I booked this quickly and after only reading one review. Usually I do more research but this time I was in a rush as our visit was the upcoming week. Slawomir responded very quickly and graciously gave us a discount as we were staying during low season (end of January). My husband met Chris, his brother, from the airport with no problem. Keys to both the apartment and the secure parking space around back were provided. One should note that the apartment is on the third floor - there are 64 steps (very wide) up to the apartment, so would not be good for anyone disabled (no elevator). We found the steps no problem and a good bit of exercise after all our delicious dinners! The apartment looked just as advertised. It is a spacious old building with very high (maybe 12 foot) ceilings. Wooden floors, a very modern kitchen with many appliances, seating for four. There are two couches, a flat screen TV and satellite. The satellite connection only had a few English channels besides news, but we made do. Many other languages - Hindi, Italian, German, Arabic, everything. Absolutely no issue with wi-fi - it worked great the whole time. (we have often had issues with wi-fi in other apartments but not this one!) The bedroom is also very spacious, and the double bed was quite comfortable. The bathroom was very modern, clean and the only issue was a slightly slow drain in the sink. Shower very nice and great hot water. There is also a washing machine in the bathroom. We had a nice six night stay here. The apartment is just off the main driving road, with Karmelicka street that goes straight into the old town square. It is about a ten minute walk to the center, and about another ten minutes so to the Wawel castle. Lots of restaurants on the street and a 24-hour small supermarket just a few minutes walk down the road. With this apartment we found our stay in Krakow to be delightful and would certainly stay here again!

It's about a fifteen minute walk to the main square in the old town. The apartment is newly renovated and very comfortable. The only drawback to the location is the tram line out front that shakes the building a bit and can even be felt in bed. The host is very accommodating and speaks good English. An enjoyable base of operations for seeing old Krakow. Washing machine was also new.

This apartment was a great value. It's very roomy - three large rooms, comfortable large bed, spacious bathroom. The location was only about a 15-20 minute walk from the central Town Square in Krakow, and the street on which it is located has plenty of shops including bakeries for breakfast goodies and grocery stores to stock the kitchen. The apartment had a microwave, dishwasher, electric tea kettle, coffee maker, full size fridge, washing machine, hair dryer, and free fast WiFi. Additionally, the gentlemen that met us to give us the keys and show us around left us complementary coffee, tea, sugar, bottled water and a couple of beers in the fridge. There is a bit of street noise, especially early morning and late night, but not more than you would expect in any city location. Overall, this place was spectacular, and we would definitely stay here again.

We spent a week here and really enjoyed it's location. It's 2 minutes from bus stop to airport, right by a tram stop, and only 10-15 minute walk to centre. Lots of small supermarkets, bread shops, etc. close by so very easy to self cater. The apartment is comfortable & warm, though fairly basic. Having said that, it has everything you need including wifi. It is just like the pictures! It's on a main road, and the trams do rock the bed, but doesn't matter. It's on 3rd floor, so you get fit walking up the stairs. Would definitely recommend if you want an apartment in Kraków. PS The Gestapo Museum is 5 minutes away, heading out of town - definitely worth visiting.

i really enjoyed that it was so close to the city and it was close to transportation. Cozy apartment with enough room for six. The owner was friendly and people are so nice and helpful around that area. I will be back again.

The apartment is modern, very spacious and comfortable with good amenities. The hosts, Christoph and Slawomir, were really friendly and accommodating. Anything we needed was provided promptly, and they were so helpful with luggage, tours, taxis, etc. They made our visit so much easier and more enjoyable. The flat is located about 10-15 minutes walk from Kraków Old Town. The street itself has all the services you need - stores, restaurants, banks, transit - just outside the door. The trams are a bit noisy at night, as the tracks are right outside the building, but we didn't notice it after the first night or so. We had a wonderful stay, would definitely go back!

I stayed in this apartment for a week with my wife and our 2 year old daughter. We enjoyed staying there as everything was very clean and neat. There are 2 small grocery stores in about 2 min walking distance and it takes around 10-12 min to walk to the old town (centrum). That walk is much fun as there are many shops and cafés on the way, Slawomir (the host) was very helpful. He helped us with our luggage to the apartment and even offered to come and help us carry the luggage to the taxi upon departure. I´d definitely stay there again if I were to visit Krakow again.

My partner and I stayed here for five hot days in August. Slawomir met us for check-in, despite the late hour, and was friendly, helpful and responsive in all our dealings. I had searched for ages to find a period property with some character - as most places seemed over-renovated or new. Slawomir's flat didn't disapoint - it's in a beautiful old building, with high ceilings, large rooms and lovely original features, including two Art Nouveau tiled room-stoves, Deco doors and panels, and a parquet wood floor. The flat is well equiped and comfortable, with helpful basics supplied (tea, coffee, sugar, oil etc). Other travellers report the shaking with passing trams, which is certainly noticeable, but didn't bother us much. The only reason we didn't give a full 5 stars is the heat/noise dilema. The weather was exceptionally hot when we were there and while there's a fan, we had to sleep with the windows closed due to traffic noise. The double-glazed windows are very effective at blocking the noise, though, and the little balcony was great for people-watching on the street below!

A very spacious apartment, full of everything you might need for your stay in Krakow. Sleeps 6, with 4 are on the 2 double sofa beds. Very clean and tidy, a short 10 minute walk from the city centre (main square) Kitchen excellently equipped even with water and beer..! Very kind indeed. The trams run past the block all the time. This didn't bother us at all but we can understand that it could be annoying. They start early in the morning and finish late at night - but it is worth remembering that this is a city break...not a countryside retreat. Perfect tram for getting home - especially from Schindler's factory. All in all, this is a perfect apartment for your visit. One thing not mentioned is the 64 steps up to front door. Really, they are no problem whatsoever but may well be for some with mobility problems. There is no lift. I would thoroughly recommend this apartment to anyone. It's a great city with plenty to do.

A lovely apartment with a nice mix of original and modern features, including a balcony. The location is about ten minutes steady walk straight down a single road to the edge of the historic central area. Once there, the main tourist attractions are within walking distance or you can pick up taxis easily. If you want to go further afield from the apartment, there is a tram route outside. That raises one slight issue: whilst there is double glazing, the trams start early and run quite late outside the bedroom window. It didn't bother us, but some guests might see it as an issue. The other thing to mention is that the apartment is up several flights of stairs and there is no lift. The owner of the apartment, Slawomir, is very helpful, always replies to messages and is otherwise easy to deal with. There are shops, including a 24 hour Spar (yes really) very close, but I don't think we ever ate in, finding that the prices even in the city centre restaurants were very cheap compared to the UK.
