Robs Rest

The cabin is in a 1.5 acre paddock which is a 5 van certificated location for caravan club members only.
There are 2 other cabins in this paddock called Lucys Nest and Jens Den.
Robs Rest cabin is situated in the heart of rural Anglesey. It is ideal for country walks, a nearby reservoir (5 minute walk across the fields) offers plentiful wildlife along its banks, or relax on the veranda with a glass of wine and appreciate the quiet countryside. This is in the heart of Anglesey's farming community, so you may be woken in the morning to the sound of sheep in the surrounding fields..Please remember these are countryside cabins and not hermetically sealed hotel rooms.

The cabin has 2 bedrooms, 1 loft bedroom with 2 single futon matresses accessed via a wooden ladder not suitable for children under 6 yrs old, 1 bedroom downstairs with a double bed, and a double pull out settee in the lounge. The downstairs is an open plan kitchen / dining / lounge with double doors that open onto a wooden veranda. The cabin has a full size gas cooker, fridge, microwave and fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom has a shower. The lounge has a free sat TV and DVD player. The cabin is heated by gas central heating.
The nearest beaches are approx 15 mins away and the nearest supermarket is about 25 mins away by car.Local facilities include horse riding, clay pigeon shooting and go karting.Llanddeusant, a small village close by, is home to the only working windmill on Anglesey and an historic watermill.Llantrisant makes a very well located base for making the most of this island; from the castle, restaurants and shops at Beaumaris, to a family day out at the sea zoo, and the beauty of walking the Anglesey Coastal Path. The attractions of the mainland are within easy reach and include historic houses, beautiful gardens, fabulous mountain scenery and wonderful walking and climbing.
Please also see details for 2 other cabins on site Jens Den and Lucys Nest.

I was fortunate to have a friend stay here the previous month so was really excited when she said it was lovely, and it was. Owner, Diana, is a gem and so nice. Lovely walks for our 2 dogs and plenty of space to feel secluded and quiet. The cabin is modern and tidy, nice big bed and great attic space for our teenager to spread out. Lovely and warm, quaint and cosy. Had a very relaxing stay. You need a car to get around the island. Take a bike for some great rides on the quiet lanes. Will definitely be back in the spring :-)

My wife and I have just returned from staying at this lodge and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Diana is a lovely owner who will greet you on your arrival and show you where everything is (the lodge is within the grounds of her farm). The lodge itself has everything that you would need and is lovely, comfortable and warm. The location is perfect as there are lots of things to do and explore within a 20 minute drive - I would highly recommend visiting Beaumaris! We will definitely return in the future. Thank you Diana for a lovely stay!

We've just returned from a week in angelsey staying at robs rest, the cabin is an ideal base to see the whole island, car is essential although there are great walks around the cabin and perfect for dogs! Can't thank Diana enough for all her help and friendliness. Thanks again for a great stay. Elaine, Ross and sirus the springer!

Just got back from a wonderful 4 night holiday at Rob's Rest, I would recommend this cabin to anyone! It is nicely furnished and very well equipped, quite a home from home, but far more peaceful than where I actually live! Rob's Rest really is "out in the sticks" - I mean that positively- in a very rural part of Anglesey, and yet you can get to any part of the island in around half an hour or less, making it an ideal base. Its farm location with only one other cabin and maybe a few motor homes makes it so much more peacefull than on some lodge parks where I have stayed before. It really is idyllic and perfect for chilling out with a glass of wine, looking across the fields and listening to the birds and the sheep. We were made very welcome by the owner Diana, who is friendly and helpful without being intrusive, and also by her lovely dogs, Toby and Stella and an extremely friendly white cat! I love dogs and welcomed them "calling round" but they would not cross the threshold into the cabin and would go away if you told them to. There were just the 2 of us, but the cabin would also be great for a family as there is a loft bedroom accessed by a ladder which I can imagine kids would love! There is also a sofabed in the living area so it could easily sleep 4 adults, 6 adults might be too many for the space in the cabin. I love staying in log cabins, they are a bit different and give you more freedom (and are cheaper!) than a hotel and this one is one of the best! Would definitely rent it again :-)

we have got back today from robs rest, we really enjoyes the log cabin and the peaceful long weekend break. The owner diana was very welcomming, she even went for a bottle of milk for us. Our dog enjoyed the run about and the little walks. You would need a car but overall it was very quiet and relaxing. Would definately go back in the future.

