As it’s at the heart of the historic town centre, you’ll be wandering around baroque churches and castles with ease. But for the 21st century, a luxurious penthouse lifestyle is on offer. Let’s start at the top – by which we mean the roof terrace. You’ll be spending a lot of time up here admiring sweeping views of the city and ocean as you sip negronis. Lie back on the sun lounger while someone else fires up the barbecue – freshly grilled fish accompanied by local bread and olive oil will be a fabulous start to your Puglian adventure. When you eventually make it indoors, you’ll find high, vaulted ceilings and an understated colour palette, making the home feel calm and airy.
