This house is a must stay. We stayed here for two glorious weeks. The house was so conveniently located to anywhere on the island you wished to go. We enjoyed having our own home even if only for two weeks. Being able to sit out by the pool every morning and evening was a special treat. Location couldn't not be more perfect. Clint the owner was so easy to communicate with and a joy to get to know. He made our stay very relaxing. We most definitely wish we could have stayed for another two weeks. If you are looking for a house on this beautiful island this would be the one to stay in. We miss the house, island and it's wonderful people every day and hope to return very soon. Thanks Clint for a most memorable vacation!

My family and I just got back from our vacation. Rancho Azul exceeded my expectations. The home and it's amenities were so beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. Traveling with two small children (2 years old and 9 months old) is not always easy, however staying at Rancho Azul made our vacation effortless. The home offers so many conveniences. We were provided with everything we needed including a GPS that was waiting for us at our car rental place. Also, the house manager was always available to us, answering whatever question we had. The indoor/outdoor living that the home offers is just wonderful. While sitting on the back patio by the pool you can overlook the beautiful landscape. Also, right behind the house is a dirt road that leads to a beautiful view of the ocean. The home itself is on such a peaceful, quiet street, yet literally a 7 minute drive to the high rises and restaurants. Our stay at Rancho Azul was everything I had hoped for and more. We will definitely be returning!!

Loved Rancho Azul. The owners provided a GPS to our rental car so we didn't even have to worry about meeting them or finding the house. The Garmin lead us right there. There is a key pad to enter so it was easy and we didn't have to worry about getting there at any specific time. Well equipped. Great pool and outdoor eating area. We had 5 adults. Worked perfectly. There is an outdoor bathroom and shower that is very handy. So actually 3 baths. Kitchen had everything we need to make dinners at home and take lunch to the beach. Some extra beach towels would have been nice, but we managed. Great beaches are 5 minutes away including Palm Beach. Plenty of restaurants and shopping close by.

outstanding location! The back of the house is the gateway to the pure Aruba. Minutes walking distance from the northern shore, wild and amaizing. Well appointed kitchen, everything you need. Makes you feel at home right away. I loved the big window opening from the kitchen to the patio. Felt like a personal beach bar. Swiming pool is the right size and depth. And having a swiming pooll made the difference. Bedrooms very clean, very comfortable. The whole house was a delight, we rented a car and all of a suden we were so close to all the good beaches, the main hotels strip and so on. By the way the owners included in the rental a free GPS. Smart thinking. But the rancho is like a resort on its own, having everything we needed it to feel relaxed. The barbeque was clean and we put it to good and intensive use. The outdoor bathroom made a lot of sense and we loved it. All in all, a perfect spot to recharge , and if you feel like going out and have fun, everything is close by.

Our family of 4 stayed at Rancho Azul from July 22-August 1, 2014. 2 teenagers and 2 adults. We loved the house and especially the pool. The current owners of this property aquired it in April of 2014. We were provided with a GPS for our rental car at no cost by the owners, with Rancho Azul programmed as "Home". As this was our first visit to Aruba, it proved invaluable in helping us to get to the house when we arrived in Aruba, and getting around the island. The pool was cleaned twice while we were there, and is in great shape, with multi colored lights for night time enjoyment. As stated in previous reviews, during the day with the windows closed the house gets hot. We would just open the windows when we got home, and as there is always a good breeze blowing the air circulation would cool down quickly, but we didn't really spend much time sitting inside. If we were at the house we were outside or getting ready to go somewhere. The bedroom air conditioners were quick to cooldown the bedrooms, with the smallest bedroom with the smallest air conditioner having the hardest time cooling it down, but it would do the job after a few hours. The washer/dryer are new, and worked great. The stainless steel refridgerator was fine. The dishwasher is older, but again it worked fine. The outdoor grill was outstanding, as it was fairly new and in great shape. The 4 burner gas stove in kitchen has a movable cast iron rectangular skillet where we did some cooking also. The pictures on the website are a little outdated, the canvas shade hooked to 4 posts is now a pergola with no shade. There is a small rental cottage next to the Rancho Azul property, but it is seperated by the house and a fence when out at pool, and we never noticed it. The outside shower and bathroom were nice to have. When we had to call the management company about a window problem we had, they were very quick to respond, and their property caretaker (Stewart) was very helpful, both with the house and with island information. The Wi-Fi was a little underpowered, perhaps a stronger router would help get the signal farther from the Master Bedroom where it was located, along with a PC for guest use. We liked the location, which really is just minutes from the high rise area, but out in the country. The house has a security system, but we never used it. We felt very safe, and the house is in a nice, normal development. We were visited several times by 2 little Jack Russell terriers, who live on the same street. The had no interest in us, but Rancho Azul seemed to be on their itinerary every other day or so. Access to the nature area/dirt roads is about 3 houses down from the house. There is brush and scrub bushes behind the house so that people coming by on horses, ATV. SUV, and even some bikes, aren't staring at you by the pool as they go by. The only ding I have for the property is the gas hot water heater, which is outside, and which I had to relight several times. To sum it all up, we would definately recommend Rancho Azul, and we will certainly stay there again on our next visit.

