26 km west of Pieksämäki. Lake Vanajajärvi 20 m (length 9 km, breadth 1,5 km), shallow water, firm sandy bottom, pier and rowing boat. Log cabin 1993, living room/kitchen with convertible sofa, bedroom with 2 beds, sauna, dressing room/foyer, washing room (toilet), veranda. Upstairs: bedroom with 2 beds (80 cm and 120 cm), a hall with convertible sofa. Internet connection for an additional fee (contact the owner). Rantahaka is a nice rental cottage on a large lawn plot. Possibility for horse riding 25 km. Outside power point for the car. Häkärinteet Ski Resort 15 km, Pieksämäki 26 km, Jyväskylä 70 km, Kuopio 90 km, Mikkeli 100 km, Imatra 206 km, Helsinki 307 km. Please note: it is forbidden to bring hot tub to the cottage. Charging electric and hybrid cars at the cottage is prohibited.

Totally excellent

An excellent place. Totally quiet. No notable neighbours. Better than the description! Saana-Maarit was very kind and helpful showing us in. I would recommend this to everyone. Amazing peace and quiet and super good sauna.

Marvellous house, full of charm and character

The house is spacious, very convenient and well equipped. Our favourites were a semi-open cosy sitting area on the first floor, and an open terrace with another dining table. I also loved a wood burner stove. We arrived on a very wet rainy day, and the stove made a miracle! Location is superb. Large secluded plot, 20 m to the lake, very convenient entrance. We extensively used a rowing boat. Communication with the owner was excellent. We would be very glad to come here again. Highly commended!
