For some green space, head to Turó Park, with its elegant water features, pretty flower beds and winding paths, a seven-minute amble away. Or just take a stroll around this historic neighbourhood, home to Barcelona University and the restored 1930s market, Mercat del Ninot (eleven minutes on foot), which is great for seafood tapas.

Back at this home, we love the Moroccan inspired design inside – this and the living area’s vaulted ceilings and exposed beams were the first things to catch our eye. The earthy tones create an oasis of calm. Open up the french doors to the cosy balcony with its potted Sansevieria and cactus plants and listen to the sounds of Barcelona. Past the kitchen, there’s a dedicated workspace if you need to catch up on work or if you fancy writing a blog about your time in this fabulous city.