Beautiful home with a great pool and outdoor seating area. The pictures are exactly what it actually looks like. Conveniently located near the resorts and beaches. Right on the edge of the undeveloped area of the island and the view from the pool is fantastic. I would recommend renting a four wheel drive vehicle as you can actually drive around behind the house and you are immediately on the trails that go through the undeveloped area. Our teenage girls loved spending the day at the beach and then coming back to the pool to relax and unwind.

My husband and I with our 22 months old daughter stayed at Clint's house for a week and we are so glad we did! The house is absolutely beautiful with a very open floor plan, beautiful outdoor pool area and everything you need to feel at home. It has all the basic amenities like WiFi, lots of utensils in the kitchen, washer-dryer, TV/DVD, beach chairs and towels, crib and high chair for a baby etc to name a few. The location is perfect - very close to the high rise hotel area yet far enough to be away from all the traffic. Two minutes from the house is a hill with some of the most amazing views of the water - perfect place to enjoy your morning cup of coffee :) Clint was always a phone call away. We didn't rent a Jeep (had a Toyota Yaris instead) but wanted to see the Natural Pool and Gold Mines and he gave us these perfect step by step directions that no Google map knows. Eagle Beach and Palm Beach are only 5 minutes drive from the house. We had a wonderful stay at Rancho azul and will definitely rent it again when we visit aruba!

We just returned from 18 glorious days at Rancho azul and we can't say enough about this home. It has everything you need for a family vacation. We honeymooned in aruba in 1999 and well, 14 years and two children later we ruturned (along with our nanny, one mother-in-law, and one aunt) and decided to rent a home. The layout of the home along with the outdoor pool area was absolutely wonderful. We never felt crowded in the home and the island breeze in the main living area is so relaxing. Clint has made sure everything a family would need is in the home at your fingertips. There were plenty of bath & beach towels, linens, utensils, dishes, pool & beach toys/floats and if you needed something Clint was only a phone call away. The home itself is convenient to the best beaches (Arashi and Malmock), grocery stores (our favorite was Ling and Sons), and quick lunch spots (favorites: Daily Fish, Linda's Pancake House, Palm Beach Refreshments). We rented a minivan for our entire stay but we also rented a jeep for 4 days too. This allowed us to visit the Natural Pool several mornings( The Natural Pool is only 25-30 from the house). Behind the house over a small hill you can enjoy the sunset along with the sound of breaking waves. We did this several evenings then finished off the night with a drink and dip in the fabulous pool at night. Anything we wanted to do (horseback riding, parasailing) we just zipped up to the Marriott (literally a 5 minute ride from the house) and they would pick us up there or the activity would be in front of the hotel. The butterfly farm is only 5-10 minutes from the home too. If you needed something but didn't want to go all the way to Ling and Sons there was a great little store off the round-a-bout in front of the Marriott. Our favorite dining spots in the evening were Barefoot, Yemanga, Zeerovers, and La Trattoria at the Lighthouse. Overall, Clint and Shakira have done a slpendid job creating a magical place for folks like us to enjoy.

As I sit here on the outdoor couch on the patio with a glass of wine, I though this would be a great opportunity to write my review. First off, Clint is a great host. He met us on our second day in aruba to bring us to rancho azul. The house is super clean and the pictures do not do this place justice. The bedrooms are gorgeous and spacious. The pool is amazing and the view is even better. Rancho is close to all a emenities....close to palm beach angle eagle beach. Everything you need for a family retreat is here at rancho. I will never travel all inclusive again. Foxy, the neighbourhood dog has been with us every day, so treat her well. We have discovered that she is a picky eater....liking only hotdogs...not cooked and no dog treats! Lol! We travelled with 4 adults and 2 children undzer the age of 5. Clint has everything you will need to enjoh the beach. Chairs, toys, beach towels, etc. If you plan on visiting aruba book rancho azul! It will not disapoint! Thanks clint! We are having a great time!

