Stayed for 10 nights with family and friends. Location was beautiful and house was great. Fresh flowers and fruit on arrival. Very clean and Wendy and Asnet (housekeepers) as well as Tom the gardner did a great job looking after us. A couple of little maintenance issues, eg fly screen on bungalow didn't close properly and satellite on television not working but small in comparison to wonderful holiday we had. House had everything you could need for a comfortable relaxing holiday. Reading my book in the hammock was wonderful! Having use of the four wheel drive was handy for shopping. The pool was fully fenced which was great as we had a toddler. There were 10 of us do we used local driver Seth to show us around (recommended by owner). He also did airport transfers. A great holiday.

on my return visit to casa der ma,with my family 7 adults 2 children ,we had a fantastic time at this fabulous property, regretted not bringing my surf casting rod as I reckon the fishing off the beach would be great, would recommend dining at tamanu [next door]and ripples a couple of kms down the road, both excellent.enjoyed the blue lagoon and zip lining was awesome, turtle sanctuary best at high tide and you need cash ,le lagoon great place to take kids for swim and lunch ,also iriki and hideaway worth visiting, the weather was superb as was casa der ma enjoy.

We stayed at Casa de Mar for 9 nights with 5 adults and 5 children (aged 6 mths to 13). We were greeted on arrival by Craig the owner and shown through the property. Amazing first impression. Clean, fresh flowers, clean yard, sparkling pool, stocked fridge and pantry. The have a rotating pantry system. You leave what you buy and don't take anything home. The house is big enough for everyone to have their own piece and quiet and you don't feel on top of each other. There were a few minor maintenance issues with the property such as faulty lights and door handles falling off. The tv didn't work the whole time which in the end was great because it forced the kids to play outside. The main toilet blocked several times but was attended to promptly by the house staff. We also experienced a power blackout and no water for 12 hours which was interesting. That was also attended to promptly by the owner glen and we were back online. It made our stay exciting. The best thing about our stay was having the complimentary car. It was fantastic to be able to do our own thing and we got to see the whole island. The location of casa de mar is an easy but bumpy 20 min drive into port Vila. The location s amazing with a beautiful beach and swimming holes at the front door. Exploring Vanuatu was so easy with a vehicle. The staff at casa de mar are excellent. Asnet and Wendy helped us so much, especially with the kids. they are more than happy to help with any aspect of the house. The pool area and the hammocks are so nice to relax in. The kids loved the rock pools out the front and swimming at low tide. I highly recommend casa de mar for a stay in Vanuatu. For a group it is ideal and I don't know if I could stay in a resort again after staying in a rental.

I just loved every day of our 7 days spent here. The property was excellent and with all the amenities and chattels available we could not have wished for more. It was great to have a vehicle at our disposal and the maid's were awesome as was the gardener. The restaurant 200 meters up the beach was that good we went there 3 times. I can't say enough about our perfect holiday. Thanks for everything. John and Shelley Clark

O for awesome Thanks to Glen for allowing us to share his slice of paradise. To Asnet, Philip and Seth thankyou for taking care of us, be it having the house inside and out cleaned daily to the trip around the island, it didn't seem to be a problem. The wealth of knowledge about the island and people we got from the three of you was invaluable. We were a family of 6 and with the size of the house and property we were able to find our own space and if that wasn't enough there was a deserted white sand beach as far as you could see both ways. The house was equipped with everything you needed if you wanted to do nothing which is what a holiday is all about. The trip into Port Villa, pot holes, left hand drive 4x4 that was provided, and driving on the right hand side of the road helped make the holiday an experience to be shared with others. We would recommend Ripples for a meal either lunch or dinner, both were superb. We found the locals friendly and they were always prepared to offer a wave and a genuine smile when you drove past and were happy to chat if you stopped to give them a lift. We all agreed that we would love to return to Vanuatu and Casa De Mar again.

