Our whole trip was amazing from the initial contact with Joy, she was very helpful and quick to resond to questions or requests. We were amazed once we arrived at the property. It was exactly the relaxing getaway from Boston that we needed. The ocean views, snorkeling behind the house, and pool were exactly what we were looking for. We had made dinner and bbq's and the house was equipped with everything we needed! We also made a day trip to baby beach and the coolers and beach chairs were available to take with us! "If" we needed anything I know Joy wouldve been on top of it. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with the property or Joy helping us book our trip.

We very much enjoyed staying at this house on the beach. This was a first for us renting a house in Aruba. The layout of the house is open and airy and we had plenty of room. The bedrooms were decent with comfortable beds. Each of the bedrooms have their own air conditioner which worked nicely but the doors do need to stay shut at night since there is no air conditioning in the rest of the house. We had more than enough bath towels for each of the bathrooms. The kitchen is well stocked with all the necessities. We used the grill which is brand new and ate outside on the deck everyday. There is no air conditioning in the main part of the house but once you open up the front windows and the doors on the back of the house, the breeze will flow. Next time, we will bring bug spray because the mosquitoes do come out at night sometimes if there isn't a strong breeze along with purchasing some citronella candles for the sitting area. We spent much of our time on the deck area at night just sitting and talking. The best part of this house is the view, the snorkeling, the beach, and the pool. We were provided beach towels for the week. Pretty much every morning, we would go out snorkeling for a couple of hours. We brought our own snorkeling equipment but there is some at the house to use. You are less than 20 steps to great snorkeling! Arashi beach is gorgeous white sands with turquoise waters. Very easy to walk up to the house to get a drink or snacks. Do bring water shoes to walk back and forth because of the rockiness in some areas. It was perfect for us to snorkel, spend time at the beach, and then come back and laze by the pool. Do make sure yo keep the gate closed in the back by the pool because people will try to walk through up to the road. Joy was nice to work with and answered our questions. Just a FYI you can't flush toilet paper in the toilets, this must be disposed of in the trash can. Make sure to get extra plastic bags to go in the trash cans. There are also two dogs next door that bark. The washer and dryer are located on the outside deck with plenty of line space to dry. Overall, we had a wonderful time at this house and it is a nice place for a large group to stay.

Group of 4 couples stayed for a week. Had a great experience with Joy via email and while we were on the island - she's very responsive and helpful. The house location is ideal. It's right on a beach you can snorkel, swim and walk the beach. The pool area was perfect for our large group, always somewhere to sit either in the sun or the shade. Outdoor living area on the upper level had a large table and comfy sofa chairs - all well used by our group. I felt like I was outside most of the week which was awesome. AC in the bedrooms worked well, turned it off during the day and back on right before bed. Used the cross breeze by opening up all the windows and the house felt instantly cooler. 2 bathrooms upstairs with one room being the master with own bathroom and a jack and jill type shared bath between the other 2 rooms. Wifi was decent, especially upstairs. Downstairs was a bit dated, we used the largest room and that bathroom didn't have any hot or even warm water. Joy opened up another room's bathroom to use that did have hot water though there was a bit of a septic smell in that bathroom as it backed up a bit here and there. We didn't use use the grill or dryer and the washer wasn't in order so can't comment but they're available. Plenty of pots, pans, silverware, cups, blender, bath and beach towels. A few beach chairs as well, which was a plus! 2 1/2 fridges which was nice (one upstairs, downstairs + a mini-fridge). Appliances were nice and in good working order. The dogs next door bark when you come and go, but settle down pretty quickly. Tons of parking - could probably get 10+ cars easily. Each bedroom has it's own set of keys that lock your door for extra security while you're out of the house. Safe's in each room. Gate with a lock as well on the street side of the house. Enjoyed the ability to go back and forth to the beach, pool, house to refill drinks, make lunch, etc. The sun sets were beautiful and right in front of the house. Several catamaran snorkel boats parked near the house because the snorkeling was so good on this beach. They came and went in the morning so wasn't ever a problem. Overall a great value with the location, pool and large amount of space. Loved our week in Aruba!

