Excellent accommodation - a true luxury villa. The staff were excellent & assisted with all requests to their abilities. Only downside was that it was a little out of town, but with it's own private beach, pool & tennis court, who cares?!

I had the occasion to celebrate a very special birthday at Villa Champagne two weeks ago. I invited 16 of my friends and family for 5 days. The Villa was absolutely perfect. Everyone retained their privacy and had enormous fun. On the Eve of the birthday the Villa was transformed into a scene from the Great Gatsby. Truly amazing. We hired a local band and had Fiona from Knivesedge to do the catering.. It was a very special time for us all; and the Villa was absolutely perfect for the occasion. Valerie the housekeeper and Jocelyn were amazing and I invited their families to join in the occasion for a special rendition of "Happy Birthday"

12 family members from all parts of Australia and 2 from the USA converged on this magical little piece of paradise from 19th - 26th July 2014. Got the WOW factor as soon as we arrived. We stayed for 4 days whereas the main party of the group stayed for the whole week. They are already planning to go back.
Big thanks to Valerie and Tracey for putting up with all of us. Tracey was the star attraction when fired up.
The weather was a bit mild on some days but everybody still enjoyed the pool, the tennis court and the beach. BBQ's most nights under the stars. Night crab spotting and beach fire really capped off a sensational holiday. All praise from all family members. No complaints here. Maintenance upkeep against the elements must be real challenge but considering actual location. 5 star effort.

My family & I stayed at the Villa for 9 wonderful days. Amazing grand old lady, made us feel a bit like Royalty. Awesome property even though a bit tired but considering the location right on the beach it would take a maintenance team 24/7 to keep it immaculate and pristine. There were 14 in my party and plenty of room for everyone to spread out and not be in each-others way unless they wanted to be. Really enjoyed the entire experience and having a fabulous restaurant next door was an even bigger bonus. Vanuatu has won my heart and i'll certainly be back. Thank you to Bryan and the team for looking after us, especially with the hire car being an SUV. A small car would not do well on those roads lol.

I travelled to Villa Champagne in July for a week with friends and family expecting luxury accommodation (as advertised) in a facility that offered everything we needed.
On arrival Villa Champagne looked everything that it was advertised to be - after this initial first impression everything was a just a massive disappointment!
The weather was fairly ordinary for the time we were in Vanuatu which forced us inside - the wind literally blew us back inside the house. You cant plan the weather but the house was advertised with enough facilities.
The TV didn't work (flashed on and off continually)and staff had no idea how to operate it - we couldn't use this facility for the whole period. The internet was so slow and with 6 teenagers in the house was hopeless.
The free use of the Toyota land cruiser - this vehicle was very old and quite frankly should not be offered to guests.
The hot water in the house was always running out and you had to plan to press the manual heat switch 1 hour before you wanted a shower. With 10 people in the house most were left with cold showers.
Kitchen - There are not even 2 wine glasses the same left in this house! It appeared to us that all that's left in the kitchen is left overs from years gone by. This is not luxury accommodation!!!
There weren't enough blankets in the house - weather was awful so kids wanted to be warm. After complaining a few times to the house staff the agent sent new blankets??
Tennis court hadn't been cleaned for a long time and was in a state of disrepair!
Cat - not sure why you would leave a cat in the house? It was so old and then got ill and we had to take it into town to the vet and collect it the next day.
We understood from staff that this house was on the market and the owners were not using it much anymore.
I was not going to write a negative review based on one visit as things can sometimes go wrong but all things considered this was a gross waste of money.
Sell it or do a major revamp!

My husband and I with our 3 kids along with 2 other families just spent a fabulous weeks holiday in Vanuatu staying at Villa Champagne. We loved everything about the house and had a really great vacation.
A very special thanks to Valerie who was wonderfully cheerful & helpful every day, and was always happy to oblige all our guests.
The access to the vehicle was excellent however we also arranged Seth in his bus to help transport everyone around the island on several day trips - definitely do this, as Seth is very punctual and trustworthy and goes out of his way to help you.
A special thank you to the "Bryans" who came over whenever we needed any minor adjustment/help ie. getting the TV to work.
Villa Champagne is a beautiful home and I would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of staying there.