We - 2 adults and four kids unter the age of 10 - spent a wonderful week at Rancho Azul. The house is the second last in a street with nice houses, but we hardly noticed the neighbor house as it was so little and hidden. Clint picked us up from the airport which was very helpful! Thanks again, Clint! The house is very bright and the furniture is rustic colonial style and very tasteful. It's not brandnew anymore which made us even more comfortable as we didn't have to be too stressed with our little kids. The house gets very hot during the day but the excellent air condition in the 3 bedrooms made the nights very comfortable. Highlight is the pool/lounge area with the hammock, deck chairs and beautiful plants and arrangements. The patio is so private and the path behind the house is hardly used. Now end then horseback-riders, bikers and a few tourists with jeeps passed by. It's very quiet. In the evening when the kids slept we looked at the sky and enjoyed the stars and the moon, the nightlights in the pool were very romantic. Twice per week someone came to clean the pool. Clint was very helpful to organize a travel cod for our son and exchanged a few broken bulbs of light fixtures. Eagle Beach, Palm Beach and Arachi Beach with lighthouse in the background are only a 5 Min. drive away. Arachi Beach was our favorite as there are many locals and not only tourists. The next big supermarket is about 10 min away, however there is another little one 2 minutes away (which wasn't that helpful really). I didn't give 5 stars because of the kitchen equipment which doesn't meet the standard of the house as we didn't have enough silverware and the pots & pans were really old. We informed Clint about this and he was going to take care of this. Some of the blinds don't open anymore, so we had to improvise here and there which wasn't really a big issue at all. We told Clint about this issue, too. We had a wonderful time and we would definately book this rental again the next time on Aruba and recommend it to friends.

We really enjoyed our holiday at Clints wonderful house - everything was even nicer than in the pictures. He picked us up at the airport and drove with us to the house, which was nice and clean. The pool area is georgeus. We spent almost all our time in the garden by the pool or in the hammock. The great gas grill was used about every night. There is nice walk to the beach - but no swimming here. Other beautiful beaches can by reached by car in only five minutes. We can only recommend Clint's house to everyone.

Myself my wife and our three adult children stayed at Rancho azul in mid January. The place is wonderful. With three bedrooms two baths it was perfect for a family or a group of friends. The property itself is wonderfully located away from the hotel strip but within easy distance. Clint the owner was very helpful. He met us at the airport to guide us and answer any questions we had. I highly recomend this property and would definately stay there again.

We have a great time in aruba. Rancho azul is a great location, the house is very clean and for 6 people is a good stay. Neat garden. The pool is also lovely. The location is very nice and it is also very quiet. You need a car. Clint (the owner) is a nice man who was also very helpful. Thanks Clint!

We had an excellent stay at Rancho azul. Clint met us at the car rental and we followed him out to the house--very helpful. Upon arrival, the house truly is as pictured-bright, fun, and welcoming. Aruba was continuously very hot but the breeze always went through the house with windows open. A/C was in each of the bedrooms, and both the showers were larger than expected. Many social lizards outside but they were pretty shy to us. There's another little green house right behind it that is also listed on Tripadvisor. Azul was much better. I would highly recommend this house over a hotel depending on the person you are. My wife and I are pretty self-sufficient and enjoyed having a full kitchen, our own private pool, hammock, and lots of space. There were beach chairs, towels, and an umbrella--things you would otherwise have to rent. I only wish he had snorkel equipment there as it's very close to the Malmok beach area (Boca Catalina)--where all the snorkel tours go. It's beautiful and like a swimming pool in the crystal clear ocean. Though smaller, it was easily our favorite beach of the island. One thing we found was that highway 1 was generally faster and less confusing than highway 2. It's a prettier drive and you can follow the beach most of the way to downtown. The north side of the island was definitely the better side. The north shore was also beautiful, though rocky and a lot of desert. We would recommend La Trattoria (italian restaurant at the lighthouse). It's the only restaurant in that area and sits high so you have a panoramic view of the island. Remember that the island is hot. We much preferred the beach and water activities (learning to sail a hobie cat, snorkeling, parasailing) over any other activity (ATV, horseback, biking, jeep tours, etc.) because it was so hot and dusty. And we wouldn't recommend a wave runner because the wind creates such large wakes in the ocean (tons of salt water in your face). Had a great time and would recommend.

