Floating in the Bay

Perched on the hillside above a quiet, white-sanded bay, this villa has views for days. From the terrace, you can spot Polis Beach – a horseshoe of pristine sand and crystal water – which you can reach by private path in just a few moments. Down in the bay, you’ve also got a charming stone pier where you can charter a boat for the day. There’s a kantina here serving simple Greek food, or you can make the twenty-five-minute walk (or five-minute drive) to Stavros in the hills for a little more choice.

It’s all about the terrace here, where the view is simply sublime, especially at sunset. When the sky is tinged powder pink and the water glows, it’s the perfect time to dine at the outdoor table, or just enjoy a tipple or two. Throw open the double doors to let the sea breeze flow into the living room. The dark wood furniture calls back to the good old days and the open-plan living area is a social space. Both bedrooms have direct access to the terrace, so you can step straight out into the morning sun after a good night’s sleep.
