Behind the Teepee
Nestled in delightful communal gardens sits this large guesthouse that's been set up with your comfort in mind. Skylights welcome the ever-present California sun each morning, creating a serene ambience in the open living space to start your day in the best way possible. Considering the architect is a chef himself, the kitchen has been thoughtfully stocked, perfect for prepping a delectable meal to cook out on the backyard barbecue. There's even a tranquil outdoor spa area complete with a large hot tub, traditional Finnish sauna, a bracing ice bath, an outdoor shower, and a fire pit. We could quite happily spend all our days moving from one to the next and never leave. Although should you head out to explore, you'll find you're located in a calmer corner of Venice – ideal for maintaining the bohemian backyard vibes – you're still plenty close to the action. Head straight down Rose Avenue for a twenty-minute walk to the beach, though that's dependent on your ability to ignore cute boutiques and cafes that line the route. Alternatively, head south to Abbot Kinney Boulevard to investigate the mile-long strip dedicated to followers of fashion, art and food.