The house was very nice--just as advertised. Clint met us at rental agency and we followed him to the house. That was wonderful. He was very thorough to show us all the amenities and to show us how to make everything work. Each bedroom had its own a/c. The rest of the house was not a/c. We left the house during the day because it was too hot. In the evening, opened the windows and it helped cool the living room/kitchen while I cooked dinner. We liked the location--in a neighborhood. Would highly recommend Rancho azul.

We had a great vacation in Aruba! Rancho Azul -- the property was perfect for our family of four. The nature preserve behind the property really added to the charm of the house. The inside was spotless and spacious but our favorite "room" was the backyard. Thanks Clint and Shakira! Looking forward to returning next year!

We have just returned from our amazing trip to Aruba. We've booked Rancho Azul about 4 months ago, and could hardly wait. The villa exceeded our expectations... As soon as we arrived in Aruba and went to get our rental car, Clint, the owner, came to say hello and to take us to the villa. It was probably a 15 minute drive from the airport, and it's pretty much a drive on a main road, with a few turns at the end. As we arrived at the villa we were completely awed. It's much bigger in real life than the pictures suggested, very blue (on the outside), with such rugged beauty all around... Inside it's very clean, smells nice, all the windows open to a wonderful and very welcome breeze, and all bedrooms have air conditioning (we've only needed to use it at night). The kitchen is well equipped, including a dishwasher which made cleanups easier, we also loved the gas stove! The living room area is very comfortable, the beds are too. The washrooms are good size, and have hot water, which was practically not used by us, as the cooler water was a nice relief. The pool area is like taken from a movie. Cacti all around, a few palms, nice loungers with cushions, two good sitting areas and a dining table with chairs made us spend most of our time outside there (aside from traveling around the island!). The pool is clean and pool floats are provided. It's everything you need from a vacation rental. If you come with young children, keep in mind that there is no shallow area in the pool. It's probably about 4 feet at the "shallow" end, and about 5 or so at the deep end. There are a number of lizards "living" in the backyard, but they are very small, and afraid of people. In my opinion they are adorable, but if you're afraid of reptiles, they shouldn't really bother you much, as they won't come close to a human. The villa is also equipped with a laundry room (we found the washer very convenient, but we've dried our things outside on a drying rack provided), and a number of additional equipment, such as beach chairs, beach umbrella (mind you that with the Aruban wind we didn't find much use for it), a crib (ask about a mattress, because I didn't pay attention to whether it was there), and coolers for food/drinks. There were also an iPod dock provided, a computer with Internet, as well as a free Wi-Fi connection for phones, laptops and iPads. Traveling with teens we found those extremely useful! We've also encountered some mosquitoes in the evenings (nothing like Algonquin Park in Ontario, but itchy little buggers), so bringing some repellent is a good idea. We were told that neither mosquitoes nor any other bugs carry diseases in Aruba, so no worries about that. Overall, Rancho Azul is an absolutely perfect place to spend your vacation in Aruba. It's located in a beautiful wild area (you will see some horseback riding and occasional jeeps driving by in the back, but those only occur twice in a day), very close to the high rise hotels, restaurants, shopping and stunning beaches. Clint was very helpful and welcoming, as well as ready to answer any questions or concerns we might have had throughout our stay.

Big Thumbs up! for Rancho azul. I stayed there with two kids, aged 5 and 8, we all had a great time. Having the private yard and pool was the best. The location made us feel like we lived on the island. Nice and remote, yet only 10 minutes to arashi Beach, or the Palm Beach casinos and hotels. It is tough to find at first, so Clint will meet you your first day at the airport. He is a very gracious host with a personal touch. The pool does not have a shallow end, so you must keep an eye on younger children depending on their age and swim level. We will be back.

