We are a welcoming, friendly family: Myriam, my partner Peter (who works at home) and Mikha, who goes to school. Peter is half French and half English and gives French and English lessons. Mikha, who is 15, goes to a school in Font Romeu in the Pyrenees. We live in a large, lakeside house with 4 bedrooms (180 m2) and two terraces with exceptional views over the lakes to the sea. Our picturesque village, Peyriac de Mer, is in the South of France, 45 minutes by car or train from the Spanish border and 2½ hours from Barcelona. It is next to the ancient Roman town of Narbonne (accessible by bus) which was actually the first Roman town to be built outside Italy 2000 years ago, so it's steeped in history, museums and places of acheological interest. Peyriac is in a Natural Park on the edge of lakes, one of which has a beach. Narbonne has plenty of shops, museums, restaurants and superbe covered and open markets by a pretty canal that cuts through the centre of the town. You will have your own room equipped with desk and wifi and use of one of two shared bathrooms, as well as the kitchen. We are present in the house most of the time and can offer conversation and grammar lessons at additional cost. We accept short–stay and long–stay guests.
