Hi, everyone. Thank you for checking my information. -------- I have been accepting guests from foreign countries since 2007. We welcome interested person in life and the culture of Japan. And, I hope for the person who can happily spend time with us. The purpose to hosting is interaction with many foreigners. I hope that you will enjoy and relax in our home. Takatsuki City is located midway between Kyoto and Osaka, making it a safe, convenient, and highly popular area.It is a convenient place to go to Osaka ,Kyoto, Kobe and Nara. (See location:you can use JR rail Pass) I have two bedrooms for guests. Each room are facing south so bright and cozy. Working space on the second floor has a big desk so you can use this space for working and studying. â—†facilities Free wifi( fiber-optic communication), free laundry ( washer-dryer), towels, hair-drier, soap, shampoo and hair conditioner. â—†about us Family: me(56), husband(56) ,son(29), two dogs. Husband and me operate a B&B in Shiga Prefecture after early retirement from our respective companies. During busy periods at the B&B, we are unable to accommodate homestay, but we accept homestay guests only during the off-season. We are looking forward to meet you! ----------- it's difficult to stay here: the person who does not like dogs because dogs always stay in living room. ----------- â—†About dinner The cost is including a breakfast. If you want a dinner, please tell me beforehand(by the day before). You can have a dinner with additional cost(1000JPY). *you stay here over one month: ask me dinner cost! 12.31-1.3 (new year days) : We have traditional style in those days. I'm afraid but you cannot set the price without dinners during this term. It costs 1500 yen per a night (the cost has been set higher than usual since we will prepare special dinners). â—†Check in time 15:00Àœ22:00 â—†Check out time Àœ12:00

This was my first stay in Japan and also my first Homestay. I stayed for over one month at Chiakis place and I absolutely loved it. The whole family was really welcoming and helpful to me even though I barley speak any Japanese. Their English is really good so you won’t have much of a problem if you only speak English. The house is small but clean and it’s super easy to go to Kyoto and Osaka because Takatsuki-Station is only about 20 minutes away if you walk. You can also take the bus, but I never did that. Takatsuki doesn’t have a lot of foreigner which is also a plus for me. Chiaki-san and Hiro-san also have a second house (cottage) near Lake Biwa which is super cozy. I loved it there so much and we went there pretty much every weekend. You will love it too, if you like the countryside! If you want to stay at this place you need to like dogs because Kai and Tera are always around. I never had animals so it was a really nice experience for me and I absolutely love both of the dogs. They also have a cat but he seems really shy or maybe he just didn’t like me. :D Chiaki-san is also a really good cook so I always looked forward to the breakfast and dinner. In the cottage she also always made fresh bread - you will love it! I definitely can recommend this place. I will come back for sure. I had a great stay with Chiaki and her family. I would recommend to all those interested in a home stay in Japan. It is a great location between Osaka and Kyoto for day trips between each, and a very lovely family.

Excellent location 10 minutes from the station and half way of Osaka, Kyoto and Nara (between 30 minutes and 1h30). Nice room and good breakfast. Thank you Chiaki !

I stayed with Chiaki san and her family for 7 nights and enjoyed my homestay with them very much! They would send me to the train station on days that I needed to leave early (around 7am). Breakfast is simple and great! I opted for dinner on some nights and I have to commend that Chiaki san is a great cook. Chiaki san invited me to their villa in shiga prefecture over the weekend and it was really memorable as I got to experience Japan’s countryside. We went to see ?? (sea of clouds) in the morning on the day I left and it was breathtaking. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Une famille très accueillante sans qui mon séjour n’aurait pas été le même. De plus l’accès à Kyoto et Osaka est simple et peu cher depuis Takatsuki. C’est avec grand plaisir que je revendrai chez Chiaki !

Meine Zeit bei Chiaki und ihrer Familie habe ich enorm genossen. Wir haben interessante Gespräche geführt und viel gelacht. Die beiden Pudel sind super! Ein Aufenthalt bei Chiaki ist sehr zu empfehlen!!