My husband and I stayed at Rancho azul from 10/6/11 to 10/13/11 and had a wonderful time. We have been vacationing in aruba every year for the past 10 years and this trip was one of the best. Staying at Rancho azul was a great experience because you felt like you had your own private resort. The home is large and very inviting. We spent most of our time outdoors. The space has everything you need, a pool, hammock, outdoor shower...and the view is amazing. The house is in a very private setting and you do need a car, but can get to anywhere you want to go very easily. Clint, the owner was very friendly and we hope to see him and Rancho azul again very soon. The Westwaters Massachusetts USa

Outstanding vacation rental. Very relaxing, great location about 5 minutes to Palm, Arashi and Malmok beaches and the sand dunes of the north shore. House had plenty of room and was furnished with everything you needed. We loved the privacy and the fact that the house backed to the nature preserve. We enjoyed watching the sunset and the afternoon skydivers. The pool area was fabulous, we will miss drinking our coffee while relaxing on the deck and in the pool. Clint, the owner, was awesome and very accomodating from the moment he met us at the airport Budget Rental Car. We would recommend Rancho azul to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation spot whether with or without children the house was great with a great location. Definitely rent a car, jeep or 4X4. Its very easy to drive around the island. We felt very at home at Rancho azul and we look forward to our future visit to Rancho azul and aruba. Thanks Clint!!!

This rental was everything we wanted as it was like being in our own home away from home. It was clean and had all the amenities you needed as well as having your own private backyard with a pool you could use at any time of the day or night. We loved staying here as it was the ultimate in relaxation and privacy, but close enough to drive to anywhere you would like to go. At the back of the house was a road to either hike, bicycle, horseback ride, or take your 4x4 vehicle (make sure you have a 4x4) to explore the rugged side of the island. There are casinos, restaurants, etc within 5 minutes. drive from the house. All the people are happy and very helpful. Clint was always available if you needed any help with anything. We wish our stay had been longer, but we will be back hopefully next year to have another fun time in aruba. We did go to DePalm Island where we did the Sea Trek underwater helmet walk and that was such a blast, we would recommend that to do also. Some of the restaurants we would recommend are the Chalet Suisse, Buccaneer, and for a lunch Bingo restaurant & Bar as a very local place for fun and food. Don't go to the Bavaria German Restaurant as we thought the food was bland and wouldn't go back there again. Wacky Wahoo's was another place we wanted to go, but be prepared to wait in line. Will have to try and go there next time we are in aruba. All in all, we had the best time in aruba as this was probably our 6th or 7th time there. Can hardly wait to go back again. We will definitely recommend the Rancho azul to stay whether you are married, with children, retired or single. You will love this place and the owner, Clint. We love aruba.

My wife and I had a great time at Rancho azul. It is the perfect alternative to the busy hotel district. House is located at the end of a cul de sac and at the beginning of a nature preserve. Very quiet and peaceful area. Ocassional horse or jeep driving by in the back on the trail. 2 min drive at most to the high rise hotel disctrict. House inside was nicely furnished. All photos on webiste were accurate and look even better in person. We had a wonderful time and would return in the future.

Well, where to begin, I was with my wife and family (total of 5 persons) for 1 week on aruba. Through this site we came to know about Rancho azul and booked this as our stay on aruba. Before we had our trip we were truly impressed by the pictures of Rancho azul, but guys, when we arrived there we couldn't believe our eyes...the place is mezmerising! It's just like a fiction. The house is very beautiful and also it's surroundings. We just didn't want to go anywhere else once we we're at Rancho azul. It's quiet, cool, borders with the nature. Everything was so clean and neat. In short, this place can't be discribed in words, it's too beautiful. And Clint, our host, well... he's a cool guy. From the moment we met him at the airport he was supportive and very kind and friendly. Every time we needed him, he was there for us. He will be remembered not only as our host, but as our best friend from aruba. You will need a car to get around, but it isn't far from anything. With your rental car you can reach great restaurants and supermarkets in 3 minutes and the city in less then 10 minutes. A 4x4 is recommended, not to reach Rancho azul, but to explore the dirt and rocky offroads behind Rancho azul. Next time and the time after that and the one after that... when we are in aruba, Rancho azul will be definetely our stay on aruba. To Clint, my friend, thanks for everything, keep up the good work and we hope to see you very soon... Amit & Sharina

My husband and I just returned from spending a week at Rancho azul. This was our first trip to aruba and we were so pleased that we found this property and were able to book our vacation there. The owner, Clint, met us at the car rental office and was always immediately available for any questions. The house itself is very clean with comfortable and quiet sleeping areas and a full kitchen. The pool area was perfect! We loved hiking or driving to the northern shore behind the house in the morning then hitting the pool before heading to the beach. We also swam after returning from the beach and late at night while star gazing. The home is located at the end of a development and borders a protected natural area. There is a dirt road behind the property which a few jeeps and horses use, but all in all, the home was very private. The view behind the house is beautiful, and you only need to hike a short distance before you are able to view both shores. Our favorite activities were renting a Jeep and touring the northern shore and the Natural Pool (very rough terrain but very cool), snorkeling the nearby beaches (Boca Catalina and Malmok were favorites), sailing/snorkeling on the Tranquilo, watching the sunsets on the shore by the lighthouse, having dinner at restaurants on the water, and eating pancakes at Lynda's Pancake House--to name a few... It was a great week, and we would love to return to aruba and to Rancho azul someday.

