50 metres from the River Danube - Parliament view

Imagine yourself on the tranquil side of Buda, enjoying a panoramic view of the River Danube and the Parliament Building from your apartment window. A rare location, yet easily accessible to the city centre (2 train stops away or a 2 kilometre walk which will take you less than 30 minutes). If this is your dream vacation rental, continue reading...
The newly renovated 3 bedroom apartment (circa 1898) evokes a feeling of the past with its preserved windows and shutters, yet tastefully integrated with the functional needs of the present. You will find a mixture of Art Nouveau and Art Deco furnishings, a testament to the architectural heritage of Hungary. If you like the idea of living in a historical building, this will be your ideal for you.
The apartment has a living room and 3 bedrooms. There are twin beds (which can be joined to form a king) in one room, a king sized bed in another room, and a single bed in the third room which is suitable for one person. There is a bathroom (bath tub and shower) with a separate WC, plus an extra WC next to the kitchen which does not have showering facilities. The amenities in the apartment include cable TV with English channels, free internet access, a well equipped kitchen, a stylish bathroom with fittings from Hansgrohe and Duravit, a local mobile phone and even a printer.
The nearest metro and tram stations are 500 metres away. Also in the vicinity are local restaurants, a supermarket and some interesting shops such as Herend pottery and custom-made Hungarian shoes. You are also able to reach nearby tourist attractions such as the Parliament House, Buda Castle and Margaret Island within 15 minutes on foot.

Another Fantastic apartment........similar to your Berlin one !...........we loved it. The view to the Parliament Buildings was Amazing , especially at night !!!!.... Easy walk to the Metro at Batthyany Ter......where we also found a good sized Spar supermarket........... We also found a great Restaurant on Fo Utca called " Lanchid Sorozo " at the Chain Bridge end, which had a very ,relaxed ,atmosphere & fantastic service !!! Your apartment had everything we needed & we will be recommending it to friends. Cheers

Together with for friends I stayed in this house during a dancefestival on the Budasite. We were really happy with the location and the we everything looked. Everything is very spacious, nice big rooms and Kitchen. Nicely decorated (Loved the tiles) and it is a good place to stay with a group of friends. The beds were really nice and it was quite so no worries about less sleep. Contact with Eugene went very smooth, he always responded quickly and was very helpfull. Next time I would love to stay here again!

Stayed here 4 nights with family of four. We were really pleased with the location on the Buda side overlooking the Danube and the beautiful Parliament - away from the busyness of Pest, but still with easy access there by metro/tram. Close to the wonderful Margaret Island and Castle Hill. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. (Not to mention Budapest's amazing selection of exit room games...) The apartment is newly refurbished with new beds, bathrooms, kitchen etc. and equipped to a high standard. The owner is extremely professional and helpful, e.g. with useful information beforehand, a very nice welcome pack, flexible with arrival/departure times etc. (In fact we also stayed in his Berlin apartment.) The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that it needs a bit more furnishing to finish it off - e.g. curtains, pictures, fresh paint on the window shutters. All easy to sort out and once done this will be a top apartment.

The apartment was clean, with a nice view (you see the parlament from the windows) and there was everything you need (towels, chess, play cards and etc.). The agent was very hostile and helpful. Thank you for the good experience.

I took my grandchildren and we all really enjoyed our stay in the apartment, finding it quiet, comfortable, clean and very accommodating. Easy walk to palace, bridges, metro and bus. The owner and contacts were more than helpful.

Thank you to Andy and Zoltan. Our flight was delayed by 5 hrs so we didn't arrive til 5am instead of 12 midnight. Andy and Zoltan stayed in contact by text and Zoltan was there at the airport to meet us as was Andy to hand over the keys at the apartment. Eugene, the owner, in fairness, waived the late check in and check out. The apartment itself was very clean, spacious and the beds were veeeerrry comfy. However, I felt it was a little bit isolated and extremely dark inside. I know from reading other reviews that Eugene wants to keep the shutters and original windows, but I feel it gives the appearance of being run down. The only reason that I wouldn't recommend it to a friend is that I felt it was a little far away from the centre of things. Thoroughly enjoyed Budapest, metro system brilliant.

