South Sea House Apt 3 - Luxurious But Great Value

This two bed / two bath great value self catering apartment forms part of the newly constructed South Sea House Apartments. South Sea House Apartments comprises 3 luxury apartments (two 2 bedroom units and one 1 bedroom) and the owners private residence. It is located in a quiet cul de sac road in the upscale area of South Hills, Cap Estate.
The apartment enjoys seclusion with a private balcony w/ plunge pool and private parking. The balcony enjoys cooling breezes with beautiful views across to the ocean and golf course. The property is very secure with an automatic gated entry and is fully fenced.
The apartment boasts a light, bright open plan living area with a fully fitted kitchen complete with granite worktops, stove, fridge, microwave, dining table, washing machine, cable TV (50 channels +) and free wireless internet.
The air conditioned bedrooms in this two bed unit each have an ensuite bathroom. One bedroom has a King sized bed and one has a Queen sized bed.
In addition to private plunge pools in each unit, there is a beautiful infinity edge pool located on the property that is available for guest use .
The property is located within walking distance of the Cas en Bas beach, popular with wind surfers and kite surfers due to its' cooling breezes. Away from the main tourist center, this beach provides quiet and relaxing surroundings. All the tourist amenities of Rodney Bay (marina, shops, restaurants, bars, and more beaches) are located less than 10 minutes drive away. Pigeon Island beach is 1 mile away and the Cap Estate Golf and Country Club with its 18 hole championship golf course is only 5 mins drive away.
The newly renovated Rodney Bay Marina, with its restaurants, shops, boat hire and coastal tours is only 5 mins drive away.

We chose this apartment for a Christmas getaway for a quiet time and easy access to the local beach and amenities of Rodney Bay. The apartment is less than a year old, really well appointed and with a balcony overlooking Cotton Bay beach and the valley between. The bay has a great beach and beach bar with good food at sensible prices. Karen and Gerome are great hosts on site and help with any advice you need We'll be back - thank you

South Sea House Apt. 3 is very well maintained.......clean and pretty modern. We stayed in a two-bedroom, two bath apartment. I believe the owner lives on the premises and was always available. Thank you for providing four cold Pitons to start our vacation! The apartment is spacious and the kitchen is equipped with everything that one will need to prepare meals. The apartment is also equipped with a washing machine but no dryer and the drying rack was very small for drying clothing and beach towels for 4 persons. Also, it would have been nice to have a range hood over the stove. You will need to have a rental car for easier access to this property as it is located away from the busy Rodney Bay area and in a hilly area with a very steep driveway. All-in-all we did enjoy our stay and do recommend South Sea House as a vacation rental.

Karen's property is brand new and absolutely gorgeous. It's on a secure gated and fenced property with a private entrance with a locked entry door. Due to its location off the main road you will need a car to get around town. The apartment is large with 2 good size bedrooms one with a king and the other with a queen size bed. The kitchen is clean, spacious and has all the amenities that you would need during your stay (microwave, kettle, fridge, toaster, blender, etc.). The view from the living room/patio is very serene. We enjoyed our breakfast and relaxed evenings on the patio with the plunge pool. It was so relaxing to see the beautiful views while sipping on a cocktail. The first half of our stay was at Karen's property and other half at Sandals resort. Honestly, we thought we had a much better stay at Karen's for 1/3 of the cost than an overpriced all inclusive 5 star resort. Karen was a wonderful host, very helpful, friendly and shared tips & recommendations with us. She also let us use their personal family infinity pool on the weekend, which again had a gorgeous view. We would highly recommend this property and will definitely come back to stay again!

We found Cap Estate to be the ideal location for our visit to St. Lucia. We always look for the "quiet end of the island" - Jerome and Karen have that spot! The apartment is as nice as the photos depict. South Sea House provided convenient access to Cas-en-Bas beach through Cotton Bay Village Resort (just down the road - literally) and Rodney Bay Village. The pool, restaurant and open-air bar at CBVR (on the wild Atlantic) were favorites. An easy drive to Smuggler's Cove found an enchanting beach on the Caribbean side (good snorkeling). Jerome was a gracious and friendly host - his advice about his beautiful island enhanced our visit. Thank you Jerome!

I spend 4 days at South Sea House with a group of 4 other friends and was most satisfied with the service provided by Jerome and Karen. The apartment was very celan and well kept. They did all they could have possibly done to make our stay as stress free as it could have possibly been. Upon arrival we were pleasantly greeted by Jerome who showed us around and made us feel totally at home. We were provided with a cell phone for use while on the island as well as complimentary drinks. This property is located away from the hustle and bustle. Was a bit difficult to locate at first but the directions that Karen sent proved to be very helpful.

My friends and I stayed at South Sea House for 4 nights. It is exactly as you see in the pictures; beautiful, spacious and all amenities provided. Jerome even provided some of their local beer "Piton" to welcome us which were nice and chilled. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apt and would recommend to any choosing to visit St. Lucia. Jerome and Karen were always helpful to give directions or to suggest places to eat or sight see. Thanks much guys.

This was our second visit to St Lucia, in 2013 we stayed at Karen & Jerome's apartment in Cas en Bas. This year we spent 2½ weeks in apt. 3 at their newly-built residence in South Hills with its spectacular views north across the golf course and east to Cotton Bay and the ocean. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable, with high ceilings and ceiling fans. Thanks to the elevated position of South Sea House the atlantic breeze keeps it well ventilated and we didn't need to use the air conditioning at all during our stay, although it's available in both bedrooms. We slept really well on the new king size bed. All the kitchen equipment is brand new and works well. We used the gas oven and hob on several occasions with excellent results. Outside on the terrace the plunge pool offers a great opportunity to cool down and enjoy the view at the same time. Once again Karen & Jerome did everything possible to make us welcome and to help us with their local knowledge and contacts. We had a great holiday and will definitely be booking for 2015.

