The Aquamarine Moon
On the very tip of Italy’s “heel” this apartment sits in the sunny harbour town of Leuca. Sample the seafood restaurants by the water or head out to find a rugged coastline punctuated with secret sandy bays. The apartment is on the top floor of a traditional-style villa with a huge sun trap of a terrace looking out over the harbour. Out here, you can dine, recline and wash sandy feet in the outdoor show after days at the beach. Inside, it’s a little old-fashioned in terms of decor and the kitchen won’t win any awards for modernity, but the sea views from each window are what makes this place stand out.
*This apartment is on the first floor of a building without a lift so it may not suit those with limited mobility.
*One of the bedrooms has three single beds, so three people would be sharing at capacity.
*There isn't a living room, but the terrace is furnished as a lounge area.
*The traditional decor here might not be to everyone's taste. It feels a little dated in parts, especially the kitchen.
