, through a rocky path you reach the bottom of the valley where there is an ancient well. From the villa you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the Iblei mountains and the valley. We moved to this house , after 7 years in Cambodia ( where I also had a homestay Villa Medasia) last April 2019 and we are working hard to improve this beautiful house and make our guest feeling like at their own house. If you also are a cats lover, we have 5 sweet cats (4 from Cambodia and 1 Sicilian) and a nice and quiet dog, all looking for new friends and cuddles. The Villa is close enough to the main village Palazzolo Acreide (Unesco Heritage place and second most beautiful village in Italy for 2019) only 5 minutes drive, but distant enough to feel that you are far away from everything! Additional info: Currently June 2021 we are finally finishing the work for the swimming pool and the outside areas for the guest
