It’s in Galata, a neighbourhood famous for its ancient Venetian tower offering views across the whole city. The tram can see you in Sultanahmet for the city’s ancient sights in around ten minutes and the foodie haven of Taksim is a short walk away.

The home itself consists of three apartments with their own kitchens, living rooms and entrances for a little extra privacy. Three rooftop terraces have far-reaching city views over the shambling rooftops of Galata and across the Bosphorus to the iconic Hagia Sofia. There are areas to dine outside, sofas for relaxing with a Turkish tea and a barbecue if you want to add to the lamb-smoke scent of Istanbul’s kebab houses in the area.

Inside, modernity meets tradition and we love the living room on the top floor with its warehouse-style windows showing off the view. This is the perfect spot for the group to gather and dine as the sun sets. Those lucky enough to bag the main bedroom can enjoy a post-sightseeing soak in the Jacuzzi tub with a cityscape panorama.
