Elegance, Space, La Dolce Vita living in Upmarket Vinohrady Wenceslas 100 meters

over 80% occupancy 2017 BOOK NOW!
A lot of thought has gone into the design of this 4-bedroom Art Nouveau Prague apartment, which has just been completely renovated. It combines romantic charm with sleek modern touches. High ceilings, chandeliers, original parquet floors, french doors and large windows, blend with tasteful décor, to give this self-catering apartment a style and charm all of its own. We offer a great deal of flexibility for large or small numbers. Each of the 4 large bedrooms have double or single beds, there is a large living room with TV ,DVD and satellite , a sofa bed, with seating for 6, a spacious hall with a dining table (seating for 10) a brand-new kitchen with oven, hob and all kitchen appliances, a kitchen table and chairs, separate toilet (1 sink ) and one modern bathroom ( 2 sinks). This city centre apartment is not only comfortable, but has the character and charm to match the romance and magic of Prague, one of Europe’s most beautiful and captivating capitals.
This Prague apartment is located just 100 meters from Wenceslas square, the National Museum and Opera House. From here it is a short walk to Old Town, the historical center of the city, where you will find the astronomical clock. Close to here is the Charles Bridge and Mala Strana. The apartment is less than a minutes walk from three central metro and tram stations, Museum, IP Pavlova and Nam Miru, which take you to all parts of the city. Tesco supermarket is also a minute away by foot. This beautiful Prague apartment is located in the prestigious residential neighborhood of Vinohrady - La Dolce Vita of Prague’s Upper Crust:
This imposing residential area has everything: elegant architecture, great
restaurants and cafés, places of cultural interest, and greenery – all just
a few minutes from the historical centre. Ornate Art Nouveau façades and
streets lined with mature trees slightly evoke Paris – and we daresay the
quality of cafés is equal – making Vinohrady a highly sought-after location.
We’ll give you an overview of the area around Námestí Míru (Peace Square),
the virtual centrepiece of this quarter.
Vinohrady’s contemporary appearance emerged at the turn of the 20th century,
when primarily upper middle class, including renowned artists such as the
Capek brothers and sculptor Ladislav Šaloun, creator of the Jan Hus statue
at the Old Town Square, moved into newly built villas and apartment
buildings. As the name suggests, the history of Vinohrady goes back much
further. When Charles IV had ordered grapevines to be planted here in the
14th century, the area began to be called “Vineyard Mountains” and later
Royal Vineyards (Královské Vinohrady). It was an independent city until it
was finally annexed into the city of Prague in 1922.
The focal point of Námestí Míru is the Church of St Ludmila
built at the end of the 19th century in the Neo-Gothic
style. It houses vitrages, paintings, and sculptures. The church is open
half an hour before a mass, daily except Sunday at 4 p.m., and on Sundays at
8:30 and 10:30 a.m. In December, Christmas markets with fairytale charm are
held literally at the foot of the church. Other buildings that catch your
eye at the square are the Art Nouveau Vinohrady Theatre
and the Vinohrady National House, a venue for balls and
other social events.
Vinohrady is known for its relaxed residential character. In addition to the
locals whose families have lived here for several generations, young
hipsters and a diverse mix of foreigners from around the world have moved
into the area. It seems not a day goes by when a new café, bistro, or
restaurant is opened. Námestí Míru
itself is enlivened by an outdoor piano and the nearby Poesiomat, a “jukebox
for poetry” with recordings of Czech and American poetry, which looks like a
megaphone in the shape of an inverted letter “J” – a device as well as a
Where to go in Vinohrady? Start at Námestí Míru and just set out – head for
a café, a restaurant, or maybe even the Žižkov Television Tower
If it’s sunny, don’t miss one of Vinohrady’s parks Riegrovy sady
(Rieger Gardens) with its unusual view at the city centre, or Grébovka
with its pavilion and vineyards. If you long for charming
streets just walk through – Americká, Londýnská, Lužická, Lublanská, and
Mánesová – and don’t forget to look up – some of the most interesting
details on the building façades are on the upper floors. Next time you won’t
want to stay anywhere else!
Rieger Gardens (Riegrovy sady)
This park, over a century old, shelters intimate nooks and places with
wooded areas, open grassy areas, unusual vistas of the city and a large
garden restaurant with comfortable seating in the shade of chestnut trees.
Vineyards used to be located here, and all that remains today are parts of
the original buildings: the Classicist lookout from the 1920s, renovated
into a restaurant, and a three-sided obelisk of sandstone from around 1840.

LOVED this place. It's just outside the hustle and bustle of the tourist district--it has a local feel, while still being close to the action. --Lots of room to spread out in this apt. Has everything you'd need in a European apt., even a washer and drying rack. Ilan is an easy landlord--great to deal with. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a cheerful orientation tour of the apartment/city (and a great map). Our family took the tram to Prague Castle (bring kids' passports--12-and-under--for free day tickets) and then walked back over Charles Bridge, saw the astronomical clock chiming on the hour, etc. and walked back to the flat. It's that close. We parked our American minivan in a garage about a 5-min walk away for 20E/day--didn't need it in town.

