Here you'll be tucked away in the village of Tselendata – a traditional, quiet spot that's a real slice of authentic Kefalonia – and just a five-minute drive away is the pretty harbour of Fiscardo, where you can watch the coming and goings of the private yachts and fishing boats.

Freshly renovated, this stone villa mixes old and new, with typical village architecture, blue shutters and two terraces looking out over the trees. Inside, it's spacious and cool, with a modern, minimal feel despite its character features. There's a fireplace for winter stays and a small but perfectly practical kitchen to whip up your Mediterranean meals. And we particularly love the little pool – a real treat after a hike in the forest.
