Or, if sleek and contemporary is your vibe, you’ll love the interiors of the guest house across the courtyard, housing three additional bedrooms, each with en-suites.

When it’s time for a get-together, that vast alfresco dining terrace with an outdoor kitchen and wood-burning oven has got lazy afternoon Mediterranean feasts written all over it. Then keep the afternoon flowing with a tasting session in the wine therapy room – it’s a thing. Or drop and flop beside the pool for an afternoon siesta, followed by some rejuvenation in the private spa with a jacuzzi, Turkish bath and sauna. Need we go on? We didn’t think so.