Our extended family ( 6 adults, 6 kids ) met in Prague for a family reunion celebration and we found this absolutely ideal place in Vinohrady. This is a spacious apartment with 4 bedrooms, dining room, kitchen and appliances ( minus dishwasher ), wifi, restaurant with Czech prices ( very convenient ) in the building, shops in 2 min walking distance. We found it to be a great place, great location, plenty of restaurants nearby, parks and easy access to Prague metro and public transit. Apartment is thoughtfully furnished with mirrors in each room, fans and comfy beds and furniture. Owner was extremely helpful and accommodating. I give it excellent rating for convenience, price, location and ambiance.

We stayed here for a week, this is a nice, spacious apartment, with comfortable beds. The owner was very good to deal with, the check in process was well managed even though the owner was away. His friend let us in and explained everything to us. The location of this apartment is excellent, the area is very close to the main square and the tram and subway stops are within 2 blocks. We all felt very safe in this area as well. We would absolutely stay here again.

I recently travelled to Prague as part of a group of 7 and we stayed in this beautiful and spacious apartment. It was fabulous. Would be perfect for a group of up to 8, I think 10 would be fine but more of a squeeze with just two bathrooms. The living/dining area was great and provided us with the perfect base for our weekend away. Kitchen came fully equipped and we made use of it every morning. I would stay here again.

We all loved the apartment, it was in a great place near the center, bit of a walk to some places, but a nice walk through the sights, and easy to get a taxi or what not. It was not as much of a pain as you would have thought there only being one toilet, 10 of us managed quite alright! The owner was a great help, he met us on time to give us the keys, gave us a lot of information on the city and what to do, and was quick to respond on his mobile phone if we needed him or he needed us. There is nothing really negative to say, it was a great bargain and we could not imagine it to be better. The city was beautiful over all, had no problems, and with cheap and nice beer, is a great city for beer-lovers to visit! The tours were fun and there is a lot to do in the city. The rumors about Prague being a sin-city are wrong (unless we were looking in the wrong places!), it is a nice city, even after dark. The only thing I can say is to watch out how much you are spending, as the currency might seem like your spending a bit of money on a cocktail, but it could be like 6 pounds, even though it seems cheaper. Also, Czech food is not the best in the world! But there are many many options everywhere to accommodate everyone. If I go again, I will defiantly stay here again, and the owner should get more places in different countries, as he is a great help and makes it a great stay at a great price!

Stayed in this apartment in June. Was absolutely perfect. Close to public transport but also within easy walking distance to main attractions. Ilan kindly arranged a taxi to collect us from the airport which was most convenient and very reasonable. The neighborhood is great and it was nice to get out of the hustle and bustle of the center after a day's sightseeing. We cooked some meals at home but also ate at nearby restaurants filled with locals, loved the Prague food! The Tesco was also around the corner where we bought our groceries. The apartment was really spacious and clean. Would recommend it to others without a doubt. Ilan is a perfect host.

Sorry for my poor English, but let me try it! First of all the host was caring for us from the first steps of booking since to the day of leaving. He promptly and correctly answered all of our questions. But now to the apartment. The first impression, when the door opened, was very impressing. The rooms are elegant and spacious and all of the four bedrooms could be used. This is to be mentioned because we have only booked for four persons. All was top and in a clean condition, even fresh flowers were on the table. There is nothing to criticize! At last the apartment is very close to the centre and metro and tram stations, but far enough away from the typical touristic locations. So for example you can find only 100 meters away some excellent restaurants which offer pizza, meditarranian or bohemian food for reasonable prices and without noisy bus groups. So we thank for a wonderful trip to Prague!

During our one week stay in this lovely apartment, we felt the comfort of the house in the luxurious form of a five-star residance. To be more clear, the feeling of luxury started at the airport with the smooth trip to our place by a service car, then, we got a nice welcome and a very useful orientation full of practical tips about the city by Ilan Morris himself. The spacious apartment with its four rooms which are all pleasently furnished, the dining room with a long table, the living room with a large sofa and a TV set, and the kitchen which has all facilities and an extra round dining table will satisfy anyone. During our stay we had fun time in the apartment and the proximity of the place to the city centre also made our vacation a great time for us. All in all, we had an excellent experience in Prag and I think I owe a sincere "thank" to Ilan Morris for this. Serap & B?lent al?c? from ?stanbul

This appartment was even better than it looked on the website, its so easy to get into the city, taking less than 5 minutes to get to Wencelas Square and only maybe 10 minutes after that to get to the old town square. It was very clean, comfortable and had all the facilities we needed however a microwave would have been nice too. Ilan arranged taxis for us and told us where good places to go are and we followed his advice and had a great time. There is a small cafe/restaurant across the road from the flat which serves good food at cheap prices. I really enjoyed the week and would really recommend this apartment to anyone.