It was our first trip to Vanuatu, and it was spectacular. Casa de Mar was superb for us with two adults and 4 young children. The location was so secluded and private. The only people we saw on the beach the entire stay was a group of local kids having a Sunday School picnic, and our kids played with them for about 2 hours. It was fab. The snorkelling on the beach at low tide is beautiful. Lots of gorgeous fish in the rock pools and the kids loved it!! The pool and backyard was fantastic and so relaxing - the children spent hours catching hermit crabs and letting them go again. Wendy and Phllip showed them how to lure the crabs with coconuts and paw paw. A wonderful experience with nature. The house is so well equipped for a family with a fully equipped kitchen, BBQ, DVDs (just in case it rains) and a library of holiday reading. It is very spacious so there is always a spot to relax. Phillip, Wendy and Asnet were great with the kids, generous with bringing fruit and flowers from their gardens, and it was such a treat to have our washing done everyday. They also gave lots of tips for sight seeing. Speaking of sight seeing, having the ute was invaluable. We explored the island, saw all the tourist spots and discovered some remote spots along the way. We could also duck into town or the supermarket whenever we wished. It was great to be mobile and not have to rely on drivers. Glenn and Edmund were also extremely helpful, and great to correspond with. Seth, our driver to and from the airport was also lovely and gave us a commentary along the way. The other wonderful part about staying at Casa de Mar was Tamanu restaurant and Ripples. We especially loved Tamanu. The staff there were fab, brought colouring sets out to our children as soon as we arrived, and even showed our children the turtle eggs buried on the beach, plus it was just a short stroll up the beach. Ripples food was 10/10. The veal steak is so tender, the curry is delicious and the lobster is perfect. Just not as many kids meal options there, compared to Tamanu. We would highly recommend staying at Casa de Mar. It was great to get off the beaten track and away from the resort and cruise ship crowds, for privacy, relaxation and time together. We truly relaxed, explored, and had a fun time as a family. It was a perfect holiday. Our only regret if that we didn't stay longer….can't wait to go back. Thank you to Gl

This spacious house truly does have everything you need and more. Loved having the expresso machine in a fully equipped kitchen. We stocked up at the supermarket and local fruit/veg markets on our way home each day after sightseeing The staff felt like part of the family they were so helpful in many ways Our family of 7 adults and 2 little children easily fitted into this spacious home away from home. Beautiful large gardens with lots of shade, and we had a bonus of discovering that 2 turtles had been up on our beach front.

We recently spent 13 days in Vanuatu for our 30th wedding anniversary and wanted somewhere to stay with our family. We found this wonderful home. The position was great - we were a 10 minute stroll down the beach from a resort where we could get breakfast or dinner and 2 kilometres from Ripples - great for lunch or dinner. We were very well cared for by Asnet, Wendy, Philip and Seth - they made our stay very memorable - nothing was too much trouble for any of them. There were 3 couples and there was plenty of room for everyone to have their own personal space. We were very sad to say goodbye to everyone - we will be back.

We stayed at Casa De Mar for 5 nights with friends & our 2 children (9 &14) to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We also decided to hold a vow renewal ceremony while there. What an amazing home it is, in fact we loved it so much that even though we were supposed to move to a different property we decided to extend our stay. Photos really don't do it justice! There was a very well equipped kitchen & pantry, which we found great to prepare meals in. The house itself is very spacious & we didn't feel like we were all living on top of one another. The kids really enjoyed the backyard beach under the shady pandanus trees & spent hours looking for crabs. The pool is a good size & the beautiful ocean breeze was perfect. There are plenty of living/sitting areas so you can all spread out & have quiet time when needed. The staff, Wendy, Esnett & Phillip were the highlight of our stay! They were so warm & helpful & amazing with the kids. They were always offering to do things to make our trip really relaxing, washing, ironing & even taking the kids for walks & teaching them things. Nothing was ever a problem. In fact, on the morning of our vow renewal ceremony the staff took our kids & snuck around collecting frangipani's to decorate our bed, a spot for the ceremony & make bouquets as a beautiful surprise. They honestly spent hours making everything look gorgeous & our kids really loved being involved. We will never forget that morning, just amazing! We found Glen the owner to be fantastic & super helpful, really going above & beyond so we would have a great time. There is wifi here also, which we all used & found the speed to be pretty good for Vanuatu. The use of the dual cab was also a big bonus as you are about 20 mins away from groceries & it was nice to have a vehicle to get us around. There is also a great restaurant just up the beach,Tamanu on the beach, which I would thoroughly recommend. Great food, beautiful outlook & good cocktails. Best food we had in our 2 weeks in Vanuatu. If I was to add one small negative it would have to be the mattress on the bed in the master bedroom, It truly was like sleeping on a rock :( Overall, a fantastic place to stay & wonderful experience. We can't wait to come back & see you all again!!!