Where to start?!?! This was the first time we have rented a house in aruba. We were a little hesitant about a private house rental. Clint, the owner, made this process very easy. He not only led us to the house but also waited while we filled up our car! Once we arrived at the house, we were so impressed with the property. It is a really nice place that has everything you'll need to have a nice day laying around at the pool or a fun day at the beach. I have never had such a relaxing vacation - it is so quiet and peaceful! The beds were comfy and the bedrooms stayed nice and cool. The house was so roomy with lots of space for everyone on the couches. We did not feel like we were running into each other all the time. Even the covered deck had big couches, a hammock, and a big table. The house was perfectly designed. Clint was very helpful in suggesting restaurants and answering all our questions. We are so glad we found this place!

We had been to aruba once before and couldn't wait to get back. We wanted a different experience - a house, away from the hustle and bustle of hotels. We found Rancho azul via a web search of "Aruba house rental". There are a number of houses but Rancho azul seemed to fit our desires - multiple bedrooms, pool and "away from it all" environment. The pictures on the website are accurate. And the reality of Rancho azul is so much more than the pictures. Beautiful vistas, quiet, calm atmosphere, privacy yet not "shut off" from the world. The house is well kept, wonderfully laid out. While the house is tucked away its an easy drive to the beaches on the west side - Moomba Beach was great for relaxing, swimming. The bar & restaurant were great for lunch and dinner. Any of the small markets along the 2a/2B road were adequate for our food needs. Access to the rugged east side of the island is a snap. Its a nice walk to go straight east from house. There's a small rise about 200m east of the house. From the top you can see both horizons. We watched sunrises and sunsets from there. We took the camp chairs from the house, a cooler and made a party of it a few times. The house has what you need for a week or two of vacation - camp chairs, coolers, internet, cable, phone. We always felt safe at the house and on the island. The house has a security system as well as door/window locks. For transportation a 4WD is recommended. You can access some of the east shore without 4WD but there are some nasty spots. Julia, Martijn and Clint were always there to answer questions, assist with dinner reservations or recommendations, car rental and simple questions like - where can we buy fresh fish. We stayed for two weeks - very happy that we did. We will return to aruba and Rancho azul. If you're the kind of traveler who's willing to explore, be responsible for yourself, relax with others in a quiet, small groups or by yourself - then Rancho azul is for you.

The home is situated on the rugged north coast, but close to everything. The house is beautiful, the surroundings are beautiful, the people are beautiful. My brother and I had a wonderful time exploring all over aruba. The road behind the house leads right to the north shore with amazing views of the sunrise. The beach is a short drive away, but no so close there is traffic. Rent a jeep if you can afford it. You can go pretty much everywhere the locals go and don't be afraid to say hello. Aruba's motto on their car tag is "One Happy Island". Here's to hoping you arrive happy and leave even happier! Cheers to Julia and Martijn. They are so kind and next time I visit, I'm going to cook them a great dinner, Oklahoma style. Robert & Frank Miller The Miller Brothers from Tulsa, Oklahoma.

My family was most fortunate to have found Rancho azul and Julia on the internet. Everything was as advertised, so clean and comfortable. We had some trouble with the airlines and our arrival was staggered as a result. Julia helped enormously when Thrifty did not honor our car rental reservations by helping us get a car elsewhere. That would have been a disaster as there are 6 of us and a car is necessary for seeing the island. Julia also arranged dinner reservations for New Years Eve at a fantastic restaurant on the water called Marandi. It was magical! The house is located on the edge of a beautiful park where we rode mountain bikes every morning. At our request Julia had the rental bikes arranged and delivered. It was so easy. Our first day riding we crested the first small hill and immediately got a breathtaking view of the unpopulated side of the island. The ocean was wild and so dramatic! The breeze was constant and kept it from being too hot to ride. Returning to the house we would have breakfast by the refreshing pool and plan our explorations for the day. The populated beaches near the high rise hotels, a massage at a low rise resort, the beautiful beaches towards the California lighthouse, snorkeling the southern beaches...We stayed around a week and loved every minute of it. Thank you Julia.