Booked for half term, took our children (10 & 12) - the lodges are ideally placed for some peace and quiet yet close enough to drive to all the beautiful beaches in the area. The children were worried about the lack of WiFi and intermittent 3g for a whole week but being without it taught them the value of board games (also supplied!) The best part is sitting out on the decking with a pot of coffee enjoying the sunshine. The dogs were free to roam the paddock and we all came back well chilled out. Diana is a very nice lady and is on hand at her farm if you need anything (which we didn't). Very well equipped lodge, central heating definitely a bonus!!

We stayed at Robs Rest for 2 nights. A birthday present for my partner as we love anglesey and thought it would be nice to stay somewhere different. We normally pay quite a bit to stay in anglesey in cottages that then charge additional for bedding, gas, electric and fuel for the fire. The price you pay for Robs Rest has all this included and is excellent value for money. The little log cabin has everything needed for a short stay with a quiet surrounding in the centre of anglesey to ease travelling to any part of the beautiful island. The beds are really comfy and our son of 7 loved his attic bedroom. Our daughter of 3 slept in our bed due to the steps being steep but could climb unaided during the day. The farm is very clean and undisturbed by others. Diana was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. She has two dogs of her own that are very friendly if greeted but will leave you alone if not invited. They both got on fantastic with our dog and one of Diana's dogs spent the morning of our departure in our cabin. If dogs are not your thing and you do not invite them they will stay away from you. The last thing I would like to comment on is the shower. Very important part of a stay that gets looked over and taken for granted. Out of this world. Enough said. If you decide to book, enjoy your stay and take time to read the poems that are framed around the cabin. A gorgeous little touch.

Stayed here for four nights between the 17th and the 21st of February. Despite arriving late to due traffic we were greeted by Diana who made us feel very comfortable. Throughout our stay she was always on hand if we needed her but left us to enjoy our stay. Rob's Rest is a fantastic little place to stay with more than enough room for myself,my wife, our two children and three dogs. It's an ideal location to explore Anglesey from as it's less than fifteen minutes from most big towns and the views from the cabin look over the Welsh hills. Highly Recommended and we will be looking at returning in the future.

Very relaxing, my kids throughly enjoyed been able to play in the garden there. There was plenty of sites to explore an town near by. The cabin was lovely catered to all our needs. Chilled evening playing with the kiddies. The owner was lovely an very welcoming. When booking the cabin she was very helpful an got back to us quickly. We will definitely be coming again.

The cabin is lovely with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The location is beautiful, set deep in the Anglesey countryside with panoramic walks and picturesque country lanes, yet only half an hour's drive from the island's many beaches. In the clean and surprisingly spacious cabin we were delighted to find a good selection of games & books to keep us entertained in the evenings as well as satellite tv for the kids who just couldn't live without their cartoons in the morning. Diana couldn't have been a more helpful or friendly host - she made us feel very welcome without ever being intrusive during our stay and we became so at ease with her by the last day we couldn't leave without hugging her goodbye. Our party consisted of myself and my partner, her son of 10 and daughter 12, my 19 year old twin boys and the girlfriend of one of the twins. We also needed to bring our disabled cat Charlie on holiday with us and were glad to find somewhere so welcoming to pets - in fact Charlie spent a lot of his time with Diana's dog Toby, who was as friendly with him as with all of us. Of course it was a squeeze for us as the cabin is more suited to 4-6 people but with a little creativity and the fact we could only stay a few days, we managed just fine. As we had a couple of riders in our group it was great that the equestrian-minded are well catered for on the island; we even met a few nice horses on the site itself. Anglesey will never be mistaken for Ibiza or even Blackpool but as a peaceful getaway it's spot on and this holiday rental must be one of the nicest - we did have lots of sunshine, mind you!

Fantastic from the outset. Diana was quick to respond to all queries after our last minute booking and made us feel right at home. After showing us around, we were left to take in the quiet, peaceful and beautiful surroundings in the very pleasant company of her very friendly animals. The weekend was excellent and we were very sad to leave! Paradise... Really beautiful part of Anglesey! Would highly recommend to any couple looking for a romantic getaway or a wind down. Thanks. Look forward to staying again in the future.