Returning to Casa De Mar this year was a much anticipated holiday...Our extended family didn't think last year's stay could possibly be equalled, but it was. The house and surrounds are beautiful and maintained immaculately by the same wonderful staff - Asnet, Wendy and Phillip. Waking up each morning to the amazing view across from our private beach, swimming and snorkelling in the great rock pools to the right of the property and taking a leisurely stroll along the beach (to the left) toward Tamanu for cocktails and the occasional meal are moments in time indelibly etched in our minds. We are already planning for a return visit next year. Our daughter, her husband and their two children spent a day with us at the property (they had been staying at LeLagon Resort), and were adamant that for their next visit to Port Vila they would be booking Casa De Mar! So thank you once again Glen, Asnet, Wendy and Phillip for helping to make our return to your beautiful property so enjoyable. All going well we shall see you next year. Sue, Steve, Lindy and Nikki

We couldn't have chosen a better location for a family holiday with 4 adults and 6 young kids. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated, and the yard was a wonderland for the kids, safely fenced from the beach access out front and plenty to keep them occupied for hours. Having a car included is like gold there, because rentals are expensive. Very convenient for visiting local attractions We loved the staff who did our dishes, laundry and minded the babies, such a treat. A short walk down the beach is a top vanuatu restaurant open from breakfast till late. And a short walk the other way to private coral beach pools. Absolute paradise!

We chose to stay at Casa De Mar because we wanted to be a bit out of the main town in Port Vila. The house was beautiful! right on our very own private beach. Perfect! The staff were so wonderful. Wendy, Asnet and Philip were very lovely and helpful. They came during the week to do the washing and gardening. Couldn't have chosen a more perfect pace for our stay. We are definitely coming back! Perfect for Families!!

We would highly recommend a stay at Cara De Mar. The location was excellent. It was nice to be out of town and have our own privacy. The accmommodation was a 'home away from home' and had everything that we needed, and there was more than enough space for the family. Our experience was enhanced by getting to know the housekeepers and gardener. They are lovely people and we learnt so much about the Ni-Van culture.

An excellent location, superb facilities - this place had the lot. Friendly staff and an easy drive into town. The house has everything a large family needs. Vanuatu is so laid back and relaxed, the locals are friendly and it was very easy to relax and unwind. We did a couple of great trips, visited Mele Cascades, did some snorkelling on Lelepa Is, swum in the Blue Lagoon - the kids will never forget this holiday and are already looking forward to going back to Vanuatu.

My wife and I spent one amazing week at Casa de Mar and are already planning our next trip...... next time with friends. This property is beautiful and in one of the best spots in Efate. You are 20 minutes from town but far enough away to feel like you're on a private island. Other than a couple of fisherman with hand-nets on the expansive beach, and some local children swimming in the rock pools, we didn't see anyone on the beach in front of the house for the whole week. We wanted a secluded, luxury villa with a pool and weren't disappointed. The house is huge and although the aircon works perfectly, we opened up the home to take in the sea breeze rolling off the Pacific. At night, we left all the doors and screens open and listened to the waves. Also, we did not see a single mosquito! This is big plus for anyone (like us) who has travelled in Fiji, Bali, Thailand etc and come home covered in bites. We used the car to load up on fresh produce in the Port Vila markets as well as offering rides into town for the locals who lived along the route. This was a great way of speaking to and meeting people, all of which were both appreciative and willing to suggest places on the island to visit. Eating out, we went to Ripples (3 minute drive) twice, which had beautiful curries and salads as well as really friendly service. The massages at Tamanu (150m away) were excellent, but the one and only negative for the week was the dinner we had at Tamanu didn't match its 'fine dining' reputation. The staff, Wendy, Asnet and Phillip at Casa de Mar are friendly and warm. Everything from booking the place with Glen, getting picked up by our driver, Seth etc..... the whole experience was pleasant and easy. It's a rare and wonderful corner of the world and Casa de Mar is the perfect place to drop anchor, plant yourself on the day bed or hammock, pull the cork (or crack a Tusker beer) and enjoy "the happiest place on Earth", Vanuatu. We will be back again in January

If you are looking for a tropical getaway then look no further. Amazing location with the beach on your doorstep. The house is fully decked out with all the mod cons. All of the bedrooms have air con so sleeping in comfort is no problem. We spent most of the time either in the pool or sitting outside looking out to the amazing view (wine in hand). It is just a short drive to Port Vila and the vehicle was supplied. There are 'house girls' who come in each day and clean and do any washing which is returned to your room folded away neatly, great service. The kitchen is fully stocked with a revolving pantry system which is a brilliant idea, you take food, you leave food. As we got in late we were able to make a platter of food and wash it down with a couple of cold local beers already there, fantastic. We can't wait to go back and take the kids with us....