Stayed in the 2 double bed 2 bath apartment with demanding teenage step daughter and we had a most excellent break. High spec in great Cap Estate location. Cotton Bay resort is around the corner and you can stay here at a fraction of the price but use their beach and pool as long as you buy the odd cocktail. On a hill so has great views and the breeze. Will return.

My 5th time in St Lucia, having previously stayed at Karen and Jerome's (the owners) Cas En Bas apartment (Great Value Hillside apartment W/ Private Pool and Ocean Views Vrbo number 219260) I had no doubt their new place was going to be just as good. The reality far surpassed my expectations, this two bedroom newly built apartment benefits form a huge amount of space, brightly decorated with vaulted ceilings and fans it is well layed out with two ensuite shower rooms, with a high standard of fittings. The living area has a well equipped kitchen if you fancy cooking, a bluetooth music system and TV also. The apartment is located with great views over the golf course and out to the atlantic ocean in the Cap Estate area less than a mile stroll to the beach and if you're awake in time you're guaranteed of a great sunrise. The balcony itself has a table and chairs for some alfresco dining or drinks with the cooling breeze over the hill side The balcony also has its own private plunge pool just perfect for enjoying a cold beer after a hot day at the beach, alternatively by arrangement Karen and Jerome will allow use of their own infinity pool and deck area on site with the same great views and a great place to while away an hour or so in the sun. As with their previous apartment Karen and Jerome made it very easy to book and pay, were on hand to welcome us on arrival and make sure we were comfortable and with lots of great information of what to see and where to go. As before I couldn't resist booking Jerome to take us out on his boat for a tour of St Lucia from the sea (find him as Israel king Water Taxi reviewed on trip advisor) All in all highly recommended and we'll certainly be back, thanks for a great stay.

Had an amazing 7 day experience in Apt. 3. The listing is accurate in all amenities and photos are exactly as the apartment looks when you arrive. The property is clean and well maintained. Owner was there to great me and explain all the features of the apartment. I would highly recommend this apartment to singles, couples and families. Looking forward to my next stay.

We rented the 2 BR 2 BA apartment the last week of February. It was a beautiful place to be and we enjoyed our stay immensely. The house was only 2 years old and is in beautiful condition. The inside is very clean, bright, and well-maintained. The master king bed was very comfortable. The AC in the bedroom worked well, but we only used it at night when sleeping. The natural trade winds provide a nearly constant breeze. The owners, Karen and Jerome, were very hospitable. They were a great resource for information about the island regarding shopping, beaches, places to visit, etc. Although there were other renters in the same building we never would have known because the units are well separated and soundproofed. We never heard the other visitors or owners. The driveway leading up to the building was gated, so we felt very secure. We were given our own remote control to come and go as we pleased. It's a small detail, but it would be nice if there was under-cabinet lighting in the kitchen for cooking and preparation purposes after dark. We had a great stay and would recommend this to our friends and family.

We have stayed here before and will keep returning as it would be impossible to find equivalent standard of accommodation for this price. The apartments have everything you need to self cater, the family pool is clean and has a beautiful view and the hosts are really helpful. The apartment is cleaned with fresh sheets and towels during your stay. It is about a 5 minute drive to Rodney Bay, the marina, Pigeon Island, Reduit beach and loads of restaurants/bars/shops. Absolutely ideal either for a couple in a romantic getaway or a family holiday.

I'm not sure where to start first The apartment was beautiful and well appointed. Definitely one of the best values on the island! Karen and Jerome were welcoming and accommodating. We stayed in Apartment #3 on the top floor (only 10 steps due to it being built on the side of a hill) which is a 2 bedroom/2 bath apt with vaulted ceilings. The décor is updated with clean lines. There is a/c in the bedrooms but only used it at night as the breeze was wonderful. Karen put us in touch with a taxi service (Total Care taxi and our driver was Francis) which was incredible. Francis not only picked us up from the airport but he became our driver for the week and took us to the "local" spots for dinner. This is probably one of the best experiences we have had on any island and we will definitely be back and South Sea House will be the only place we will stay! By the way there is a secluded beach a mile away where the local horses paid us a visit and we had an awesome lunch at the beach restaurant...that was priceless!!!!

This apt is perfect and exactly as described. Great location especially if you are a swimmer and snorkel, horseback ride, kite surf, jog , enjoy all types of water. You have the one beach to kite surf and snorkel on other side with a bohemian type resteraunt with good food. Alone time here. Also five min away is smugglers cove and pigeon island for real snorkeling. Caribbean water side. Not far from body holiday and they resteraunt too. Cheaper to eat out was nice too. Just book it and ask any questions. Nice nice time

There are many words in the dictionary to describe the South Sea House Apartments. But none would do it justice. Although, I will say this if your looking for some place quiet this is it or secluded place this is it or a romantic this is it and of course on the islands its all about the view..... and South Sea Apartments has that and more. If you need a driver they will provide one for you. Fancies is his name and he takes care of you. on time professional and if he can drive you himself. He will have and associate he knows to take your destination. The staff is very professional and there is a someone on site to answer your question if needed. They also provide you with a phone for those individuals whose phones that don't work on the island. Which allows you to communicate with a driver if needed or the owner on site.

Just what we needed for our 10 day stay. We were very well looked after by Karen and Jerome. The kids loved the pool and we loved the seclusion of Cap Estate. We will be back.
