Nelson's Retreat
From the terrace of this villa, you can gaze out over Falmouth Harbour Marina, binoculars at the ready for some super-yacht-watching, where boats bob in the crystal-clear Caribbean Sea and jungle-clad hills loom in the distance. You're in English Harbour, home to UNESCO World Heritage Site Nelson's Dockyard. Just along the shore, you've got a litany of first-class international restaurants, roti houses and beach cafes, and there’s a supermarket within walking distance too. Pigeon Point Beach, with its bone-white sand, is just a short stroll down the hill.
Flanked by palm trees, this home sits on a bluff overlooking the bay below. The swimming pool terrace makes the most of this prime position, and you can admire the view from a lounger or the cool of the turquoise water. There’s a plush outdoor lounger and dining for the group on the covered terrace. Inside, the lofty wooden ceiling in the living room keeps things beachy and breezy. We enjoy the characterful touches like the antique writer’s bureau and dresser stuffed with books and trinkets. Your host can help arrange a private chef to make use of the fully-equipped kitchen, and meals are best enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the bay.