From the moment you step inside this fabulous modern home, you know you are going to have a great time. You will want for nothing, space to relax or share time with others, modern facilities throughout including a great kitchen. Views out to the ocean across the infinity pool, Bar B Q's by the pool in the evenings and a short trip (or walk along the beach) to one of the best restaurants in the South Pacific. How can you not enjoy it. The House staff are excellent, honest and friendly, with that cheeky humour so enjoyed in the Pacific Islands. Slept the sleep of the innocent every night, and awoke to another beautiful day in paradise. Try it you won't be dissapointed, I know, this was my second stay here, and I plan one now take a week off to stay at . Can't recommend it high enough.

The place is huge and right on the beach. House is big enough to find a spot all by yourself if need be or socialise, swim in the pool, walk along the beach or swim in the swim holes. The maids were fantastic and if you dropped some clothing it was back washed and ironed before you knew it and very pleasant people with it. Close to town if needed and I loved the walks along the beach or around the neighbourhood. Would go back anytime.

I have been to Vila several times and stayed at various resorts. this time however I decided along with my sister and her husband to stay at Casa De Mar. What a fantastic decision that turned out to be. Firstly the property: the house is huge, very nicely furnished with plenty of different spots to curl up with a book. Fantastic kitchen, what a bonus cooking up delicious local fare bought from the markets. The house is spotless thanks to Asnet and Wendy who came in every day and took care of the housework. Philip kept the yard and pool area ship shape, even raking the sand out the back each day! It is absolute sea front, at low tide we found beautiful water holes to swim in. The property comes with an airconditioned duel cab ute, so getting around wasn't a problem. Thank you Glen for a fantastic holiday, already planning our next stay in 2013!

My wife, her sister and myself were looking for a complete break away from the hustle and bustle of life in Aussie, and boy, did we find it at Casa De Mar just 15-20 mins from the township of Port Vila. From the airport where we were greeted with a refreshing cold drink and a happy smile by Seth our driver and who obligingly stopped at the local supermarket for a few supplies - to the warm welcome at the home from Asnet, our 10 days were pure relaxation. Casa de Mar is a spacious and gracious home, maintained spotlessly by a friendly and discreet staff. Not too far from Vila but far enough to be able to unwind and enjoy the 'real' Vanuatu as opposed to staying at a resort. The Tamanu Resort and Restaurant is a short walk along the beachfront for the occasional meal out........The food and service is wonderful and the staff welcome you as a "local". Having said that, we were happy to stay put and do most of our cooking at 'home', enjoying the pool and rock pools when not venturing out to explore various parts of the island in the 4WD which is included as part of the package. We cannot recommend Casa De Mar highly enough and have made tentative arrangements with extended family to return next year. Thank you Glen for providing such a lovely and welcoming house for your guests and a special 'thank-you' to Asnet for making us feel like part of her family. Steve, Sue and Lindy.

after leaving brisbane via sydney to port villa quite a long day got to casa de mar dying for a cold rum & coke and ice maker in fridge not working {disconnected}also cockroaches running around everywhere {around & in oven {which didn,t work too well either}in the draws & cupboards as well so everything we used had to be rinsed off. informed owner glen but pest control didn,t get there for 3 days.all they did was get around with spray cans which didn,t fix the problem !!no console game as advertised either.light switch hanging out of wall in room beside garage & dble power point hanging out of external wall by pool !! not too safe if young kids were around glen said electrician was coming but didn,t show in 10 days we were there. i think that since house is on the market it,s been let go a bit.pretty dissapointing considering what we paid. would not return.beds wern,t too comfortable either.

We have just returned form Casa De Mar and just have to say what an awesome place. I found Glen easy to deal with and prompt with emails. We had a large group of 7 and easily fitted in. The housegirls were wonderful in taking care of daily duties so we could well and truly relax. It was a bit out of town, but was great to have total seclusion and with a restaurant up the beach, was great for slipping up on nights we couldn't be bothered cooking. Also having use of a 4wd was great to pop into town for shopping. I cant talk enough about how much we enjoyed our trip to this wonderful friendly tropical paradise. The people were friendly and happy, the weather was great. Loved mele and the cascades and a trip round the island very interesting. Also at the house their is everything there....kitchen well set up, there really is no need to take anything...good supply of reef shoes, bug spray even an esky to take to town for shopping! JUST AWESOME!