We recently visited Robs Rest in a group of 4 women, 1 man, 1 baby and a dog for my birthday weekend. We wanted a laid back, relaxing weekend to catch up and eat/drink lots and go on long walks in the countryside. This was perfect for what we wanted! Diana was lovely and very accommodating- I had endless queries as is always the case when you take charge of a group event but she was very patient and answered in a helpful and timely manner. Lovely scenery and plenty of nice walks. Cabin cosy and comfortable, Would recommend and return.

My booking experience was easy, emailing Diana with special requests that she immediately replied with a solution. The accommodation is remote and a challenge to find but the directions given help. On arrival i was taken back by the beauty of the location and the way the accommodation looked from the outside. The inside was 100 times more amazing and the nice little touches of games to pass the time just made the stay a pleasure. Thank you.

Robs Rest is ideal location in Anglesey. Central to all locations with easy access to all routes. Accommodation has everything you'd need and much more. Diana provided us with a comprehensive brief on arrival and could not have been more helpful. Whether, walking, cycling or having a quiet few days, you won't find better. BBQ also came in handy. Thank you for our visit

Loved it- we are a family of 5 (three girls, twins of 8 and a 5 year old). Beautiful surroundings. Peaceful. You will need a car- you can visit all of the island easily from this spot. Well equipped cabin. All 3 children slept in the loft. We took our lilo and Diana was happy for us to put it next to the other 2 futons. Our girls found this very exciting. The cabin is warm in the evening- the central heating is excellent, as is the shower. If you have camped but want to go a bit up market- this is perfect for you. We have camped with our 3 and usually end the week more tired than when we started. However, our experience here was the exact opposite. We all slept really well and didn't hear any animals at night. Diana plus family are great- always on hand to answer questions and give local tips. It's such good value and we will be going back again.

We chose this break to assess how easy it was to holiday with a dog. It took us quite a while to find it as the sat nav stopped working when we reached Anglesey. However, once we finally arrived we received a warm welcome from Diana, Toby (Labrador) & a beautiful 8 week old puppy who escorted us on our conducted tour of Robs Rest. The accommodation is well planned with a double bedroom, bed settee in the lounge area, fitted kitchen with all utensils you would need, bathroom with a snug but powerful shower & for children 2 beds in a den like attic. The view across a large meadow is lovely & the dogs were soon playing well up & down the slope. We soon learned to find our way about the local roads (with the help of a paper map) & visited all the bays on the island. Llangefni is a nice little town ( market day Thurs) & it was here on the Main Street we found a lovely olde worlde cafe which insisted dogs went inside & were provided with water & treats. The only negative aspects were the lack of WiFi, the distance to a shop should you need one & the difficulty finding it initially, - suggestions to Diana: provide detailed instruction from the A55 to Robs Rest for those booking & perhaps some salt in the kitchen cupboard? Otherwise, we loved it & would definitely recommend it.

Loved this mini break. Diana was a real gem. She organised a nice surprise decoration of the cabin for my husbands 50th Birthday, such a lovely touch and just made it even more special. The cabin is between 20-30 minutes drive from most places but this is what makes it great. Beautiful surroundings around the cabin and nice walks. Very peaceful. Have felt awkward on other breaks when staying in accommodation close to the owners home but couldn't have felt more at ease here. Was nice to see Diana's daughter and her two boys playing on site, made it feel even more homely. We will be booking again. Thank Diana.

We stayed at Robs Rest for a weekend and loved it. The owners and their family were very accommodating and friendly. We took our two dogs who loved running around with the owner's two labradors. The cabin was clean, and the bed was very comfortable!! The shower was powerful and hot. and the kitchen had plenty of utensils and plates/glasses/cutlery etc. Surrounding the cabin is miles and miles of countryside, and a large lake to walk around just a 10 minute walk from the cabin. There are also plenty of beautiful beaches approx 20 minutes drive from the cabin. Would definitely reccomend if you are looking for a relaxing break away.