The location of the villa is great and we loved Vanuatu basically though we were extremely disappointed in the Villa. The Villa would have been great at some stage in the past although we found every item to be tired from the car through to the furniture and fittings that a are largely broken. The car that was supplied which had a flat tyre ripped seats no petrol no air conditioning and a huge crack in the window. The agents organised a rental for 1/2 of our stay only. The staff consists of 1 housekeeper and I gardener. The housekeeper tried hard although a big job for 1 lady looking after 9 guests. Everyone seemed to be aware of the house's state around the island and the management company and the feedback was less then flattering. Wireless worked every other day and is not work quality. Not worth the money we spent.

This has to be one of the most amazing places to stay. The house and guest cottages are right on the beach facing the ocean. The beach is pure white and the sunsets cast pink shadows over the water, which are the prettiest I have ever seen. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday you will enjoy the pace of life here. Children can run free and grown ups can lounge around the private pool or pop next door for food at the Tamanu beach club. My hubby loves golf and so disappeared off with my brother for a few rounds at the resort next door. I am a wildlife lover and scuba diver, so was blown away by the sight of dugongs, giant turtles and teeming aquatic life. You really don't have to move far from the house to enjoy yourself, but Port Vila is a short drive away as are many island beauty spots. The accommodation was second to none, with spacious bedrooms with sea view balconies, a fully equipped kitchen and gorgeous open plan sitting room. I coudl not recommend this more highly - if you stay you will feel like a movie star.

The service was impeccable with Valerie and Willy taking great care of us including all our children. Valerie was lovely, Cynthia and Suzie were great with our toddlers and infants. They girls made you feel at home as soon as we walked in the door. I highly recommend you arrange a Chef and Fiona from Knifes Edge was fantastic. It was a great experience and very relaxing. Highly recommend.

I really liked the way the house was set and thought the pool was amazing. The hired help were all fabulous but it was very hot at night. I think air conditioning would be great for every room.

A beautiful location - a piece of your own paradise that you don't have to share with anyone. However, this property is severely neglected and in much need of some TLC!! The doors need a good coat of varnish to stop them from falling apart....the main house is not airconditioned and the lounge suite is mouldy. Being the tropics the mould is obvious throughout the smaller villas and can be smelt in the mattresses. There are two refrigerators in the main house but you are lucky if either one of them works. The house comes with a car but it too is desperately neglected.....you may be lucky to pick it up without a flat tyre but it won't go over 80km an hour unless you are going downhill.
The cooktop is a lovely 6 burner....however you are lucky if 2 of the gas burners work. You will also be treated to all the left over remnants of previous guests - and I'm not complaining about left over wine or beer, however left over shampoo, conditioner and soap used by others in the showers is not something I find endearing.
Transfers are not included so brace yourself for a 6,000 vatu transfer fee. Water in the cooler is also not included so bring your own bottled water. The bore water is safe to drink however isn't that palatable.
The main house is lovely and cool even in the most humid weather but if you open the doors/windows to take advantage of that lovely sea breeze you will be carried away by mosquitos and bugs (as is the norm for the tropics). You can also not turn on a lot of lights and the oven at night - it will result in power failure and a trek out to the shed to restore power to the house.....make sure you wear shoes as there are a few crabs that will be in your path!!
All in all it is a lovely property and with a good management team it will become an awesome 5 star home away from home. Just be ready to clean the crabs out of the pool every morning before you go swimming!! Also, let the management team know if you are allergic to cats - the house comes with a cat that isn't that friendly - it bit and scratched my son during our stay. Valerie works hard to make your stay comfortable and you will come home to find all your clothes unpacked and stored in cupboards.
If you aren't expecting 5 star luxury then you won't be disappointed.......this is a 3 star property with 5 star potential........ peace and quiet is ensured and the location is spectacular. The house looks majestic on your initial approach.....it's just once you are inside that you realise that looks can be deceiving. In saying all this though, I would stay here again as this seems to be the norm for Vanuautu.

We stayed at Villa Champagne with family and friends for my wifes birthday, the one and only slight problem is the 20 minute drive back to Port Vila, this place really is fantastic. We were lucky enough to have two maids for most of our stay, any clothes left around would be washed and ironed and put back in your room neatly when you returned after your day out, if you wanted a fire on the beach the groundsman would build it for you, you just have to buy the wood. The property comes with a 100 series VX Landcruiser which is an 8 seater included which makes up for the drive into Port Vila, the resort next door has wonderful meals and coffee, if you are looking for a great holiday rental for a group of up to 12 you can not go past this place I highly recommend it, a great place to relax or base for your exploring.