We recently stayed at Casa De Mar with two families (4 adults and 5 children aged 3 to 9). The house was "huge" and open planned and came with everything you can think of, including a bottle of wine and a some "tusker" beers awaiting your arrival!! The setting was "picture postcard" perfect! After arriving late at night, it was just simply stunning to wake up, look over the pool through to the beautful white sands and onto the ocean, all at your back door! just stunning. The Tamanu Resort is a 100m walk (to the left if looking at the ocean) up the beach and the food is fantastic. We found it a bit expensive but well worth it. We enjoyed a great breakfast and dinner there. Wendy our "house girl" was brilliant. The kids loved her and so did we! We spent a few hours with her in her village where our kids were able to spend some time with the local kids, playing soccer and being silly. Just fantastic, thank you Wendy! I would like to add though for those travelling with 3 year old "wild childs" like ours, that the pool is fenced on 3 sides, not completely fenced as it is an infinity pool. This if fine as long as you don't have a child that can climb the unfenced end of the pool and get in! Also, the main house has three bedrooms, the huge main with ensuite, a second with queen bed and single bed (with lovely courtyard) and third bedroom with queen bed. The fourth bedroom is just seperated from the main house. It has a queen bed, toilet and outside shower. It is perfect for adults or teenagers/older children, but not for young kids (unless they are the extremely brave type who are happy to be seperated from parents!) We loved the use of the car. The drive into town took us about 20min and was a bit rough. The roads had a lot of "pot holes" due to bad weather (a third of the drive is on dirt roads) however, we felt this added to the adventure of things! Grocery shopping is another adventure! The food is a little more expensive than here in Australia but you can buy just about everything we can here. One thing to know, the butcher does not arrive until 3pm (if he shows up at all!) so don't do your shopping early. Also, you can not buy beer on a Sunday! A few things that are a must in Vanuatu - Do a local village tour, visit the cascade waterfalls (It's a bit of a hike up but well worth it), vist the "Blue Lagoon" and Eton Beach. Otherwise, sit back and relax in your own stunning backyard at Casa De Mar! Thanks Glen for sharing this piece of paradise with us. We loved it!

We recently stayed here with four couples and four children under four and all agreed that we could not have had a better holiday. The house was perfect for children with a large fenced beach area for them to play in, toys provided and a fenced pool. The great thing about this house is that it is on the white sand, surf beach rather than the lagoon. The view from the house is wonderful Glen and his staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. At low tide we loved the rockpools right in front of the house and breakfast at Tamanu Resort next door was fantastic. The one small thing that could be improved is that the room outside the house is not quite as comfortable as the rooms inside. We hope to come back one day because we can't imagine a better place for a family holiday.

The warm welcome we received on arrival by the housekeeper was delightful, with fresh fruit, flowers, bottled water and a complimentary bottle of wine all included. The house is very well presented and set-up, and caters for open plan living with quality inclusions, has also an extensive DVD and book library collection. House and gardens were well maintained by a team of very friendly and obliging staff. The owners supplied a car for the guests to use which was great and another added bonus. The fact that you have a beautiful beach at your door step with safe swimming holes and also your own pool on the property left us spoilt for choice. Contact with the owner was always friendly and helpful with the "Guest Information Sheets" provided being very informative and useful. There were 3 couples in our group and all agree that this is a great property for a relaxing holiday, one we would love to come back to one day!

We stayed here with our children mid September. We had the most fabulous stay. The place was very modern, the staff were extremely friendly and fenced wet edge pool was perfect with the children. The white sandy beach out front was a real bonus. We would definitely return to The Vanuatu Executive Retreat. We highly recommend it to any family traveling to Vanuatu.

Well what can I say....we have just returned from the most wonderful stay at casa de mar at Tamanu. The house was perfect for our group of eight that included a toddler. It had a fenced pool, insect screens and aircon. We didn't really need the aircon but it was good for our toddler sleeping at night. The staff were wonderful, discreet but very helpful and spoke very good english. Being a few minutes walk from Tamanu resort was great as this resort has a wonderful restauarant for those times you don't feel like cooking. Or just want a quiet coffee and watch the world go by! The house was really well set up with everything we could possibly want...even an exercise machine! I found lounging by the pool suited me better! Having a vehicle to use was great for when we felt like exploring or going in to town. The setting was perfect with the most beautiful beach right in front of the house. We only ever saw three other people on the whole beach while we were there! We were welcomed with a lovely bottle of wine, fruit bowl and cold tuskers in the fridge! Great! Such a different experience having our own oasis after staying in hotels/motels in other parts of the world. We travelled with a large group for a wedding in vanuatu and the group rented two houses...we had many visits from the "other" house, not that there was anything with the other house, (It was lovely as well), but I think ours just had that lovely relaxing, homely feel. We will be back...hopefully soon.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this holiday home. The kids loved the infinity pool and endless playing in the gardens, swings, hammocks and the beach. The house had ample outdoor and indoor living areas, which gave everyone their peace and privacy during our stay. We were thoroughly impressed at our stay here - my husband does not usually like the idea of staying at holiday homes, as he prefers the facilities and services that resorts usually offer. However, he loved all the extras that this holiday home offered - the lovely housekeeping, garden and security staff at the house, use of our own private car, the little extras like the DVD library, welcome wine & fruit and the complete seclusion and privacy, that this location offered. Highly recommended.

