When you're not lounging in the sand, spend your time back at home on the wrap-around patio, soaking up the coastal air. There's more than enough seating – share an alfresco dinner around the table (we suggest creating a dish using Mazara's famous red shrimp), then pad over the outdoor lounge chairs for an Aperol Spritz as the sun goes down.

Inside, a breezy living space is perfect for relaxing away from the Sicilian rays and the kitchen is well-stocked for rustling up whatever you fancy. Three stylish bedrooms and a bathroom round out the main house – there's also a separate annexe, which has its own living space, bathroom, kitchenette and a sofa bed, making it ideal for those wanting a bit more privacy.

Mazara del Vallo is an ancient town with plenty of character – and, no surprise, much to discover. Visit the stunning Cathedral of the Holy Savior, buzzing Piazza delle Repubblica and the famous fishing harbour – all about twenty minutes by car, give or take. There's also a seaside promenade for strolls along the water, as well as plenty of restaurants nearby serving fresh-caught seafood.
*Two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the annexe – this has its own kitchenette, bathroom and a living space
*A cot and high chair can be provided on request
*There's an external shower here, perfect for rinsing off after days at the beach
*Beach towels and bed linen are changed once a week – bath towels are changed twice a week
*The kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms are also cleaned weekly
*We suggest renting a car here, as Mazara's centre isn't within walking distance – there's off-road parking available
