This former fisherman's cottage, situated right by the rocky shoreline and overlooking water in the picturesque village of Santa Tecla, has been lovingly renovated by your hosts to create an alluring home that caters to all your needs.

Unique, original features have been carefully preserved, maintaining the home's charm, while comfortable contemporary furnishings have been added alongside carefully chosen antique pieces to create a characterful space that's a real pleasure to spend time in.

An open-plan layout on the ground floor allows plenty of light in through double doors that lead out into a private garden at the rear. In addition to an outdoor dining space, there's an inviting Jacuzzi tub bubbling away, plus steps leading down to the rocky shoreline and direct access from the rocks for swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the Ionian Sea.

This coastal cottage is well placed for access to a small selection of restaurants, pizzerias and a conveniently located mini market, while there's a weekly Saturday market a kilometre away in Acireale for stocking up on local produce. From here, you can head an hour or so further inland to explore Etna Park, home to the island's iconic volcano, or drive forty minutes north along the coast to the ever-popular and picturesque city of Taormina.