This was our second stay at Casa De Mar & we were the first guests back post cyclone. After the extensive & somewhat dramatic media coverage of the cyclone by the Aussie media, we were a little worried & not sure what to expect. The staff had worked so, so hard to get everything up & running& looking gorgeous for us. Glen, the owner, was great with constant updates on progress & reassurance. There were some trees missing or damaged in the back yard & the lights out there were no longer working, the pool fence was missing, which was not at all a problem for us as we have teenage kids. It was so lovely to see the amazing staff again & we were amazed to see that despite what they have been through they are still smiling. For the first 4 days we had no mains power, air conditioning or internet but luckily we were provided with a well maintained generator & a brand new BBQ so none of this was a problem. Sadly one of our favourite restaurants just down the beach was so badly damaged that it may not re open & we did miss having that as an option for lunches & dinners as you are about 25 minutes from town. Ripples restaurant just around the corner re opened on our last night which was great. This place is still the special paradise we remember & if anything, once the piles of tree debris are cleared, the beach out back will be more sandy & beautiful than before. The use of the dual cab is a huge bonus with CDM & we loved being able to easily get around by ourselves. The biggest asset is still the fantastic staff, they really make this place the total package. See you all next time. "Tangkiu Tumas!" Aaron, Danielle, Jake, Ethan & Lara

A large family group of us visited for a week in August. Dealing with Glen in the lead up to our stay was an absolute pleasure, nothing was ever a problem and he always responded promptly. What a beautiful place to stay, absolute paradise. We loved every bit of our stay here .The villa was fully equipped with everything we could have possibly needed & extremely comfortable. Having the use of the vehicle was very handy. The rolling pantry is a fantastic idea (fully stocked and you just replace what you use.) The pool is fantastic and the beautiful white sandy beach right on your door step. We could not speak more highly of the wonderful staff at the Villa. Asnet, Yvette and Jake were so wonderful, nothing was ever a problem. They were fantastic with our young children too. This is a wonderful villa which we would recommend to anyone. We look forward to returning to Casa De Mar

We were a group of 6, family of four with grandma and grandpa. We stayed in Casa De Mar before the Cyclone in March. We feel honored to have been able to stay there! This house makes you feel special. Also, there aren't many areas in Port Vila that offer such a great location with sandy beaches. Our evening walks on the white sand while watching our sons swim in the cool rock formations was one highlight of many. We were also able to enjoy some amazing crayfish from a local who caught them for us and it was a bargain, plus adds to the experience. The house is gorgeous and comfortable and we felt very safe there. The staff were extremely attentive, but not intrusive. The house was spotless and the kitchen was nicer than my kitchen at home! FYI, There is a very interesting abandoned, never finished resort, down the beach. We hope to go back someday and we would recommend it to anyone!

We travelled with three adult daughters and their husbands and two grandchildren. This four bedroom house was ideal with plenty of room for people to have their own space but able to be together at the same time. This house is ideal for small children. The back yard is amazing with grass, sand, pool, lounges and hammocks .The kitchen has everything you need to cook anything. The 4 wheel drive ute was essential as it is a twenty minute drive on a very bumpy road into town. A tip might be not to go in August as the wind never stops blowing. The pool was too cold to swim in but I am sure it would be delightful at a different time of the year. The ocean is not really accessible in front of the house but a natural swimming hole is 5 mins walk away. The 4th bedroom is not part of the house but a separate unit so not suitable for a young child. Appreciated the service of the house girls, efficient and unobtrusive. Highly recommend "Ripples" a nearby cafe within walking distance, great food and service in a great position.

Casa De Mar is a fantastic house in a fantastic location. The staff are wonderful and their local knowledge is a real help; they keep the house and gardens perfect. We enjoyed walking straight out on to the beach and exploring the reef. Having the car to use for trips into Port Vila is a real bonus and made our holiday even more exciting. (driving on the wrong side of the road for us Aussies!) We all enjoyed our time spent at Casa De Mar and highly recommend it to others. Thanks Glen and the girls for our great holiday.