The apartment was lovely and very spacious, exactly as advertised. Ilan met us at the apartment, helped us lug a lot of luggage upstairs, and got us settled in. He really went the extra mile. We look forward to renting with him again. Only caution is do not come to Prague in July if the heat bothers you. There were plenty of fans in the apartment, but it was over 90 degrees F. outside, so it was uncomfortable in the apartment, especially during the day.

The apartment is spacious and nicely decorated. It was clean and tidy with all the amenities you could ask for. It was within easy walking distance of Wenceslas Square. The only issue I had was the noise of the street below. It was very very noisy at night. This is obviously not the fault of the apartment but made sleeping somewhat difficult.

What a great apartment!!! It was hard explaining to our friends just how nice this place was!! So we saved the email with the pictures and they could see for themselves. There were four of us and our day usually consisted of: having breakfast together enjoying the great bakery items less than a block away, then taking the subway{ one block away} all over the city to see the sights and to shop, returning HOME and going out for dinner. Sometimes we only went across the street to the local bar and restaurant. In other words we were in a great location. Everything was clean and well maintained--Ilan called twice to see if we needed anything. We would be very happy to come back here many many times.

We stayed in this apartment with two families which included four adults and five children. There was more than enough room for everyone and each person had a real bed to sleep in. The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated. We were greeted by the owner and he took the time to show us on a map where the places of interest were. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a wonderful apartment for our 5-night stay in Prague. My husband and I were traveling with our 3 teenagers. The size, cleanliness, and location of this apartment were perfect! We had plenty of room to easily "spread out" and be comfortable after a long day of sightseeing. The kitchen was well equipped, and a grocery store is located just around the corner. As a result, we ate breakfast here every morning, as well as a few lunches. Though this apartment is located about a 15-20 minute walk from Old Town, we actually ended up liking its location very much. We could easily jump the 22 tram to get to the sights, but we were also able to eat and interact with some of the locals and away from the crowds of tourists. In fact, my 17-year-old boys spent one whole afternoon exploring the multitude of antique shops in our area. They found some great treasures. We were a little worried when we left Rome because we had rented this apartment and it doesn't have air conditioning. (Our stay in Europe was during a 150-year heatwave.) However, unlike our apartment in Rome that was equipped with air conditioning in two of its rooms, we were never hot or uncomfortable in this Prague apartment despite the unusual 95 degree temperatures. Each room has its own fan, the location allows for windows to be left open day and night, and the apartment had wonderful natural ventilation as a result. We would definitely recommend this apartment and would stay here again.

Owners very helpful - had taxis waiting for us in arrivals at airport, met us at apartment, gave us loads of information about the area, places to eat etc, very helpful and also arranged our taxis back to airport again. Would thoroughly recommend a group to stay here as very spacious bedrooms and lovely lounge, dining and kitchen area. The only fault we could find was having 1 bathroom between 8 people was not an ideal situation although we managed - otherwise perfect.

Stayed here as a group of 9 friends (mainly couples) in our late twenties / early thirties. Perfect size for the amount of people, didn't feel cramped. Spacious and nice decor. The location is also great, Vinohrady is a really nice neighborhood, which has it's own very local feel, yet only 15 mins walk to the old town. The owner and his wife were very helpful, although we never actually me t them in person, they were very quick to help with anything via email. Would definitely recommend!

The apartment is very large and has all you would require for your holiday. Even a large selection of Prague guide books.

Public transportation is right around the corner. We rented a car for several days during our stay and asked for assistance in finding a safe place to park. The owner knew the parking attendant did not speak English so he had his friend to meet us at the garage and set up our parking for us. We had such a lovely time in Prague and really loved the apartment. It was very spacious and beautifully decorated, I loved the colours inside each bedroom and the lounge area is very cosy and there is ample space to have your dinner around the big table or small kitchen table. We actually didn't make any meals in the apartment as we ate out every day but had snacks and a light breakfast in the morning. There is a coffee machine and plunger, oven and microwave and essentials like tea, coffee, sugar, washing powder etc so no need to stress if you arrive late that you must rush out to buy things. The bathroom is also very spacious for a European apartment, with a His and Hers basin and more than enough towels. The apartment was clean and in an excellent location, about 8-10 minutes walk to Wencesles square (we had my daughter in her pram so took a little longer) Check in was great and got many good recommendations for restaurants. Our airport transfer was also arranged for us. The owners were kind enough to let us check out a little later too to accommodate our afternoon flight! The only thing about the apartment that took us some getting used to (because we live in a house in the suburbs) was the sound of traffic right outside the apartment, and the bright rooms at night as the street lamps are right outside the windows. There are curtains but not blackout curtains so it did bother my daughter a bit but after a few nights she got used to it. It was a beautiful apartment and I highly recommend it for anyone going to Prague. Thank you Ilan and Veronika!