Diana & Rob great people, we arrived as guests and left as friends, however this will not affect the review My wife and I would have awarded 10 stars. Nothing was too much trouble, Diana just wanted to make sure we had all we needed in the cabin. We could even take our cat Sam. The cabin was very clean, well equipped with all you need to have an enjoyable stay. Vital you follow Diana`s directions to cabin as sat nav post code stops you short of your destination. We did and had no problem finding Rob`s rest. Very peaceful location for a relaxing holiday tip well worth visiting the windmill and if you make your own bread buy some of their flour which is actually ground at the mill.

My family and I enjoyed a lovely week at Robs Rest. The children (aged 7, 5 & 1) enjoyed the freedom of being able to play on the large safe field that the log cabins are on. We went on a few short walks and there is a lovely reservoir close by which is worth walking to, only 10 mins walk). Robs Rest was very clean, the shower was lovely and powerful and the central heating meant we were kept nice and warm as the weather wasn't the warmest considering it was August! Our French Bulldog Beanz also enjoyed his stay and made friends with the owners two labradors! He loved being able to run around the field! Our boys made friends with Diana's two grandchildren and also some children from the other Log cabin so it was nice to see them all playing together in the evenings, climbing trees and looking for grubs! We throughly enjoyed our time at Robs Rest!

Plenty of lovely walks and only a short drive from Sandy beach which is beautiful. Rob was very welcoming when we arrived and made sure we were settled in. 4 of us stayed at Robs Nest over the New Years weekend. We all wanted a quiet, relaxing weekend to welcome in the new year, and we sure did have a nice and quiet weekend. The cabin has everything you need for your stay, and we felt very comfortable as soon as we arrived. Diane the owner soon popped over not long after we arrived to welcome us to the cabin, very welcoming and friendly and discussed the cabin in detail to us. The cabin kept nice and warm during our stay which was a bonus as it was freezing hard outside. Would highly recommend. Well worth the money, really reasonably priced. Diana had sent very comprehensive directions so found the property with ease as it is very rural and out of the way which we loved, remember there are no shops close by so get your essentials before arrival. We arrived and were greeted by Diana who gave us an overview of the property, the property was bright and clean with everything that was needed. The site has two other cabins and a field for touring caravans that holds up to 5 caravans, only two when we stayed. It was a lovely relaxing break and would definitely return and recommend to those who like the peace and quiet. Local pub about 10 mins drive that does nice food. Our first visit to Anglesey and loved the fact that this island is unspoilt, not too commercial and highly recommend getting the boat trip at Beaumaris to Puffin Island. A really enjoyable time was had, thank you.

We had 6 adults and 10 children (ages from 1-13) in our group so we booked all 3 lodges for our annual family get together. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming and the accommodation was spotless, warm and well equipt. The log burners were well stocked with wood and coal and we were told to just ask if we needed more. We were really lucky with the weather which meant we spent most of the time outside, eating, drinking and playing lots of ball games. We even took along our bouncy castle, which Diane was more than happy with. We all had such a great time, we're looking at booking again for September :)

My husband and I were looking for a last minute break away with our 4 children. We were being quoted anything between 300-600 pound for 2 nights away. By accident we came across this beautiful place. My husband and I have busy lives, we work full time and life is loud and crazy sometimes. This was tranquil, pretty and clean. You’re in almost untouched landscape, we relaxed and let our children play carefree. Our 2 1/2 year was able to play in the small field in front of us without any dangers and the two elder boys rode their bikes down the hill and joined in with the other children in next doors cabin and the owner pleasant grandchildren. Our baby girl crawled around very safely and happily and even stretched her legs onto the decking. We can’t wait to come back to this beautiful place for the bargain price. Showers were powerful and endless hot water, everything was spotless and loved the little bits of entertained provided. All the small things you might forget to take away, tea towel, washing liquid, tea coffee sugar when you’re dying for a brew, all there! The BEST thing about this place was the nest at the top of the lodge, the kids were so excited about sleeping up there. We let the little one think he was sleeping Up there but in reality he was a bit little, but amazing idea and he loved it too but we took him down and he slept in the Comfy pull out bed. Crystal clear beaches close by too. Can’t wait for a free date. stunning beaches close by and plenty to do when your ready to brave ‘people’ again. Owners are helpful, kind and considerate, very genuine, looking forward to seeing them again soon. Thanks again louise, Ian and the gang x