We stayed at Casa de Mar for a week with our two year old daughter. In a word - paradise - this place has all the luxury of a resort but complete privacy. We fell in love with Vanuatu, the people, the food, the island.. It's wonderful. Staying in a villa is perfect, here you have the beach and a beautiful pool to choose from. Plus, 500 meters down the road is Ripples where you can watch the sunset with a cocktail and eat some of the best food we have had anywhere. The villa comes with a vehicle which is great for day trips and little adventures. A wonderful sea breeze keeps you nice and cool and the house has everything you need - including a great coffee machine you can fire up with freshly ground Vanuatu coffee every morning. The house girls were lovely, and made our stay fantastic - our daughter looked forward to their arrival each morning so she could go out and hunt for crabs scuttling around in the garden with Yvette. Don't be put off by the cyclone, everything apart from a couple of the big resorts is back up and running. Highly recommend this place, we will definitely be going back - we are already planning a trip next year.

A big thank you to John (Property Manager) and the girls for making us feel so welcolme. We so did enjoy Casa De Mar. The pool and beach are just what we wanted. To wake up in the morning to the sound and sight of the sea is just wonderfull. Plenty of room to spread out and make yourselves at home. The added bonus was the use of the 4x4 Dual Cab vehicle made it easy to get around to the local area and shops. Just a dream location, want to come back very soon. Highly Recommend.

The place had an incredible amount of room for the kids to play, inside and out with a superb pool which was incredibly safe. Sipping a cold beer on the outdoor lounge chairs overlooking the white sandy beach and beautiful ocean was a great way to unwind whilst watching the kids play in the pool and the huge lawn and private beach. The large fire place on the beach was a real hit and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

Hi Glen, thanks once again for allowing us to spend our family holiday at Casa De Mar. A special thanks to Asneth, Yvette and Jake for looking after us and making us all feel at home, especially the kids, I think they enjoyed playing footy with Jake. Thank you to John for all his assistance and making us feel welcome, driving the Hummer was a special treat. We are looking forward to planning our third trip next year and catching up with the team at the house. Kindest regards Ken,Pam & family.

We stayed at Glen's place for 6 nights in June with our young family. It was the perfect place for us to unwind and get into "island time". We stay in a lot of holiday houses when we travel and this is one of the best! It is so well set up with everything you could possibly need which makes life so much easier when you are travelling with little children. The house is spacious and designed to capture the cool sea breezes. The view is magnificent from so many parts of the property and there are countless day beds and hammocks to just sit back and enjoy the sun and sea. The staff who arrive each morning to tend to the house and garden were all wonderfully friendly and professional. We were taken care of so well it was hard to want to come home. I would have no hesitation in recommending this house and we intend to return sometime soon. Thanks Glen!

Just returned from a fantastic week in Vanuatu, The team at Casa De Mar were just awesome, Yvette, Jake and John all went out of their way to make our trip as brilliant as possible. A couple of little hiccups that were quickly sorted but apart from that it was all great. The Family are trying to twist my arm to return as soon as possible ( it would not take a lot of twisting to get me to re- book) Once again Thank you all for being so great and we look forward to seeing you again.

Our family of 10 had an amazing time staying in paradise at Casa de Mar. The fabulous and very spacious home is well appointed throughout and was perfect for our young grandchildren. Set in beautiful, child-proof grounds, a secure gate opens onto stunning white sand where you can swim in the 'sea pool', otherwise enjoy the fantastic swimming pool close to the house. Our stay was enhanced with the friendly and helpful staff of Esneth, Yvette and Jake. John was also very keen to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We felt very indulged and truly on holiday! A truly memorable family time together. Thank you.

We stayed for 5 nights at the end of September, and had an awesome holiday. The house was immaculate and perfectly kitted out for a family holiday. Plenty of games and books to keep people happy, fantastic pool and really interesting beach to walk along including the fire pit on the beach. The staff (2 Aunties who were Maids and Uncle the Gardiner) were really friendly and helpful and kept the place in great order they are also really helpful and can recommend good places to check out. It was also awesome to have the 4WD vehicle available this enabled us to get around the island and check out some of the close attractions, Turtle Sanctuary, Blue Water Hole and some of the other awesome beaches. Only thing to note is the restaurants are not that close or available, Timanu Resort 5 min walk is still being rebuilt and Ripples is not open M,T W so make sure you bring enough BBQ food to cover these nights as it's a long way back into town (the Sausages are awesome though on the Island!) We also bought a big box of snack food over as it makes things quite a bit cheaper as nearly everything is imported on the island.

