It's the ideal place to enjoy some respite from the heat, but we think you'll want to spend most of your time soaking up the sunshine outside. Mix a round of Aperol Spritzes at the outdoor bar, before settling down on a lounger to catch some rays. The sleepy hilltop village of Montemassi is just a five-minute drive away, where you can visit the ancient gates, churches, and castle. Walkers are in luck, as the Nel mezzo alla Maremma hiking area is right on your doorstep, where you can trek through the wild landscapes. And, if a day at the seaside is in order, then take a half-hour drive down to the coastal town of Follonica for a day at one of the beaches.