Our stay here was wonderful. This 3 bedroom home is very spacious. It was great to be able to retreat to the peace and quietness of Rancho azul. Some days we hardly left the house. The pool area is beautiful and we felt in the middle of arubas nature. The owner is a pleasure to deal with and is very helpful. We would definitely recommend Rancho azul.

We just came back from an unforgettable stay at rancho azul, The house looked even better than promised in the pictures. Very clean and complete. We just couldn't get enough of the pool area and the patio where we felt like we were the only ones on the island. We can't wait to smell the BBQ going again while hanging by the pool. Although it didn't feel like it, still it took us only a few minutes driving to the tourist strip with many restaurants, stores and movie theaters. My kids had a wonderful time mountain biking and hiking in the area behind the house. It was definitely one of our best vacations ever and believe me, we will absolutely be back next year . Ayo :-)

I stayed at Rancho Azul for last two weeks. I have rented many vacation homes in the past and by far this one was the best. Can't say enough about this place! The house has everything one needs for a great stay. You literally just need to bring your suitcases. The house is well located and very quiet. Enjoyed my morning coffee on the patio. I will gladly rent this house again my next time in Aruba.

Rancho Azul is possibly one of the best rentals we had. Other reviewers have described how welcoming, comfortable, well equipped, and conveniently located this house is. I found it all true. I feel we are now part of a little community that enjoyed and appreciate this vacation gem. It has everything we needed: plenty of beach towels, coolers, beach toys, two boogie boards, and some masks and snorkels (if you want quality equipment, bring your own). Having a pool is a relief after a day at the beach (our daughters, 10 and 11, where the most enthusiastic users) and the patio always gives shade and protection from the wind while letting through just the right amount of breeze. The house is very quiet, with comfortable beds, and a silent remote controlled air conditioner in every room. There is an internet wireless modem in the master bedroom and that is where the signal is stronger. The owners have a Garmin GPS for guests' use. It was useful to get us to the house from the airport but we found, for our excursions, using Google maps with the GPS in our phones was much more accurate. The manager Danny was always available for any questions we had and we felt we were well taken care of. There is an unpaved road behind the house that follows the north coast all the way to a small natural bridge. It is a spectacular drive and we were glad to have rented a Jeep. You can also walk from the house and enjoy the view of the ocean in a short time. I loved being so close to the wild part of Aruba and at the same time being able to reach the resorts area in just a few minutes by car. We will undoubtedly return.

Where to begin... My wife and I for years now tend to rent homes as opposed to the stuffy hotel rooms where we can have our own space, privacy and tranquility. Rancho Azul was perfect for all of those reasons. We were traveling with our young daughter (15 months) so we wanted a place where she could have to her own, and Rancho Azul gave her just that - It's quite large inside and outside. Not only did we need space for her, but we also needed a place for her to sleep as well as a high chair. When we arrived to pick up our car rental at the airport, Stuart (property manager) greeted us to give us a GPS to use for the week - and it was used heavily. Prior to our arrival we were also sent an email offering us to send a shopping list if we were coming in late so that we had food at the house. We didn't need that service, but it was a great idea if we did. Stuart had arranged to deliver a pack and play so our little one could sleep and the high chair was already at the house. When we arrived, the house was super clean and welcoming. The kitchen was more than adequate (stove, oven, toaster, coffee maker, etc), the master bedroom was huge (all rooms have beamed high ceilings), and the backyard was just awesome. On the other side of the fence in the backyard is a jeep road that leads to the dirt trails on the NE side of the island. As a runner, I was able to go right out back and have an amazing run to the ocean and then all the way to the lighthouse at the northern point of the island. You can get to the ocean in a short half-mile on foot. The photos represent the property very well. There is no central AC, but opening the windows really brings in a great breeze. The bedrooms are very comfortably air conditioned. If you're looking for a quality place to stay in Aruba, I couldn't recommend this place more. We actually left our daughter's blanket there by accident and the owner is having it shipped back to us as well. Top notch rental and service!