We spent five nights at Casa del Mar with my sisters family and we really enjoyed ourselves. We took long walks along the beach exploring the rock pools and the kids loved the swimming pool and being able to run around the huge garden. The house is very well fitted out with a great library and TV. Having the use of a car was a real bonus. Sensational food at Ripples restaurant just down the road! The housekeepers Yvette and Esnay are delightful and loved the kids. Highly recommended!

Fantastic beach with well laid out property and gorgeous sea views. Super living area and bedroom configuration worked perfectly for our group of 3 couples but would work just as well for a family. House and garden staff were a wonderful inclusion which made our stay extra relaxing. Free use of vehicle was a huge plus. Although current road conditions make this property closer to 30 mins from Port Vila there are a number of attractions close by, turtle sanctuary, blue lagoon etc and would definitely recommend.

House was a great size for 6 adults and 2 kids staying, while it is showing some age and the third toilet in the guest bedroom could use a new seat, the house and grounds are more than comfortable. Use of the big Ford ute was great, considering the house is about 35-40 minutes from Port Vila. House ladies were very helpful, and did a great job. Just make sure you let them know what clothes you don't want washed if you happen to leave them laying around. Tamanu down the beach had great food, and they loved our kids coming up for meals. Would happily recommend the house to anyone looking for a nice quiet place, well away from the noise with plenty of space for the kids to play in safety.

The property is superbly kept and in a place where there is no need to move from the oh so cosy day bed facing the ocean, which we never got tired of watching. The use of the onsite vehicle was great. And the locals in the area and Vanuatu are the most friendly people we have come across.

Our family of 8 ranging in ages from 1 - 91 had a great time here. I would highly recommend this property especially if you only need 3 bedrooms. Here are the pros: the outside grounds are beautiful! The gated infinity pool was ideal to cool off and safe for the 1 year old. The separate hammocks, chairs, and cabana throughout the property were ideal - if you wanted to be by yourself you could and there were plenty of communal areas too. The kitchen was well appointed, and added surprise was the coffee latte maker. The house had lots of space for playing inside. The air conditioning in each of the bedrooms in the house worked well. Wifi was great. The housekeepers and gardener were very friendly and maintained things quite well. It is a beautiful private resort. The proximity to Tamanu on the Beach restaurant (a 5-minute walk on the beach) was fantastic and a bonus! Having the car at the property was great. Although we rented another car we occasionally used the "house" car and it was helpful. The cons: The issues I had with the property was only with the 4th bedroom which is in another building with no air conditioning only a fan. There is only a toilet. The sink was tiny and only had place for a container of soap and nothing else, there was no other place or shelf to put any bathroom products - not even a toothbrush. The window opening in the bathroom had slats and there was no screen, so bugs easily could come in particularly if a light was on. There is no place to hang your bath towel the only bar in the bathroom was large enough for a hand towel. There are no drawers to put away your clothes in the room. The outside cold-water only shower has no privacy. A few minor fixes could make this room a lot better. The drive into town is more like 35 minutes away to the center of Port Vila. We went into town a few times during our 9 days stay.

We were so looking forward to this holiday (special family celebration), we had always stayed in hotels on previous vaccations, so this was a whole new experience for us, and we weren't disappointed. It was perfection for our family of 5 adults, plenty of space to spread out, the pool, the beach, and OMG the Day Chair on the deck loved it all. We did a mixture of our own cooking and eating out, it worked perfectly, having a pantry of goodies and basics was a nice touch, (we left our contribution of left over food). There being a prawn farm 10min down the road was brilliant. The fact that we had use of the Ute, was just the icing on the cake. Anna, and Jake were lovely and it was really nice to chat , and find out about the culture and life of the locals. Although a little pricey, we did walk down the beach to Tamanu Restaurant a couple of times, very convienent. We had the best time here and highly recommend Casa De Mar. Thanks for a perfect hoilday.

Great location beach on the doorstep, next to a fantastic restaurant/resort (Tamaunu). We loved that we didn't have to go to the restaurant for every meal, and could cook or BBQ our own. With 7 people staying we had ample room everyone ate, slept, swam, walked or drove into town when they felt like it. The staff were lovely, friendly, discreet made our stay even more relaxing. Would highly recommend Casa De Mar

When booking maybe though 2 weeks were a little too long but could have stayed on for a month. We were spoilt by Glen's beautiful staff, loved swimming with the local village kids. What else can we say but a little hidden paradise - we will definitely be back. thanks Glen you house is amazing.
