Set on the ground floor of a classic brownstone, you have the rare luxury of a back garden, with its own lawn and table for al fresco lunches beneath the New York sun. You will be totally charmed by the interiors here – pops of bright complimentary colours greet you from every corner, while original facets like exposed brickwork and the wooden walled bathrooms have been retained.
Located right in the centre of Brooklyn, you are well placed to explore all the local delights. There’s plenty on your doorstep, from a supermarket and a French wine shop on the corner of the street, to a juice bar and vegan café next door where you can have a healthy breakfast before a day of exploring. For great art and excellent restaurants, walk fifteen minutes into neighbouring Bushwick. When you’re ready to venture further afield, walk nine minutes to the metro station to ride into Lower Manhattan in fifteen minutes.
*Your host Amy and her husband live in the parlour floor (or upper ground floor) of unit 1, but you will have the entire garden floor of this duplex apartment including a private entrance.
*Under current law all corridors will have to remain unlocked for fire protection.
*The kitchen has no dishwasher, so be prepared to roll up your sleeves
*There is no inbuilt stove, but instead an induction hot plate with two burners
*While there is no washing machine, there is a laundrette across the street