We were a party of five and stayed for 5 days at Rancho Azul. First of all, the communication with Simona was great, very helpful, informative and fast and easy. She even managed that we get a gps at our car rental station at the airport. This was very helpful during our stay. The Rancho itself is great. The surrounding nature is really beautiful and although it is a "bit out of town" we felt safe every minute. The neighbors were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we had two power failures during our stay and they gave us a kerosene lamp and shared the news with us. When the first power failure happend Mark came immediately by and told us that the whole island were without power. We didn't spend a lot of time inside the house but the house is wonderful. We loved to sit and eat outside, using the barbeque, the pool and the outdoor shower. Most of the time we opened the entrance door and the back door (as all neighbors did) to got the air moving. In the bedrooms the air conditions did a good job. The house is well equipped, we could use a lot of stuff for the beach, especially the big cooler. We even could check out later and appreciate that very much. We would definitely come back and can recommend Rancho Azul.

Rancho Azul is, on first glance, quite beautiful. I agree with the other reviews on that. The folks handling the property were, for the most part, responsive. But, there were too many problems with this house. First, we had to call to find out the internet password. No big problem. The second day, the propane cylinder ran out of fuel, so we could not barbecue as planned. (That night, a full canister of propane was dropped off.) One disrupted dinner. Then the security lights outside the bedrooms burned all night and there was insufficient window covering to keep this from affecting our sleep. The managers told us there was nothing they could do about that. Big Problem. Then the electricity went out in part of the house. To Stuart's (one of the property managers) everlasting credit, he came over on Christmas day and waited till the electrician arrived. Problem was, the electrician could not completely fix the electricity and we were left without lights in the courtyard with the swimming pool. That meant we could not completely use the lovely courtyard at night. There were two showers in the house, but one of them sprung a leak. Stuart did a partial fix and promised to completely repair the shower, but that didn't happen, so for the last four (of seven) days we made due with one shower. The coffee maker stopped working the last two days, probably because of the power surge when the lights went out. Then the hot water stopped working the final day. I like the place, but it needs a lot of TLC on the small things that make a vacation trouble-free. I am ambivalent about recommending it, but overall, it was a positive experience.

We absolutely loved Aruba and our stay at Rancho Azul. We traveled with our 2 young children (ages 2 and 3) and this home was perfect for us. One level living allowed us to not worry about stairs and the pool door had a child safety lock that really helped to put me at ease immediately. The home was well equipped and had even more than I expected for the kids - very nice child life vests (we had brought our own), pool floats, beach toys, child plates, cups, forks, etc in the kitchen and some other toddler toys. The home itself also had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay - plenty of towels for both the beach and shower, kitchen was well appointed, beds were comfortable, wifi, grill, great pool and outdoor sitting areas, cable TV, etc. One of our favorite features were the nature paths behind the house. We drove our SUV through the trails daily to get the kids to nap. The trails are easy to drive and lead to the lighthouse on the northern coast. You can catch the main road there and drive back to the house. We look forward to returning and biking those trails when the kids are older! Simona and the mgmt company were great to work with. We had a GPS waiting for us at our car rental office and all of our questions were answered immediately and thoroughly. They we very friendly and professional. Aruba is everything we hoped for and more. We traveled from Boston and it was a 4.5 hour direct flight. The weather was absolutely perfect, the people were friendly, we felt very safe at all times, the prices were reasonable and there was a lot to do for young children - I recommend Palm Island and the Semi Submarine boat tour. We will definitely be back and hope to stay at Rancho Azul again!!

My parents, my husband and I had a wonderful ten day stay at Rancho Azul. It's located a short drive from the Hotel Zone and yet secluded in a court de sac of a quite residential neighborhood. However, there's a path right behind the house where horseback riders, 4 wheel drivers, etc that pass by scattered throughout the day. But it wasn't an issue since they usually don't even notice us when we're in the backyard. We didn't meet the management but they were very responsive. The best part for us was the GPS because we would have been so lost without it since most of the street are unmarked. The house is spacious and clean. The house is also well equipped with beach chairs and other things that can be found in the little room next to the kitchen. The only drawback is the lack of AC in the living room/kitchen area. Yes, as mentioned by other guests that if you open all the windows, it's usually pretty breezy. But the wind do not hit the cooking area in the kitchen and it can pretty soon feel like you're in a hot, steamy sauna. There were also times when there were no wind. This forced us to eat outside and hang out in the backyard most of the time. However, it's not very brightly lit since we like to play card games to pass the time instead of watching TV so it was a bit of an issue.
