Well maintained cottage in garden of the owners, where we were made to feel very welcome. You do need a car though, but Veronica was able to arrange this for us. We were offered the use of the washing machine, veggies and herbs from the garden and lots of local advise for best beaches and places to eat. Even Goldie the dog joined us for evening drinks. Altogether a lovely place to stay.

This is a such a unique spot with utterly spectacular sunset sea views from the large front deck, down over the lush green slopes. Our 10 day stay was just so restful, living the laid-back island life! Innisfree is third of the way up a volcano and the trade winds keep you refreshingly cool. I loved the sounds of monkeys chattering and wild donkeys braying in the distance. Despite planning on utilising the cottage's self catering facilities and lovely choice of herbs growing, we were lured into the many excellent places to eat on the island, from the Thai in the botanic gardens to the beachside Yachtsman grill with sumptuous lobster pizzas. Some stunningly beautiful old colonial plantations are an interesting walk from the cottages, with delicious lunches and rum punches. Ronnie and Brett were fantastic hosts and gave us excellent local recommendations. What a perfect place to re-charge! We really hope to return in the future and maybe even manage the volcano summit climb!

What an absolutely idyllic location, situated on the south western slopes of Mount Nevis this superb little cottage was cool clean and comfortable with breathtaking views over the Caribbean. Set in a tranquil garden we were fascinated by the variety of bird life and especially the charming little humming birds visiting the garden flowers. We would have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone who wants a little peace and quiet away from it all. Local restaurants right across the price range were all excellent, not a single bad experience in 10 days.

Myself and boyfriend stayed here over the New Year period for two glorious weeks. The property is perfectly formed and the hosts provide everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay and are both extremely welcoming and friendly. The surrounding area and views are breathtaking and with so much to see and do it is a wonderful place to come home to after busy days sightseeing. We both could not recommend this place enough and hope ourselves to be able to return soon enough.

My hubby and I stayed in the larger cottage for 3 nights. We thought the bed was comfy, the room was very clean and the front porch was nice. The grounds are very well landscaped and the area is more secluded. Veronica was pleasant to talk to. The only note is that the shower is very weak and the hot water wasn't extremely hot. This shouldn't detract from deciding to stay there as it wasn't a big deal. All in all, this is a nice location, clean and comfy place and a great price.

We stayed in one of the Innisfree cottages in February 2013. The cottage and its amenities fully lived up to the owner's description. Innisfree is located about half way up the mountain in a rural location at the end of a track, which like many of the roads on Nevis could have been better maintained. All the facilities in the cottage, although basic, worked well, including the wi-fi, and everything was very clean, tidy and pleasantly decorated. The cottage is situated in a lovely garden and Veronica and Brett kindly invited us to help ourselves to their homegrown salad, which we did! The views over the sea and surrounding countryside are truly spectacular and the gentle breeze at that altitude meant that the temperature was never oppressively hot. We hired a jeep from Mervin Powell who has his garage based at the end of the track - a 4WD is essential given the location of the cottage, a few miles outside Charleston. There are also some very good local walks from the cottage. Veronica advised us on the hire car and made numerous arrangements for our local transport and provided lots of local knowledge in a very efficient and friendly way. Veronica and Brett were excellent hosts and we very much enjoyed meeting them, and their son Nelson, and two dogs Daisey and Goldie, who greeted us like long lost friends each day!

Two very attractive intimate, but sufficiently roomy, well-equipped cottages on-site. The hosts provided excellent advice and support prior to arrival and were very hospitable and supportive on-site but not 'in-your-face'. (Hosts are also excellent chefs!). There are many country walks close-by. The only downside, although this may be an upside, is that the cottages are located up a steep hill on a poorly maintained road and quite a way from downtown, the beaches or a resort area. A rental car is essential. I enjoyed a wonderful quiet week at Innisfree Cottages.

Just like our experience of Nevis generally, this was a charming and relaxing place to stay, with great views. The hosts were unintrusive, but available if required to deal with any issues or to give advice. The property is high on the hillside, so gets plenty of refreshing breezes, and no need for anything other than nature's own air-conditioning. Amenities are pretty basic, but we had everything we needed in our short stay. And we loved Nevis ! Such a happy and friendly place.

This was the perfect place for us to celebrate our anniversary. Veronica was very helpful - answering all of our questions before we arrived and helping us set up transportation from St. Kitts to Nevis and our rental car. Once we arrived, the accommodations were wonderful. Very clean. The cottage is small, but it was all that we needed or wanted. From the gardener and maid to Veronica, everyone was very helpful and ready to answer questions. The gardens on the property are lovely to sit in - with views of the ocean, beautiful flowers. We were even able to pick fresh lettuce in the garden! Can't wait to go back!!
