With a convenient location close to the highlights of this glittering stretch of the French coastline, we think this home – with its rustic, quintessentially French style and bags of laid-back beachy character – is a real gem. A one-time fisherman's home, it overlooks the beautiful bay of Var, offering stunning sea views as well as easy access straight down to the water via a set of stairs from the living room.

Whilst the inside is filled with an inimitable coastal light, feeling open and bright as you make your way through its inviting spaces, step outside and you'll find a gorgeous patio. We can already imagine ourselves sitting back with an aromatic cup of coffee, taking in the sweeping vistas and soaking up the relaxed beachside vibe, the smell of the lovingly planted flowers, and the sound of gently lapping waves wafting through the sea-scented air.

Spend your days here exploring the pretty Bay of Portissol, sunning yourself on the beach and dropping in for a dip in the cool, clear waters. Of course, this being France, there's no shortage of great restaurants where you can savour the irresistible flavours of the local cuisine. Perhaps one of our favourite things to do in the area is to spend an hour or two meandering through the bustling market that takes place every Wednesday morning along the tree-lined Allée d'Estienne d'Orves. Select your favourites from the freshest regional produce, before taking your buys back to the well-equipped kitchen and whipping up something delicious.