Found this place to be amazing, truly an awesome house and the setting was perfect. It is a little way from town and the road is quite 'rocky' however it doesn't detract from the overall feel. The house maids were excellent, knowledgeable and helpful. Our stay was during mid August and the weather was not the kindest, however this house more than made up for the inclement weather. There was plenty to do or not!!! Very peaceful relaxing villa.

Weather was perfect not to hot with a slight breeze + just the odd storm very lucky . 14 adults and so much room . This house is in the best location , 20 mins out of Port Villa on possibly the best beach on the island White Sands Beach . The main house opens onto a huge pool with bungalows to each end of the pool area . This area leads strait onto the beach where you can fish snorkel + swim ,a bit reefy to surf . Also included is a 12 seater bus which was great as you need a vehicle to get around the island , with the Blue Hole and many other beautiful beaches just down the road to swim + snorkel . Remember to check when the cruise boats are docked as these areas get quite busy ,we just chilled out around the house on these days . Get some Vanuatu beef + groceries then fruit + vegies from one of the many stalls along the roadside and there is no need to go into town , With Tamanu Restaurant next door serving first class meals and Ripples just 5 minutes down the road having a casual setting with quality meals at a reasonable price your dining is well covered . We also took over some breakfast cereal , biscuits , chips nibbles etc from home . Many thanks to Valarie our housekeeper who lives next door , was simply amazing and made us feel like she was part of our family . Special thanks to Willy Valaries husband for the fresh Lobsters he caught for us .Also the whole family came over to say goodbye . This was truly a memorable holiday . Many thanks Steve Julie + crew .

The setting on the beach is fabulous housekeeper Valerie and her husband Willy are enormous assets. Sadly several very important items are missing, no surround for the tennis court, little internet and on last two days none at all. The pool looked lovely but was too cold to use. Money needs to be spent on maintenance, there is a fabulous restaurant next door we enjoyed on two evenings, however quite expensive.

The arrival road would not win an award for smooth -- but the bumpy drive is very much worth the wait !! The Villa is hugely porportioned with 4 large to very large bedrooms in the main house + 1 smaller size ( still average size ) 2 x single bed room . There were 8 of us ( girls trip ) and it was great to be able to have a bedroom each - this included the 2 x very generous sized poolside cabanas ( 2 bedroom 1 bathroom ) which delightful Valerie the house keeper had made into double beds throughout . We hired a Yoga instructor , a beauty therapy company ( who set up inside a Cabana) & a private Chef - which meant after stocking up at the local supermache - we pretty much hung out at the house the whole time . Books , loungers , beach , etc . Whilst a bit tired in places & in need of modernising in a few ther places overall the Villa and its location is just divine . Right on the most gorgeous beach ( we did a plastic clean up on a couple of mornings just to do our bit to help keep it that way ) , the location and sound of the sea is just superb . The pool was refreshing with lilos & rings & the odd crab sunk to the bottom ! We ate outside every evening & there was always plenty of cocktail glasses , cutlery , plates etc - though you can never have too many of those . We dined a couple of times at The Tamanu next door - fabulous & also used the treatment rooms here too which were lovely . Overall our stay was bliss - ALL of our group thoroughly enjoyed it - with wonderful Valerie (& daughter/& son= who keeps the grounds immaculate & makes a mean fire pit on the beach !) to make your bed , do your dishes , sweep your floors & clean your clothes - how can you not enjoy it ! Only a couple of things I would add ; An icemaker fridge would be handy as would a better cocktail maker / blender ....we made so many we kept running out of ice !! Thanks to the generous owners too who let other folk enjoy this beachside haven . Cheers !

I stayed at Villa Champagne with 6 of my girlfriends in August for 10 days. The booking process through luxury Villas was very smooth as was the trip from beginning to end. The road in is rough but worth it. Having a van to use was great and the house and pool fantastic. Valerie and staff are the most beautiful people and kept the house spotless. The beach was lovely to walk along and safe. Next door is a hotel that has the best food and cocktails if you don’t want to cook. We headed out a did a few things but it was really lovely to just stay at the Villa