Great view of Parliament House from bedroom & living room! Convenient location, quiet/safe neighbourhood, just steps from Kiraly spa. Good size rooms, comfy beds, functional kitchen, plenty of heating, wifi working, very clean, great value for money. Like the dvd/book library. This is a good apartment to share with friends or family/kids as plenty of space. This is my 2nd trip to Budapest... this apartment is bigger and cheaper than the one I rented few years ago. I really like the view from windows!!! I enjoyed my strolls by the river every morning/evening.

Our expectations were high having stayed last year in Eugene's Berlin apartment, and the spacious, well-appointed Budapest apartment did not disappoint. It was a cool haven to return to after lovely hot days out in the city, and was perfectly situated close to good restaurants, 5 minutes from the metro and river bus stop and a well-stocked Spar supermarket, and within easy walking distance of the main sights on the Buda side of the Danube. Andy and Renata the apartment managers were very helpful with practical matters like booking taxis to and from the airport. I have already recommended this rental to a friend, and hope Eugene will continue to start up rentals in places I want to visit - Prague or Vienna would be nice!

This was everything we wanted in an apartment as 3 singles travelling together; 3 bedrooms, 2 toilets, kitchen, lounge and shower with washing machine. Added to that was the charm and antiquity of the building (but modern plumbing, etc) The manager met us and provided excellent support, with provisions on arrival, like tea, coffee, milk, etc. The local area is non-touristy and trams into the City are 5 minutes’ walk away as is a supermarket. The view across the Danube to the Parliament building is stunning day and night. Neil M

It has been a great place, broad, spacious. The best thing was the view you had of Parliament, and although it is on the Buda side can easily access Pest.

This property is everything the owner indicated. Very spacious, excellent location, walking distance to parliament, restaurants. Transportation grocery stores just block away. My wife and daughter, granddaughters even found a great shop for shoes and clothing 2 blocks from the apartment. This property is going on our list for our next visit to Budapest. I was born in Barbacs and lived in Bulf have family in Budapest and Zalaegerszeg. We escaped from Communism in 1956 and now return to be with Family every 2 to 3 years. On this trip I brought my granddaughters to meet there cousins. They loved the city, the country and will be back.

Thank you! We loved everything about this apartment. Didn't want to go to sleep to miss a moment of the wonderful view - magnificent parliament building and river activity. The pictures on the website are accurate but can't capture the atmosphere, the comfort and space, and the history you feel here. High ceilings and chandeliers but modern facilities and plumbing. Fast, reliable wifi even our kids were impressed with! Five minutes along the riverbank and you're at the metro. Five minutes later city centre. Eugene was fast & friendly in reply to queries, and Andy extremely pleasant and helpful with keys, info, etc. They really made us feel like welcome guests.

Very nice apartment with wonderful view of the parliament . Located on first floor so easy to get luggage in!. Very secure area. Apartment had wi fi , washer and dryer, kitchens adequate . located within walking distance to metro, hop on hop off bus. Staying on Buda side is much quieter. Andy met us at the apartment and was very helpful when we arrived. Would definitely stay here again if we ever return!!! This is everything Eugene said it would be in his description.

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. Eugene was really helpful and left some ideas of where to visit. The apartment was larger than we all thought but really clean and easy to be in. The view of the parliament building was amazing - especially at night when it was all lit up! We walked everywhere in the city and used the tube which was within a short walk from the apartment. I would definitely go return to this apartment if we decided to visit Budapest again. Thank you Eugene (and to Andy who was at the apartment to greet us from our very late flight in!)

Fabulous one week stay in Eugene's Budapest apartment for a party of five adults. Great location, great view and more spacious than appears from photos. Very high temperatures that week so we were grateful for the floor fans. Delightful Judi met us and showed us through. Loved the ambience of the apartment, handy to supermarket and variety of neighbourhood eateries. The Kiraly bath house opposite was an experience. Eugene extremely prompt answering questions and checking our comfort.......certainly recommend.

The apartment is quirky, with two separate toilets, bath and shower room. Very creaky floors, which is fine. A great location, quiet at night but walking distance from the busier Pest side of town. We enjoyed our stay here. And yes we would stay here again.
