When you do fancy a day out, explore the local nature spots of Comporta, or jump in the car and head to Praia da Comporta to enjoy the turquoise waters and white sand – it's just over 4km away. When you return, rustle up a fresh seafood dinner on the barbecue, and eat together alfresco under the pergola with a bottle of Portuguese wine. Don’t feel like cooking? Hire a private chef for the evening and relax while tasting some of the local delicacies of northwest Portugal.
Post-dinner, retire to the fire pit to toast marshmallows and watch the sunset over the fields, or indulge in an evening swim in the private swimming pool.
*This home comprises of three separate huts and a shared courtyard with a fire pit, swimming pool and outdoor furniture – one hut has the main suite and is perfect for a couple, the second has two bedrooms and the central living area, while the last is set-up for kids
*Each hut is laid out across one floor with no stairs
*The nearest supermarket is 4km away, so you'll need a car here – there's plenty of parking on-site
*The swimming pool isn't fenced, so children will need to be supervised at all times
*There isn't a desk here, but the dining table doubles as a laptop-friendly workspace
*Although the twin bedrooms are intended for children, the beds can also fit adults – however, we think the bunk beds are best suited for little ones
