We were charmed from the minute we clapped eyes on the dazzling sea vistas and countless sun-kissed terraces of this newly renovated villa. Perched high in the hillsides of Paxos and just a five-minute drive from the laid-back shores and authentic tavernas of Gaios, it's a postcard-perfect setting.

Sunny mornings call for bobbing about that glorious infinity pool surrounded by fragrant mature gardens. Then get together beneath the shade of the pergola for a lazy tapas lunch and drink up the shimmering sea views (and perhaps a glass of crisp retsina). If you fancy a post-lunch slumber with a good book (who wouldn't?), there are so many quiet seating nooks we've frankly lost count. Or take things inside to the light-filled living room united by breeze-fresh interiors and crash out on the modular sofa – those sea views will still be right there with you. While over in the three restful bedrooms bringing all the chic beach-house style, each room is as serene and immaculate as the next and all offer en-suite bathrooms for an added sense of privacy.

Ready to dip your toes into island life? Then pack up your beach bags for a morning along the shores of Gaios, just a five-minute drive away. Or set sail on an adventure with a charter speedboat (no license required) to search out the island's startlingly turquoise bays – just like you've been dreaming of.