My wife & I, plus 2 other couples, rented this villa for a week in January. We had a great time and enjoyed the house very much. That said, the house needs maintenance and deserves some significant updates. It is in a great location - on the beach but on a quiet street; close to restaurants & shopping. The snorkeling just off the beach is very good. The house is very roomy but it's also dated and a bit run-down. The washer/dryer didn't work but we were given complimentary laundry service mid-week so that worked out fine for us. Note that there is a lower level (that we didn't rent) with more bedrooms to accommodate a larger group.

I liked this house. The location can't be beat - 20 steps from wonderful snorkeling is not an exaggeration. The house is huge - we rented just the upstairs (3 bedrooms) but there were several guest rooms downstairs that could be rented if your group was larger. The indoor space was more than roomy; the outdoor seating was a little tired (porch chairs with some wobbly legs) but the 12 person table was plenty spacious to eat breakfast and dinner and put our toys on as well. We didn't do much cooking; really only used the microwave and the toaster. The refrigerator was huge and appeared new. There are a washer and dryer ( I did not use the dryer - there were lines to hang up clothes and - why not? Probably they dried quicker outside). The pool was large by private pool standards; deeper in the middle, long enough to actually do laps if you wanted. There are plenty of places to sit by the pool - some shaded, some not. There is plenty of parking inside the gate and outside on the street. There is AC only in the bedrooms but this was not a problem; there was a strong breeze most of the time so simply opening the front windows and door cooled the rest of the house off enough to be comfortable. There are safes in every bedroom and every bedroom has its own key. WIFI was consistent and fast. They recommend not flushing TP in the toilet which is a little strange but I did see this elsewhere on the island so suspect septic cleaning is expensive. Just make sure you save plastic bags for the garbage in the bathrooms. The gas ran out while we were there - hot water ran out. Management fixed problem next day. The dogs next door are obnoxious - there were at least 2 and maybe 4. They would bark like mad when we drove in the driveway, and would stand on their hind legs to peek over the wall when we carried out the garbage. The kids were scared, but I don't think they could jump the wall. The barking did stop once we were out of the driveway. The allure of this house for us was the location - right at the end of Arashi beach - and the pool. You can walk out the back gate and snorkel; you can walk up the beach a bit and play in the waves (rocky right behind house). You can swim from the house to Boca Catalina. The pool was big enough and deep enough for our 4 kids to play Marco Polo in.There are also pool toys to use. The neighborhood (other than the dogs) is quiet and safe; I went jogging every morning alone. I would definitely stay here again.

The house is right on the beach. Walk out the gate and within 50 feet your feet are wet. The house needs a major update, but for us it was a minor disappointment. We just slept in the house. The veranda in the back offered comfortable seating, fabulous views of the ocean, the diving pelicans and great sunsets. As there always issues or problems with every rental, how they’re handled make or break the house. We had no hot water on day two, but a call to the realtor agent Joy had the issue resolved within two hours. She was very responsive and easy to work with. The patio area had some old leaves in the corners but we could’ve cared less. The pool was clean, and we were told he’d be there once a week. Never saw him in the two weeks we were there. Overall we had a great time, and if we were to ever rent in Aruba again - we would go back in a heart beat. Oh...there was a trio of barking dogs next door that we hated for the first few days, and then you get used to them. They’d bark and howl for 4-5 minutes and then stop.

We LOVED this house so much! We were hesitant at first after seeing some of the reviews about the furnishings being old and needing updating. Yes this may be true, but it was all in great shape and added to the character of this old large house. Looks like alot of original flooring, cabinets and doors which we thought were beautiful! The location couldn’t be better-away from the resort area, but a 5 minute drive to get there for shopping and restaurants. It is, without a doubt, the BEST snorkeling on the island! We snorkeled every morning right in back of the house. We loved waking up and opening the doors and windows for a wonderful breeze and SPECTACULAR views. The A/C in the bedrooms made for a wonderful night’s sleep. The house truly had everything we needed-large fully stocked kitchen, beautiful clean pool, washer and dryer, the list goes on....There were dogs next door that barked when we came and went but they didn’t bother us one bit because we are big animal lovers. The barking never lasted long. We even bought some dog treats and would throw some over every morning. Joy was amazing to work with! She showed us around and explained everything to us when we first got there and was quick to respond to any questions we had throughout the week. We will definitely be back to stay at this beautiful home!!
